Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 PC System Requirements Have Been Revealed
Since the announcement back in December, more than a few players are wondering if their PCs can handle Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Well, wonder no more: the system requirements for the game have been published on Steam.
Based on the system requirements–which you can see below–Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on PC doesn’t really require that powerful a system to run. The minimum requirements are about in-line with what the recommended requirements were for Ultra Street Fighter IV on PC–a Core 2 Duo with 2 gigabytes of RAM, though the graphics card requirements have been upped to a still relatively mild GeForce GTX 260.
The recommended specifications also don’t ask for much over the minimum requirements–a Core 2 Quad and 4 gigabytes of RAM, with a GTX 560 or better for graphics.
These relatively low requirements do make sense, considering that the game originally came out in 2010. More interesting however is the requirement for a “Genuine Xbox 360 PC compatible controller,” which may indicate that the game prefers XInput devices.
Check out the full minimum and recommended specifications below.
Minimum
OS: Windows® 7 SP1 / Windows® 8.1 Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, or better Memory: 2 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX260, or better DirectX: Version 9.0c Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 16 GB available space Sound Card: DirectSound compatible (must support DirectX 9.0c or higher) Additional Notes: Genuine Xbox 360 PC compatible controller recommended Recommended
OS: Windows® 7 SP1 / Windows® 8.1 Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Quad 2.7 GHz, or better Memory: 4 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560, or better DirectX: Version 9.0c Network: Broadband Internet connection Storage: 16 GB available space Sound Card: DirectSound compatible (must support DirectX 9.0c or higher) Additional Notes: Genuine Xbox 360 PC compatible controller recommended

Over 150 female characters were considered for addition in UMvC3, but none of them made the cut - Niitsuma details roster choices
Ryota Niitsuma has taken to Twitter once more to explain what went down during the development of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and this time he's focusing on the Capcom side of the roster.
Now, we're getting to the interesting, and perhaps saddening part, where we get to hear what could've been - namely, characters that got cut from development and didn't make it in. Niitsuma prefaced the unfortunate cuts with the lines below.
Ryota Niitsuma: Our character count got reduced in the middle of developing Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, so there were some characters that got forcibly cut.
Also, no matter how hard we tried, we just couldn't come to any agreements regarding female characters, so we ended up having no new girls in the roster...
Continue below to find out who, from Capcom's side, didn't quite make it into Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 after all.
Gill: He was in the running to the very end, but we ended up replacing him with Nemesis. Our reasons were that he felt like an unnatural fit with Marvel vs. Capcom 3's game speed, and that we probably had too many Street Fighter characters already.
Fou-Lu: He definitely had domestic popularity, and there was a lot of cool stuff to use for him, like his energy sword, his monster servants, shape-changing and dragon form, but due to the level of work we had to put into him and that we thought nobody abroad would recognize him, we ended up dropping him.
From here, let's move in to female characters.
Katt, Sonson and Mai-Ling: We wanted to have a female staff user, but they ended up losing out in priority.
Arieta: She would end up giving us trouble with the game's age rating.
Rouge: Same reason as above.
Tessa: I really pushed for her. I wanted to have her rival the Impact Palm loops of Dr. Strange...
A grown up Anita: Our staff really went too far with this. There's no character like that even in Darkstalkers... She's just a kid!
Ingrid: You again?!
All in all, we had over 150 female characters in consideration for the game, but none of them ended up being realized...
One character who actually remained until our very last cuts was Nina. By the way, she was based on her Breath of Fire 1 design. I personally like her Breath of Fire 3 design the best, and we were even thinking about having a super where she brought out all the other Ninas, kind of like Mega Man's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Wii U.

That's a ton of characters actually. I would have definitely liked someone like Black Cat instead of all of the X-Men characters.

Marvel: Infinity Stones allow you to break a law of nature... for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite we envisioned that through the lens of a fighting game
In an interview at the PlayStation Experience, Director of Production at Capcom USA, Michael Evans and Mike Jones, an executive producer at Marvel Games, sat down to spill the beans on the highly anticipated Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Evans and Jones touched on a multitude of the upcoming title's characteristics, one of which was the game's unique Infinity Stone mechanic.
The idea that some characters are chosen almost strictly for one attribute is something the team wants to shy away from.
