The Street Fighters bring some friends for more fun in the sun this July in UDON’s 2017 Swimsuit Special

Street Fighter’s beautiful female fighters (and maybe some of the men) are returning for more summertime pin-ups in 2017!



UDON Entertainment has officially announced the Street Fighter & Friends 2017 Swimsuit Special will be hitting stores this July–and in this issue, the Street Fighter characters will be joined by their friends (and enemies?) from the Darkstalkers, Rivals Schools, and Final Fight franchises! Last year’s featured a wide selection of excellent art from a varied group of contributing artists, and this year can be expected to be no different. From UDON Entertanment:



The lovely ladies of Street Fighter are back for more fun summer pin-ups, and this time they’ve brought along their fighting game friends from Darkstalkers, Rival Schools, and Final Fight! Chun-li, Cammy, and Laura are joined by Morrigan, Tiffany, Poison and many more fan-favorite fighters!



A cavalcade of fantastic artists bring these tantalizing pin-ups to life, as UDON regulars are joined by several newcomers. Interior artists include Andrea Cofrancesco, Brendon Tapper, Chad Walker, Chuck Pires, Dax Gordine, Elton Portilho, Genzoman, Gisèle Lagacé, Hanzo Steinbach, Jeffrey “Chamba” Cruz, John Crayton, Judy Jong, Kinuko, Martin Abel, Mike Luckas, Omar Dogan, Panzer, Rob “Robaato” Porter, Slugbox, and Xa.



The 2017 issue will feature three standard covers by artists Ecchi-Star (cover A), Aki Li (cover B), and Ryan Kinnaird (cover C). A blank sketch variant (cover D) will also be available, as well as a special retailer incentive cover (cover E) by Joe Vriens, featuring Morrigan paying homage to a classic 1960s horror image!

The Street Fighter & Friends 2017 Swimsuit Special is set to arrive in stores on July 27, 2017. Pick it up at a comics retailer near you, or digitally via ComiXology.

Street Fighter 2017 Swimsuit Special gets limited edition cover drawn by Super Sonico creator, here's more of Udon's latest covers and variants

If you're a fan of collecting your favorite fighting game characters in book form, you'll want to check this out. Udon's Street Fighter 2017 Swimsuit Special is a collection of art pieces featuring nearly two dozen popular artists depicting iconic characters from the series on Summer vacation, and the book is getting a special variant cover.

Tsuji Santa, creator of Super Sonico -- a popular Japanese character that spans across several different mediums, including manga and a television show -- has illustrated a limited edition cover for the collection that features Morrigan and Chun-Li. The variant is currently available for pre-order on Focus Attack and will run you $24.95 USD.

The limited edition will be premiering at Anime Expo this year, so if you're in Los Angeles and want to check it out in person be sure to attend the event at the LA Convention Center on July 1st - July 4th. This variant will be sold in very limited quantities, so be sure to scoop it up fast if you're interested.

Outside of the Swimsuit Special, the Udon crew has been hard at work on the Street Fighter vs. Darkstalkers comic book series. Currently on issue #2 going on #3, the team has been putting out several amazing covers for each issue.

Below we have included the original cover and each variant for issue #2, as well as the covers for the upcoming issue #3. Issue #2 is available now, and #3 is expected to drop on June 28th.

Heres My thoughts from eventhubs: Swimsuit Special Morrigan & Chun-Li looks beautiful this is going to pre order that cover. The Anakaris cover with Juri's SFV outfit without the extra leather is a pretty nice detail. The Last picture with girls pillow fight the best thing is seeing the fellow gals in pajama/sexy bikini and it looks better than this:

The day has come, it is time for more collection of Street Fighter Swimsuit Comics. However Street Fighter isn't the only franchise that is getting its swimsuit treatment, now we have other Capcom titles getting their sunshine ranging from Creatures of the Dark, and citizens of Aoharu City from various high school students. Various artist will express their vision of Capcom Fighters in the tropical beach to making some attractive characters from both the female & male species, which you can now pick up from local comic book stores or online for $3.95.

For this contest, you'll mainly just put in your own artwork. Plus the prizes you get is a comic which selected entrants will receive. The comics are 2018 Street Fighter Summer Sports Special feat. Chun-Li "Album" cover by Rob “Robaato” Porter, 2017 Street Fighter & Friends Swimsuit Special feat. Chun-Li & Morrigan by Tsuji Santa (check Jun 23, 2017 at 2:06am, which I own), and lastly Street Fighter Shadaloo Special #1 feat. Delta Red Cover by Warren Louw. One random winner will "A custom 11×17″ color sketch commission of your favorite Street Fighter character by UDON artist Edwin Huang (Street Fighter Unlimited, Street Fighter VS Darkstalkers)." The ones receiving the prizes are random from the ones that entered.

It would be assuming I plan on drawing along with it being in the comic itself.

I've used to draw, I haven't been doing that in quite sometime even when I got a Wacom tablet. I also don't know what I might do in the future.

Haha those Wacoms are nice but pricey. I had a portable Bosto and a large one but now I use a Fujitsu. It's like a Tablet and laptop together with a stand so I can draw, read, or work on it how I want.
