This is a fist fight people. I don't wanna hear crap about some nonexistent Devil Incarnate version of Ryu or him using the Dark Dragon Blade or any other weapon, this is H2H combat.

Strength: Ryu's arguable more potent when it comes to raw power versus Hayabusa. Even though said ninja has demonstrated super human strength many times E.G.: Swing a 100 pund blade, and stringing a bow that is said to be useless to does of average strength are just a few examples. Impressive as they are, Ryu's strength is just more impressive to me. Being able to brace a 30 ton boulder :
Speed: Hayabusa's outclasses Ryu in this category, he's more manuverable as well. He's quite agile as well, being able to run on vertical surfaces or evade in closed spaces. So, it will be difficult to get an opening or even mount a proper defense against Ryu. Ryu is qucik himself, but it's not on par with hayabusa.
Long Range Capabilities: They are both versatile in this range, but hayabusa cannot consistently match Ryu in this range turn by turn. Unless his armed with shurikens and/or kunai's. His Ki based projctiles seem to be a last dicthed effort and have a significant start up time. Thoguh, he will still be able to use them, Ryu will not be in a disadvantage or intimidated by this assualt too much. Afterall, Denjin and Shinkuu Hadouken can certainlymatch Hayabusa's ki based projectiles. I believe Ryu can edge out hayabusa in this department. He's more consistent with his projectile notorioty versus hayabusa who seems to use said abilities off-handley. Also, they seem to be examples of his plot device no jutsu. This is off-topic, but Hayabusa's projectile skills (his ninpo) isn't on par with the likes of: Ryu, Ken, Iori, Kyo, Terry, and other fighting game protagonist.
Hand to hand: Hayabusa's moves are more centered around grappling: Inzuna Otoshi, Guillotine Throw, and more. They tend to work by overwhelming or cayching the opponent of gaurd and overwhelming them with a throw. These throws are a bit non conventional and in someways crude. But, what they lack in technical prowess, they make up for in damage and speed. His throws are powerful and quick, an Inzuna Otoshi on Ryu is pretty much game over. He has some notible striking moves, but they strike as strange. Again, Hayabusa attacks are based on Shock & Awe or flashy move sets versus technical prowess. Flying jump kicks, spinning round house Kicks, 360 degree's van dam style kicks, hand stands, etc. . . I'm not saying Ryu's moves are any different. He does have some pretty flashy moves as well. but, it isn't something that happens as often (Except in his special moves, which are the strongest arts in ansatsuken anyway). These moves are effective, don't get me wrong. But, they lack efficiency and are way too flashy. They tend to leave Hayabusa wide open, similiar to how Ryu is left wide open after he attacks E.G. Shoryuken. This is a problem, and Ryu will take advantage of it. Hayabusa is more defensive and tends to do hit & Run tactics versus straight out fights. His speed plays a big part to his defense, so, Ryu will have to be quick. Hayabusa tends to be rushed down easily, but is good at turning rush downs around. He's really hard to surpress because of the way he uses both his speed and manueverability. I think if things get really heated, he'll bust out a counter attack like he always does. If Ryu can successful telegraph it. He can shut him down, especially with his power:
See how sharp his sense are, hayabusa's is sharp too. but, I mean in this particular instance. So, he should be able to telegraph it.
Misc: Hayabusa can teleport as well and has an assortment of ninpo's. I covered how he could use them, except art of the ice storm and art of the inzuna which is close/mid-range range. These are problematic, because they are so fast. Ryu can either Tank said attacks (Art of the inzuna) or counter attack (Art of The ice -storm; kick or punch said ice blocks and position himself away from the artic winds.). Like I said before, many of his ninpo's are plot device powers brought out for the sake of plot. His teleportation is the only real consistent attack. So, please no arguments along the line of hyping said attacks up.
Conclusion: Ryu edge's him out in many catergories, but what it comes down is who can use their respective advantages skillful. Hayabusa is tricky, since he has atacks that can confuse or overwhelm his opponent with pure surprise. I'm sure he will give ryu some problems. But, Ryu is just too focused to be overwhelmed or confused for the entire fight. I say ryu wins 7/10

I know I said Hayabusa would win but I'm gonna renig.
I still don't c Hayabusa having the feats nesessary to match Ryu, pound 4 pound.
The only feats he has in H2h that out does Ryu are speed feats, and Ryu is no slow poke, so it's not like speed will be the deciding factor n the fight. Ryu edges him out n every category except speed, that's how I c it.

I have some more thoughts on this match, but I see what you mean. Ryu does edge him out in many catergory, but in the end it depends on how well he can use them. I haven't covered experience, but I felt it should be elaborated more on later. Furthermore, I gave Ryu the match on the assumption that this is a match not a death duel.

Galaxy destroying?!
Since when? he defeated a planet killer yeah, but that doesn't mean Hayabusa is capable of planet killing, and especially considering the TDS gave Haya that win in the first place...

I think that makes the two characters at least equal in that catagory.

I tried watching that on my media player, turns out the Divx I had installed is gone and isn't supported on 98 anymore. So I could only hear it. Not that it's a huge deal, there's so many things to install nowadays.

Its about 4 minutes 40 seconds into the video. The movie was so disappointing. the whole time I thought Akuma was going to be the main antagonist, but it turns out being someone I never heard of (and wish I never heard of).

I still enjoyed it, it could have been better though, but it still kicked butt. Have you seen generations? That one is all Akuma and Ryu (for the most part).

No, but I heard that there is only one fight scene in the whole movie. Well there is just one main one between Gouki and Ryu, the whole point of the movie is to say that he's Ryu's father.

That has it's pro's and cons though... I can't see Akuma getting laid without forcing himself upon someone... The guy is ugly as sin and is always training and fighting... not the best dating material

It always seemed like the really good fighters were always ugly, particularly bosses. Remember Eyedol from Killer Instinct?