"Depending on the tools that characters have, there tend to be five or six that rise to the top. This time the system is so free form, but also the Infinity Stones are more strategic than a third character would be," explained Evans. In previous Vs. titles, some characters would only be chosen because they had a good move to pop opponents up off the ground, or maybe because they had a particularly efficient assist for covering offensive advances. Developers want characters to have broader identities this time around, and be useful in more ways than one.
Moving along with the theme of identity, Infinity Stones will also allow players to create more unique play styles despite using the same characters as others.
"Identity creation is a huge thing in Marvel games,' said Evans. "Infinity Stones allow you to break a law of nature... we kind of thought about that through the lens of a fighting game," included Jones.
The takeaway there was that the Stones mechanic will allow players to take any character in one of six different directions. Just because you see Ryu on the screen doesn't mean you'll know what style of play you're going to see. Maybe this Ryu will be overly offensive, perhaps he'll turtle up or play keep away.
This could mean that we'll be seeing a major twist on traditional character archetypes. For example, a character like Zangief is usually based around his close range grappling game. If Gief were in MvC:I and had access to a Stone that gave him incredible mobility, that could make for a kind of character seldom or never seen.

Loki too abstract? Vision too powerful? Niitsuma explains why characters didn't make it in MvC3, including Black Widow, The Hood, Kingpin and more
Since the reveal of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Ryota Niitsuma, the producer of the game's predecessor Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has taken to Twitter to reminisce about development times for that title, even though he's confirmed to have no involvement in the new game.
In one series of tweets recently, he briefly outlined some Marvel characters that were considered and why they did or didn't make the cut for the game's roster. I took the time to translate his tweets to give you guys some interesting insight in one of the FGC's favorite babies. Below, you can see his reasoning for why M.O.D.O.K. and Phoenix did end up in the game.
• M.O.D.O.K.: His visual impact was huge for us. He also provided a lot of freedom in fighting style.
• Phoenix: She's highly popular and very famous. We thought of the Dark Phoenix angle right at the start, for her.
• Black Widow: She felt like she'd be too similar to our other gun/weapon based fighters.
• The Hood: Same as above.
• Miss Marvel: It was difficult to make her stick out next to her competing candidates like She-Hulk and Storm.
• Kingpin: We really spent a lot of time deciding between him and M.O.D.O.K., but ended up going the other way simply because he seemed like he'd be more fun.
• Mystique: Having a character who's main gimmick is changing their appearance is difficult in a fighting game.
• Loki: "His speciality is to deceive his opponent's through magical illusions". Uhh, I dunno, for a fighting game... ?
• The Vision: His abilities are just way too powerful, haha.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Story will be a huge pillar of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Mega Man X will fit very deeply in the narrative say devs
If you're a fan of Mega Man X and story modes, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's developers say you're in for a real treat this go round.
"Another huge pillar of the game is going to be the story," Capcom's Michael Evans said.
"For the first time, we're getting to tell the story of how the worlds come together," Evans stated.
"Mega Man X is going to fit very deeply into the story along with Captain Marvel," he noted. How they're choosing which characters to include
"Speaking from the Marvel side, the core of everything we, from filmmaking to TV to publishing, and games, is storytelling," said Marvel Game's Mike Jones.
"And so with the new emphasis on the cinematic story mode and the story of how these two universes collide, and how our characters meet and what that means, [that] drove a lot of the creative decisions for what characters to use," Jones stated.
"If you want to enjoy a story that features all these characters that you wouldn't see in any other Marvel game, or any other Capcom game.
"This is where you're gonna see, you know, Mega Man X meets Iron Man, and what does that look like, what happens?" he added.
"As you can see, it's taken a little bit more of a cinematic approach," said Evans.
"And it's gonna have an amazing story about how these worlds came together for the first time," concluded Evans.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite set to release in latter half of 2017
We received first news of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite just under a month ago at PlayStation Experience. The upcoming addition to the Versus Series will feature a 2v2 fighting format, along with special Infinity Stones to power characters up.
The fighting game community excitedly ate this news up, breaking down the intricacies of the initial game trailer, the first gameplay sequence and footage from early character reveals. We haven't heard much in the way of a release window, until now.
In a recent interview with 4Gamer, Capcom's Tomoaki Ayano gave us some exciting new information on the game's release:
4Gamer: "Do you have any message for our readers, about your ambitions moving into 2017?"
Ayano: "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set to release in the latter half of 2017. But that's not all..." Ayano continued to talk about the Street Fighter 30th anniversary, which will also be coming in 2017.
