It always got me that people have this skewed perception of successful people or "rich" people just "got lucky" or inherited their wealth. People have this vision of being rich from seeing tv shows and movies and people driving fancy cars or living like a rockstar. The vast majority of rich people drive a simple car, and live in a simple house. They are business people. For every rich person you see living like this, there are countless others who don't. The Millionaire next door covers this. Most people who are rich are scrupulous over their money as they know if they spend it they will go broke. Look at all of the rich celebrities and athletes who spent like madmen and went broke over the years. I go by what happens in the real world and not in fantasy land.

Here I have that 88% of millionaires are self made. To the person who said this isn't rich, the vast majority of people deem it to be rich and you have the ability to earn a standard of living better than over 99% of the planet and the overwhelming majority of first world countries.
