I was always a big fan of Mario Kart back in the day but I hadn't kept up with the recent stuff. I wonder how the playstyle on this will be.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch Looks Fast and Furious in 20 Minutes of Gameplay
Yesterday many were surprised by the fact that Nintendo did not give more room to shine to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on its Nintendo Switch presentation from Tokyo, but today the house of Mario and Zelda made it up during a Treehouse livestream.
The footage shows plenty of gameplay, including some of the new characters that will come included in the game, alongside all the DLC characters.
We also learn that the game runs runs at full 1080p, 60 FPS when the console is docked in its base, and 720, 60 FPS when undocked.

Mario and the Gang are Ready for Competition in Mario Sports Superstars Mario and his many friends are no strangers when it comes to the world of sports, with the team assembling for all kinds of competition in a newly-revealed 3DS sports title. Here are videos & info for all the sports for Mario Sports Superstars from dualshockers:
The game’s baseball mode looks to play similarly to Super Mario Sluggers .
The soccer mode in Mario Sports Superstars seems to play similarly to the Next Level games developed Super Mario Strikers.
Golf
Fore! For something a bit more laid back, grab your clubs and head to the fairway for a few rounds of Golf. From the leafy pines of Emerald Woods to the sandy slopes of Crystal Beach, go from link to link and tackle the tournaments in golfing action that’s anything but par for the course.
As with the other sports, you can take a swing at computer-controlled opponents, or putt your skills to the test against friends near or far with Local Play and online options.
Tee off! Choose the right club for the shot and swing away, taking into account the distance, wind strength and terrain. Advanced players can use the manual shot mode for extra precision, allowing you to strike the ball more accurately to add curve and spin to your drives.
You can cycle through several different camera options with the Touch Screen, so whether you’re teeing off or lining up that nerve-racking Birdie putt on the green, you can always get the best view of the action.
In Stroke Play, you call the shots – play up to nine holes and affect environmental settings like the wind strength, as well as the tee position and hole order. Brush up on your approach play in the training mode, or take on the Ring Challenge to prove your putting prowess.
The game’s golf mode which seems to play similarly to the Mario Golf series.
Horse Racing Leap into the saddle of your very own race horse and don’t stop ‘til you’ve cleared the final furlong. In this high-speed sport, you’ll go neck-and-neck with other racers as you dodge obstacles, leap over hazards and dash to the finish line. Up to six players can race together via Local Play or jump online.
And they’re off! Choose your jockey and horse, then speed around 12 different courses set in four distinct areas, each with its own look and feel. Tracks are littered with useful pick-ups, like stamina-replenishing carrots and special-building Stars, so there’s plenty of opportunity to giddy-up and get ahead.
Once you’ve grabbed enough Stars, unleash your Star Dash to get an incredible speed boost and rush to the front of the pack. You can even perform double jumps to reach high-up items and get the upper hand on the opposition.
Stick together Naturally, you’ll be eager to get to the front of the pack, but don’t get too far ahead – horses actually run faster when they’re galloping together. This phenomenon is known as the Herd Effect, and it means that streaming off way out in front is a bad idea. Steady yourself, stay with the chasing pack and use your dash wisely.
Take a break After an exhausting race, head to the Stable and reward your trusty steed with some well-deserved R&R. You can feed, pet, and brush your horse, or if you fancy an open-air stroll, why not take it for a walk? By looking after your horse and keeping it in tip-top condition, you’ll improve its Mood, so it’ll perform better on race day. You can unlock new accessories for it to wear, too!
The tennis mode in Mario Sports Superstars plays like the popular Mario Tennis series of games.
Tennis
Tennis, anyone? Take to the court and serve up thrilling end-to-end action in this classic racket sport. Expertly chain together lobs, drop shots and more at just the right time to keep your opponents on their toes.
Mix it up In tennis, it’s all about timing, positioning and, more crucially, choosing the right shot for the job. Lob opponents who’re adopting a high line, or pepper deep-sitters with some power shots into the far corner, using the Circle Pad to aim. Keep the rally going for a chance to unleash a blazing Ultra Smash and really overwhelm the opposition!
Simply sublime Wield your racket like a pro and fend off all-comers to take top spot in the tournaments. Wow the crowd by performing acrobatic jump shots and showy chance shots, or, if you’d prefer, play in Simple mode for a more straightforward tennis experience where your speed, strategy and reactions become even more crucial!
Double the fun Just like in the other sports, you can play solo or with others. Up to four can play via Local Play or online. Struggling to get the numbers? You can tap in a Mario Sports Superstars amiibo card (sold separately or as part of a software bundle), and have that character join as your very own Doubles partner, so there’s always someone to play with!