"The cornerstone of fighting games themselves, Street Fighter, has its 30th anniversary next year," he said. "We at Capcom are very proud of this memorable occasion. Everyone reading 4Gamer, and anyone who's a Street Fighter fan, get as excited as you're capable of for this upcoming year, and please look forward to it!"

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite hasn't lost that bombastic, 'seizure-inducing style' that everybody loves - players won't need crazy dexterity for combos
During the course of the PlayStation Experience weekend, Capcom and Marvel took the time to sit down with PlayStation in order to discuss the recently announced versus series title, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
Capcom's Michael Evans and Marvel's Mike Jones shared several important details about the upcoming fighter, including the fact that it will have a focus on the story aspect, how the Infinity Stones will work, and game balance. They also shed a bit more light on the two-character teams dynamic.
"You can think of your two characters operating as one character," Jones started. "You're making combos that... You're not just using one character's tool set, you're using both tool sets and you can freestyle."
With one less fighter on the field (per team) than its predecessor, some believe that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite might end up feeling limited in its potential. Jones feels that the game will be a fun experience for players, and with Infinity Stones thrown into the mix, there will be a lot of room for creativity.
"We're taking it in a very exciting direction," Evans added. Because Infinite is steering away from the "3v3 with assists" format that MvC fans are accustomed to, there is also concern that the essence of the series will not be recaptured. Both companies seem to be aware of this, and assure fans that the high-flying, fast-paced action is still in tact.
"It hasn't lost any of that bombastic, seizure-inducing style that everybody loves the series for" Jones explains.
That's not to say that newcomers should be discouraged. The Marvel vs. Capcom series is known for being execution-heavy and technical (at high levels of play), but Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is keeping the layman in mind.
"We are putting a big focus on making sure it's playable on gamepad as well as joystick," Jones states. "You don't have to have a pro player stick and all the crazy dexterity to do crazy combos.
"We want people to just be able to pick up and play."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's partner system aims to retain the depth found in assists, DHCs, and other mechanics from past games
Such statements cause concern within the hardcore competitive scene, as attempts to appeal more to a casual audience can sometimes result in less depth or potential in a fighting game. However, both Marvel and Capcom are aware of this and have plans to keep that depth intact.
"In previous iterations, there are all these individual features," Jones started. "There's assists, delayed hyper combos, team hyper combos, and all these different types of scenarios that you can create.
"What we tried to do is actually, in a very elegant way, put that into a singular partner sort of mechanic that you can use free-form that allows you to create those scenarios yourself. However you want to play, [you can] develop your own sort of team synergy play-style." Accessibility is a double-edged sword in the world of fighting games. On one hand, equipping a competitive title with a lower skill requirement for entry allows the fan base to grow. On the other hand, there's risk that it may disinterest the hardcore players that help keep these games alive.
So, what's the answer to this predicament?
"ComboFiend. Hire ComboFiend," both representatives joked.
The Marvel vs. Capcom series is nothing short of intricate, something fans and the games' developers know very well. Capcom and Marvel seem confident that hardcore fans will be happy with the game once they spend time with it.
"Early on, we had a lot of conversations, and we knew this would be a big discussion point when we announced the game. But once people get their hands on it, they'll understand it," Jones said.
According to the developers, players will actually be able to do more with their characters in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite than they could in previous versus titles.
"Add on to that the Infinity Stones that totally augment your tool set, now we think there are really infinite game-play possibilities," Jones continued. "That's where the hardcore users shine."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The third team member in UMvC3 felt totally superfluous - Combofiend explains why Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite took on the 2v2 format
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is the highly anticipated 2017 edition to the competitive fighting game staple Versus series.
Unlike its predecessors, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and 3, Infinite has taken a departure from the three character, assist-heavy approach to try for a fresher 2v2 system accompanied by special power ups in the game's Infinity Stones.
Though no one outside the development team has gotten to play the working title yet, fans of the series have already expressed concern at this decision. Capcom's Peter "Combofiend" Rosas held a discussion with Edge Magazine in which he spoke on the choice to depart from the 3v3 format.
"Players had to make roughly six decisions before they could fight. The people were looking for two characters, which corresponded to their preference," explained Rosas to Edge. "But the third fighter was chosen solely because of his function – perhaps he had a particularly strong anti-air move or something like that … This selection felt totally superfluous," he finished.
While perhaps not always the case, there were more than a few times wherein we saw players select certain fighters simply for one of their characteristics.
