I've watched many shows and many I've even liked but I hated one aspect about them or found it annoying.
The idiot characters.
The characters who just seem to exist for the sake of screwing up stuff in the plot and never receive any comeuppance for it and you know there's no way anybody would keep these fools around episode after episode with their stupidity, and yet everything works out for them at the end. They make other characters miserable and just exist to cause problems in the plot half of the time or to ruin something that's going right.
Notable examples: Dog from CatDog, Dee Dee in Dexter's Laboratory, Michaelangelo in TMNT.
What do you guys think?

Yes. But, here is a gripe I have with the said characters:
Do you recall the character known as Cosmo from Fairly Odd Parents? This type of character is a victim of "flanderization". Basically, he was a comical, goofy, yet competent character and this remained relatively consistent for the first few seasons. But, as time progressed, Cosmo is not characterized as the generic idiot character much like the ones you have named. Insult to injury, several of the character you actually named are victims of bad character interpretations as well.

Yes. That is also an issue. Michaelangelo from TMNT is another character who suffers from it. In the comics he was a writer and a literary version of Donatello. Now he's just a complete idiot and in the 2012 series he borders on retard most of the time. Homer Simpson was not a complete idiot in season one of the Simpsons. He was a well meaning man who was a bit simple minded and had a bit of a temper but meant well for his family. There was an episode in the first season about him worrying about his family being embarrassing at a formal event. HOMER was worried about this. Look at him now. This is often a curse of long running shows. For those of you who don't know what flanderization is, it's basically when a character has a personality trait which is greatly exaggerated until they end up being known for exclusively that trait. The term is based on Ned Flanders who was Homer's better neighbor who went to church. Later on he became a religious freak. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/FlanderizationI also want to mention I have no problem with these characters in "stupid" shows that are just based on wacky and over the top "dumb" humor as I feel it fits there better. Shows like 2 Stupid Dogs, 3 Stooges, or Aqua Teen Hunger Force don't really bother me much because I expect that kind of humor and it makes more sense in context. Not to mention the two stupid dogs in that show wander around aimlessly, the 3 stooges are always looking for work or a quick buck only to get fired, and the ATHF just do god knows what. Those shows make it work much better.

Mickey has become pants on head retarded. I always thought he was more of party guy not a complete moron. I really hate his characterization in the current shows.

I thought you meant Mickey Mouse lol. I was like "I didn't know that."
Yea TMNT Mikey is bad. He was a literary genius basically in the comics, a surfer dude in the 87 show, annoying but still skilled in 2003 (with some bumbling here and there), now he's just awful.