Watch Super Mario Odyssey Gameplay on Nintendo Switch in Action; Mario Shows His Jumps and Moves
Nintendo hosted a public event at Tokyo Big Sight in Japan, in order to let Japanese gamers go hands-on with the Nintendo Switch. As part of the livestream, they also showcased some gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey.
Specifically, they demonstrated some of the moves that Mario can execute in the new games, in the following order: three-step jump, long jump, back flip, hip drop -> jump, tree climbing, body attack and hat throw.
Of course, you also get to see the new visuals of the game in the “New York” setting, even if no actual platforming was showcased.
Super Mario Odyssey will release this Holiday Season, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.

See How Fans Reacted to Super Mario Odyssey in New Video
Nintendo has released a video promoting the upcoming adventure game for the Nintendo Switch, Super Mario Odyssey.
The video features a little game-play but it focuses on the reaction of various fans to the game’s reveal trailer.
As expected, response is largely positive, with fans expressing excitement for various elements of the game, including the atmosphere, graphics, the game-play mechanics involving Mario’s hat, the lion you can ride through the desert and, of course, the all new characters.
I’m surprised none of the fans mentioned being excited to explore New Donk City, a confirmed location from the title. One sentiment echoed by just about every player though is excitement to play Super Mario Odyssey. We still have quite a wait ahead of us though since the game isn’t due out until this holiday season.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Gets Jazzy New Trailer Showing Off Content
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is around the bend, and Nintendo UK has releases a brand new trailer highlighting all the features to be found in the Nintendo Switch remake. Boasting the game as “the biggest Mario Kart game yet!”, the title focuses on the breadth of racers (40), the tracks available (48) and the different ways you can play the title.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was stealth-revealed in the Nintendo Switch livestream from Tokyo — placed in their sizzle reel without much of a mention. A remaster of Wii U’s Mario Kart 8, the game includes all of the original’s DLC along with new modes, characters and more. Despite the “biggest Mario Kart” claim, the game caps off at 7GB of memory (roughly 21% of total system memory for those downloading).
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launches exclusively on Nintendo Switch on April 28, 2017.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Trailer Showcases What’s New Nintendo released a trailer Mario Kart 8 Deluxe today that delves into what’s new in this Nintendo Switch port. In addition to all of the content already available in the Mario Kart 8 and its DLC, this deluxe edition of the popular Wii U game includes new characters. These new characters are the Inkling Boy and Girl from Splatoon, King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr.. Battle mode has also been revamped in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, becoming closer to the version found in older Mario Kart games within its eight courses. Players can also steal items and turn invisible with the new Boo item, and jump over opponents and obstacles with the Feather, which hasn’t been seen since Super Mario Kart on the SNES. Double items have also made their return. There are also now Smart Steering and Auto Accelerating options, which can make driving a lot easier for younger players. One shouldn’t always expect to win when using these settings though, as the game will play it safe when driving, and one’s character won’t have the ability to use items on their own. The Nintendo Switch’s portability also means that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe can be played anywhere whether it’s docked or in Handheld/Tabletop mode. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Promotion Is Bringing ‘Super Target Karts’ to Target Stores In an effort to prepare retail shoppers for the impending release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on April 28, Target retail stores will be transformed into one big marketing campaign for the Nintendo title. As if nobody on the marketing team considered the fact that shopping carts are already often used as racing vehicles, Target has announced that over 650 stores across the United States will feature shopping carts that have been turned into… Mario Karts, but they’re calling them “Super Target Karts.” They will be styled after Mario, Luigi, and Peach. But that’s not the only way Target has decided to turn its stores into Mario-themed race tracks. At store entrances, shoppers will find black-and-white checkered start/finish lines, flashing lights, and the Super Mario Bros. theme song. It really feels like they’re trying to encourage something, right? Outside of the store, Target’s large, red bollards will also be decorated to look like Mario and Luigi’s heads. Unfortunately, this precaution probably won’t prevent too many karts from flying out Target doors and into a parked vehicle. This promotion will only be continuing for the next few weeks, so if you’ve always dreamt of riding in a shopping cart themed after a Mario Kart game, make your way to the nearest Target. If one of your greatest fears is being run down by someone haphazardly steering a shopping cart, maybe some time away from Target might be in order. Heres an extra video from GameXplain for when your about to enter the store: Source: dualshockers & Youtube