As we've heard in developer interviews from PlayStation Experience, the MvCI team very much wants to make every character viable for play in a well-rounded way.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite not forced to be tied to any comic or movie canon and will allow the developers creative freedoms Bill Rosemann of Marvel Games recently had an interview with IGN regarding the topic of the storylines of the upcoming Marvel games. Games like Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, Square Enix The Avengers project, and Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. Rosemann had this to say on the subject: We want to give [developers] freedom to tell their story and we want to make it an original story. We want to give our partners... freedom to look at all of Marvel history and to pick from what interests them. I suppose this news isn't too surprising. Limiting the story based on everything that has happened in either the comics or the movies would be rather difficult for this type of game. It is noted that they don't want to force the timeline of a Marvel game to match up with some form of media. This means that we will only have a general idea of the histories between Marvel characters. It's pretty fair to assume that characters like Captain America and (just as a random example) Red Skull are likely to still be sworn enemies. But their interactions won't necessarily be limited to what was shown in the movies, the comics, or the television shows. Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will tell its own unique story. It's probably a good thing that you don't need a bunch of background knowledge of what's going on in another media outside of the game to know what is going on. This is not unlike the previous Marvel vs. Capcom games that MvCI is rebooting. It's also similar to the Injustice storyline in that it tells a story that only, at best, references comics and other media but isn't directly tied to them. This is definitely reflected in the intention based on more from Rosemann: We want [our development partners] to have passion, we want them to put their stamp on the games. It's their game. We want it to be their vision. It is also nice to know that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite won't be rushed out to fit in with some timeline of a movie or comic's release. Here's hoping that this will give the game plenty of time for polish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Toy Line Mentioned at Hasbro’s Toy Fair 2017 Presentation Here’s some interesting news for any Marvel vs. Capcom fans, who also happen to like toys and action figures: buried alongside all their announcements at their Toy Fair 2017 presentation, Hasbro made quick mention of an upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite toy line. Initially tweeted by toy blog Preternia.com’s Twitter, the news was later picked up by a few other toy sites. Sadly, it seems that we’ll have to wait for any further details on the toy line, as it was only briefly mentioned in passing by Hasbro, with no pictures or concrete details provided. However, some sites are reporting that Target will be receiving an exclusive 2-pack from the set. marvelousnews.com/index.php?catid=23&itemid=21283awesometoyblog.com/2017/02/18/toy-fair-2017-hasbros-toy-fair-presentation-marvel/Source: eventhubs & shoryuken

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Can Be Pre-Loaded on Steam Right Now
For players looking forward to playing Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on PC on March 7, here’s some great news that can help you play the game as soon as it’s available. The pre-load for UMvC3 is now available on Steam.
For those who don’t know what this means, pre-loading allows players to download all the files necessary for a game to their hard drives before the game’s official release date. This means that the game become available for players who pre-load as soon as it’s out.
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3’s pre-load requires 3.5 gigabytes of hard drive space. While this isn’t large by today’s standards, it can still take awhile to download, especially for those on slower connections. Pre-loading then can help players get in game without having to wait on launch day.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite news coming soon, or is Ono just being... Ono?
Ono took to Twitter to let us all know that Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3's physical re-release would be available on March 7th, although that's something we already knew.
The game I think everybody is mostly interested in these days is the series reboot, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. It has been awhile since we've heard anything about that game.
It is worth noting that Ono briefly mentioned it in his Tweet.
Is Ono saying that the next announcement will be related to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite or to wait for the next Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite announcement (which doesn't narrow it down at all).

New Glitch Keeps Phoenix from Going Dark in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
Dark Phoenix has cast a spectre over the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 series since the game’s launch; while she was adjusted in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, players such as Splyce|Filipino Champ, RyanLV, Noel Brown, and Neo have continued to show how Dark Phoenix remains a threat.
With Dark Phoenix continuing to be dangerous, players have come up with all sorts of ways to counter her. This new method, however, may be the most unique. Finisher of war has discovered a glitch using Firebrand that keep Phoenix from going Dark when she revives.
The glitch involves using a move or assist, such as Viewtiful Joe’s “Shocking Pink” bomb that damages both Firebrand and Phoenix, while killing the latter. Instead of Phoenix reviving as Dark Phoenix however, she instead simply gets all her life back, while losing the 5 bars of meter she would have used to activate the Dark Phoenix state.
You can see the glitch in action in the video below. Currently, it seems to work only with Firebrand; whether or not other characters can trigger it is–as of yet–unknown.

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gets exclusive comic book for the game's physical release on PS4 and Xbox One, interview with issue's artists Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 just saw a physical release for modern consoles, and if you decide to pick it up, you will find a nice bonus included. Namely, a comic book written by Jim Zub and drawn by Sean Chen and Gerardo Sandoval, the cover of which you can see right here. thacmaster.proboards.com/thread/3204/marvel-capcom-series?page=1@jan 20, 2017 at 1:13am by NyuNozomiHyuga Capcom Unity conducted an interview with the comic's two artists, in which they answer a few questions about their feelings working on a comic book which combines the Marvel unvierse with the various Capcom worlds. Please introduce yourself and give us a little background on what you do for Marvel. Sean Chen - I'm a veteran comic book artist with about 20 years in the industry. Mostly known for a long run on the Iron Man comic, but have also done stints on Wolverine, X-Men, Spider-Man, The Avengers, among others. These days I split my time between comic and advertising. In comics, I do mostly covers and special projects for different publishers. In the advertising industry, I mostly do storyboards for television commercials. Gerardo Sandoval - My name is Gerardo Sandoval. I have worked on titles such as: Age of Apocalypse, X-Men, Guardians 3000, New Avengers, Wolverine and Venom. When you were approached with this project, what was your reaction? SC - I knew it was going to be lots of fun. It was a great opportunity to draw many of the iconic Marvel heroes that I loved, as well as some of the well-known Capcom characters. While I was unfamiliar with some of them, they were all great fun to draw. Researching the few characters that I didn't know too well turned me into a fan. They were all well designed, both visually and in personality and abilities. GS - When I was younger I was a gamer. I really loved Capcom and everything Street Fighter. For me this opportunity was a huge surprise because I always wanted to do a Capcom vs Marvel art piece and I never thought that it could be possible. Being more familiar with drawing characters from the Marvel universe what approach did you take when creating your own renditions of characters from the Capcom universe? SC - First and foremost, I wanted to make sure that they all appeared and acted in character. Obviously, Capcom, being the steward of these characters, as well as the diehard fans of them really care how they are portrayed. A big part of my job is to make sure to be respectful by acknowledging that there are people very passionate about these characters. I did my homework and did a fair amount of research, which included discussing the characters with my son and some of his friends. The challenging part is that some of the Capcom characters are on the very realistic end of the spectrum, such as Chris Redfield. Others such as Viewtiful Joe are very cartoony. Trying to integrate the different art genres into one story universe took some thought and calibration. GS - It’s not easy to design a piece like this because I only had one chance to create the main characters. I had to make each one of the characters in a pose very familiar to the fans. As a fan myself I knew Capcom characters and how they should look, so it was really fun, but not easy to put all the main characters together in one shot. Who is your favorite character to draw from both the Marvel and Capcom universes and why? SC - I always love drawing Iron Man since I am very tech oriented. A big part of the fun of drawing comics is to engage a variety of character types, and this book had them all. A great counterpoint to the hard edges of Iron Man was the organic and feminine forms of Storm and Morrigan. It was also great fun to draw the anime and cartoon characters as Zero and Viewtiful Joe. I would have to say that Morrigan was the most fun to draw from the Capcom side because she had a unique offbeat design. In terms of personality, Viewtiful Joe was great fun to portray because of his big, in your face attitude. GS - Venom, Wolverine, Sagat or Zangief. For some reason, I am not into the good guys, I always liked the bad guys. Not Luke Skywalker but Darth Vader, not Spider-man but Venom, not Ryu but Sagat. Villains, or anti-heroes, are more interesting characters for me so I really enjoy drawing bad guys. Also, when I was a gamer, I always played as a villain. Who is your favorite character to play from both the Marvel and Capcom universes and why? SC - Some of the Capcom characters have been around forever, such as Chun-Li and Ryu, so they are the ones I am familiar with from my younger days. As far a Marvel is concerned, Wolverine is always a favorite. How does it feel to know your name is now cemented in this epic franchise that has spanned over 20 years? GS - It’s one of my dreams come true. It's a great achievement but at the same time not enough for me. I really had the dream of being part of something like this but not only with one art piece. I hope in the future I can produce more art for this epic series. A huge thanks to both Sean and Gerardo for their beautiful work on the exclusive comic and giving their thoughts on the franchise! The all-new comic book is a must-have for collectors and fans of the series and tells the story of two colliding universes featuring some of the most iconic Marvel and Capcom characters in its 10 full pages of action packed story. The PlayStation 4 version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 has an extra frame of input lag
One of the big talking points within the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 community is whether the PlayStation 4 version–the one that many a TO has been using as the tournament standard since December–has more input lag compared to the old Xbox 360 version. To find out, DisplayLag ran tests on both versions, as well as the Xbox One version, to see if that really was the case.