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Gets Less Offensive in New Update Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s latest update — update 1.1 — has finally arrived, and it notably removes an offensive hand gesture. For those that don’t know what I’m talking about, in the game, one Inkling Girl (who shouldn’t be in the game in the first place..only Mario characters..there I said it) animation had a hand gesture that is deemed offensive in a number of countries. The animation — or rather expression — in question involves her raising a clenched first while the other arm holds the raised bicep. This was a celebratory expression for Inkling Girl, that is (or looks close to) the “Italian salute,” which is considered offensive in some territories like France, Portugal, much of Latin America, etc. The update changes the Italian Salute to a simple fist pump. BEFORE: AFTER: The swapping out of the offensive Inkling Girl gesture wasn’t the only change to come in the 1.1 update: you can check everything tweaked and changed via the full patch notes below: Update 1.1 – Opponents’ names are displayed in the rear view mirror view in online matches. Invincibility period after a spin-out or crash is longer in online matches. Up to two players can spectate a friend group while they wait to join. Worldwide and Regional modes add players to Mirror and 200cc matches less often. Can now properly create a friend lobby when you have 100 or more friends. Inkling Girl’s animation has been adjusted. Starting positions in online races now properly reflect the order in which players join. Driver Miis now properly showing facial expressions. Tournament clock now properly reflects real-world time. Have you played this game? What do you think of it? I have only played Mario Kart 8 for Wii U when it first came out, its honestly a very solid kart racer which is addition to Mario Kart 7 which you can glide & go underwater which adds zero gravity (which is a mechanic like Crash Nitro Kart Console Versions) with very beautiful visuals The only thing that sucks about Mario Kart 8 exclusive to Wii U was the Battle Maps is just Race Tracks with Battle Rules (Maps: Moo Moo Meadows, Dry Dry Desert, Donut Plains 3, Toad's Trunpike, Mario Circuit, Toad Harbor, Sherbet Land, & Yoshi Valley) which are very huge which the more playtime you would need in Tracks is like 5 minutes or more which Deluxe completely replace with proper Arena Maps. Even though I don't own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe but from what I've seen and cover this is an enhancement of Mario Kart 8 with additions which is a worthy purchase.

Super Mario Odyssey Cultural Appropriation alters Box Art Written By: Nyu Nozomi Hyuga SJW midset: During E3, where we see Mario exploring around like other 3D Mario games in the past, using Capy for many things, hearing that lovely music, and wearing various costumes that you get from the shops. But there is a huge problematic flaw that us open minded people cannot accept in the name of diversity, and that is Mario wearing a Sombrero & a Poncho which that is Racist to the poor Mexicans would make Me want to not play the game to stand against White Supremacy. Me: These people really love to find anything to be offended, once a character has culture that doesn't belong to where said character from is cultural appropriation, here are the ones that oppose: i.redd.it/ohrbccudwg3z.pngBut the only good new for SJW is that the box art got altered: Original: Changed: Here is our CEO and President of America Reggie Fils-Aimé have to say “Making political statements are for other people to do, We want people to smile and have fun when they play our games.” Makes Me wonder what Mario wearing Mexican theme has anything to do with making a Political Statement? Super Mario Odyssey Available
Written By: Nyu Nozomi Hyuga
Super Mario Odyssey is now available in time for holidays, Mario is now equipped with his cap that can attack, turn into a platform, and being able to control enemies. To celebrate its release here is a bundle of gameplay videos to catch anyones interest with another 3D Mario adventure and checking out its features:
Game download size detail from dualshockers: "The title will take up approximately 5.7 gigabytes of storage on the Nintendo Switch as a digital purchase — for those who haven’t picked up a MicroSD card yet, 22% of the 25.9 GB available memory. This isn’t including any sort of potential day one patches. It’s worth nothing that Nintendo’s been very good at making many of their first-party titles as small as can be through optimization. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild came in at around 13.4 GB, Splatoon 2 was 3.2 GB, Arms took up a measly 2.2 GB, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came in at around 7 GB.
Of course you won’t really have to worry about file size if you still buy most of your Switch games physical.
According to Nintendo of America’s support site, you can upgrade your storage with any microSD, microSDHC, or microSDXC memory card. You’ll probably need to upgrade your Switch memory at some point so investing in one of the many cards isn’t such a bad idea, even bigger cards are relatively cheap."