The tests–the results of which you can see in the video below–ran on the latest updated versions of the game on all three consoles, and were conducted using the same controller using a Brook Universal Fighting Board, on the same ASUS VG245H monitor. The latter helps ensure that any measured lag isn’t due to the hardware being used.
The results are pretty shocking to say the least. While both Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions clock in at around 5 frames of input lag (rounded up from 4.6 on the Xbox 360 and 4.8 on the Xbox One), the PlayStation 4 version seemingly has an extra frame of delay at about 6 frames. This means that the current tournament standard in use in most events is actually slower than the old standard.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite news inbound? Ono and his trademark Blanka toy send out a tweet from Marvel's Burbank offices
Yoshinori Ono returns to Twitter for what might be a hint at things to come.
Last night, the Capcom Producer sent out a tweet from Marvel's offices in Burbank, California. Of course, his trademark Blanka toy accompanied him.
Ono writes that he and Marvel had a "good conference" and seems to hint that he has a lot to say, but can't quite write it at the moment. Note the winking smiley emotes.
If you've been following Ono for a little while, you probably know that his cryptic tweets such as this one are often in reference to an upcoming announcement.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite was originally revealed last December at the PlayStation Experience, and since then we haven't really heard much more about the upcoming crossover title.
We're probably overdue for an announcement now, so here's hoping Ono is indeed referencing an upcoming reveal of some sort.

Is the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite news drought over? Credible source says 'big surprises' may be coming at the end of this week
Going to kick things off by slapping the "unofficial" banner on this right away, but we've just got word that we very well may be getting some big Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite news very soon.
Ryce, the same person who called the Marvel vs. Capcom announcement at PlayStation Experience, has taken to NeoGAF with the following message:
"So I hear there was an MvCI press event in Germany a few days ago and that the embargo lifts at the end of the week. There are some big surprises in store, which I'm not going to spoil out of respect to Capcom."
It's been months since we've heard any news on this game, so the community naturally brims with excitement at even the hint of an announcement or reveal. We'll keep our ears to the ground on this front, and let you know the moment we hear anything concrete.

Ultron may be coming to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, according to a leaked character list Following an initial rumor that there could be a big information dump later this week for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, French website Jeuxvideo may have accidentally released the names of eight characters ahead of the news embargo. Before it was taken down, crafty Marvel fans were able to archive the post. The eight characters that we may see in this rumored preview are: webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Nq7IvGzvTlAJ:www.jeuxvideo.com/news/647068/marvel-vs-capcom-infinite-8-nouveaux-personnages-devoiles.htm+&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ukUltron Hulk Thor Hawkeye Rocket Raccoon Chun-Li Strider Hiryu Chris Redfield The list is fairly conservative, with Ultron being the only brand-new character revealed in this preview. With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 releasing this weekend in the UK, it makes sense for Marvel and Capcom to ride the hype train. Compared to others, this leak seems pretty believable. With Capcom UK community manager Matthew Edwards recently tweeting about playing “unreleased games” (note the fight sticks in the picture), it is all looking plausible for something MvC:I-related to be happening soon. Ono - Next Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite announcement is coming soon! Has the MvCI news dam finally burst? After months and months of silence on the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite front, Capcom finally hit us with a ton of Marvel news, including a release date of September 19th, just yesterday. Though it may not have been on purpose, we also got to see nearly five minutes of gameplay from a video that dropped earlier today. Needless to say, we're excited, but how long is the company going to wait before giving us another peek? Not long, according to Capcom Producer Yoshinori Ono. We're not sure what role, if any, the Street Fighter figure is playing in the development of the latest MvC title, but he took to Twitter recently to encourage fans with the following statement: Yes, it is technically an announcement of an announcement, but considering the dam now appears broken, we imagine we'll be hearing more news sooner rather than later. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite official gameplay trailer - shows powerful Infinity Stone effect and big combos A brand new Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite trailer has been released. This time, we get an official look at the fast-paced gameplay. The trailer includes characters such as Chun-Li, Hawkeye, Thor, Hulk, Strider, and Ultron showing off several of the tools in their arsenal. If you've been anxious to see how combos in MvCI work, this footage is a perfect example. We also get a glimpse of the Space Infinity Stone's power. In the clip shown, we see that the stone creates an energy box around the opponent in which their movement is heavily limited. Source: eventhubs

First Rocket Raccoon gameplay in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, shows hyper combo featuring Groot
The official Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Twitter page has released the first gameplay footage of Rocket Raccoon in the form of a quick teaser.
This clip shows one of the character's hyper combos (looks to be a lv. 3), and it features Guardians of the Galaxy teammate Groot.
Oh, and the tweet also confirms that Rocket will be playable in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. But you've probably already gathered that from the gameplay footage.

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Costume Set There are four DLC costumes total: Gladiator Hulk, Command Mission X, Evil Ryu, and Warrior Thor. Which ones you get will be dependent on what version of the game you purchase. For those looking to score the Evil Ryu and Warrior Thor digs, you can pre-order the standard or deluxe version of the game. If you want all four, though, you'll have to pick up the deluxe edition. The deluxe edition of the game will run you $89.99 USD. This purchase option comes with the game itself, a steelbook case, and the 2017 character pass which gives you access to the first six DLC characters. You can also opt to pick up the collector's edition, if you want the total Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite package. This includes the deluxe edition, as well as four premium character dioramas and a case holding replicas of the Infinity Stones. The price tag on the collector's edition is $199.99 USD. Players who purchase the game on PlayStation 4 will gain access to this exclusive alternate costume. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exclusive, premium Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Spider-Man costume available to those who purchase Spider-Man Homecoming on consoles We learn of a new DLC costume headed to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Spider-Man fans will be happy to hear that the web-slinger is getting an exclusive costume on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. To acquire it, you'll have to purchase the Spider-Man Homecoming film on either console. For PS4 users, you'll need to do so sometime between July 7th and October 24th. If you do, you will receive a code for a "Superior Spider-Man Premium Costume " that is exclusive to Homecoming. The official description for the movie listing on both consoles makes note of the DLC attire. Unfortunately, no images of what the alternate outfit looks like were provided. According to the Microsoft Store, the special Spider-Man costume has a value of $3.99. This could be the price point we see for DLC costumes in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite going forward. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Pop! figures for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite show off unseen premium alternate costumes for Chun-Li, Ultron, Gamora and others We're very excited and not surprised at all to see that Funko Pop! is coming out with vinyl collectibles for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, but the hype jumped up yet another notch when we noticed the costumes a few of these fighters donned in their Pop! iterations. The figures (to become available in November) are shown in packs of two, and feature some premium costumes. While we've already seen Captain Marvel's, Chun-Li, Ultron, Rocket and Gamora's are brand new reveals. Chun puts on more of a Western stage performer look, while Gamora wears what looks like a silk hood and royal, flowing robes. During a talk with Marvel, Funko's Project Manager, Erin Macke, spoke on the costume choice for the figurines. news.marvel.com/games/74581/marvel-gamerverse-unleashed/"In general, we tried to use premium alternate costumes found in the game and this is actually the first time anyone has seen these alternate looks," he explained. "While the costumes we selected may not be those that fans will think of first when they picture a character from the game, we think that will make for a very exciting and fresh take on these beloved characters." We do see what looks like an in-game model for Chun in the gallery, but will have to use our imaginations for what Gamora, Ultron, X and Rocekt's character models will look like for the time being. www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2017/sep/14/pop-games-infinite/2/Source: eventhubs

Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Available Now Basic gameplay guide for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is a 2v2 fighting game and the latest installment in the Versus series. While MvCI does follow the traditional format that the long standing franchise has been built upon, it also sees departures from and new additions for the sake of having a fresh look and feel. Getting started with such a fast paced fighter can be a bit intimidating, but we've got a basics guide to help you be as ready and confident as possible. Below you'll find all the commands for the essential mechanics and moves to get your MvCI experience started off on the right foot. Controller Scheme Infinite migrates away from its immediate predecessor (Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3) and readopts the controller configuration of Marvel vs. Capcom 2. There are four attack buttons: LP, HP, LK, & HK and then a button for Active Switch as well as one for activating Infinity Surge. Switch Surge Techniques, Universal Moves and Features This section lists some techniques that are part of the game engine that you can use to become a better player at Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite. Utilizing these will help you capitalize on damage as well as escape from dangerous situations. Switch • Active Switch • By pressing the third button on the top row of your arcade stick, you'll initiate Active Switch. This calls in your second character, giving you immediate control of them while your current character exits the stage after finishing any animations they may be performing. MvCI is different from many other tag-based fighters in that it offers a relatively liberal approach on tag outs. You can do them at almost any time before losing a character. Switch (Hold while being hit) • Counter Switch • This mechanic is new for MvCI, and allows players to tag their partner in while being hit with a combo. The trade off is that it will cost two full meters to do so. Down+HP • Launcher • Each character has a universal launcher move, mapped to crouching heavy punch. Every character also has a universal launcher combo: light punch, light kick, heavy kick, and crouching heavy punch. Surge • Infinity Surge • This will activate the basic power of whichever of the six Infinity Stones you've chosen to play with, and will build the Infinity Gauge with successful utilization. (Infinity Gauge also fills from taking damage.) Surge+Switch • Infinity Storm • When the Infinity Gauge is filled to any point beyond the halfway marker, you can activate your Infinity Storm comeback mechanic to greatly augment your battle plan. The effects of Infinity Storm vary from Stone to Stone. LP (Press repeatedly) • Auto Combos • To improve accessibility, the game includes an auto-combo system which allows players to mash the light punch button to automatically perform both ground and air combos. Each character has only one auto combo. HP+HK • Super Combos • Super Combo commands are character specific, can be activated by simply pressing the two heavy attack buttons, as opposed to the specific joystick and button combinations required in previous titles. Forward, Forward or Back, Back or LP+HP (Can also be done in the air) • Dash and Instant Air Dash (IAD) • Pressing forward or backward twice will cause your character to leap forward or backward. This can also be done whilst airborne by pressing two punches (forward dash) or two punches + backward for a back dash. Back or Forward+HP (When close, can also be done in the air) • Throws and Throw Techs • Entering the command above will throw your opponent. To tech a throw, do the exact same motion. Down+UP • Super Jump • Like a regular jump but much higher, Super Jumps can save you from many trap scenarios. Press down and then quickly press up to jump at a much higher distance. If it isn't working, do the motion faster. Don't forget that nearly all the characters can jump again after a super jump. You can also use the diagonal up-back or up-forward positions to Super Jump in those directions instead of directly up. Down(During Super Jump) • Short Hop • By holding down during a Super Jump, you can cut the jump short and head toward the ground. This can be done any time during a Super Jump. Punch+Kick(While in block stun) • Advancing Guard • Advancing Guard is a technique which pushes the opponent back and almost totally nullifies chip damage when blocking. It also helps you recover faster from block stun. Advancing Guard can also reflect non-beam projectiles. Press any two punch or kick buttons while in block stun to use Advancing Guard. Using Advancing Guard also minimizes chip damage. Beware, aggressors can counter Advancing Guard by changing the timing of their attacks to allow defenders to come out of block stun, causing them to drop their guard altogether. • Universal Off The Ground • All characters in MvCI can perform an OTG move to foes that have been knocked down. To do this, simply perform a low hitting attack while your opponent is on their back to pop them back up. Each character has their own OTG move(s). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to Play Characters Part 1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite's next four DLC characters confirmed Monster Hunter, Winter Solider, Black Widow and Venom join the battle It's official, folks. The next four DLC characters headed to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite have been confirmed. In a new Capcom Unity post detailing the game's upcoming release, Capcom has provided a statement setting the identities of these characters in stone. "We know there has been much speculation on who the remaining four characters will be, and we are happy to announce that Monster Hunter, Winter Solider, Black Widow and the shape-shifting Venom will all be battling their way into Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite later this year," the blog reads. "We are hard at work on these characters and can’t wait to show them to you when they are ready! The epic clash has begun, join the battle now!" These characters fall in line fairly closely to the leaks we've heard in the past. This is the first time we are hearing of Black Widow, however. The game's story mode features a symbiote (which is a direct reference to Venom) as well as a Monster Hunter that plays a part in one of the scenes. The four aforementioned fighters join Sigma and Black Panther to round out the first wave of DLC characters. At this point in time, there are no details on pricing or release. Capcom's statement seems to suggest that all six of the first DLC characters will be available by the end of this year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Source: eventhubs
