hmmm, gameplay wise I heard Cyber Akuma was cheaper, haven't fought him in ages though, but that whole game was cheesy. I might be inclined to give it to him if it isn't SSF2T S. Gouki. Storyline wise however I have to say that normal Gouki should be past that point of weakness and using the gear (I don't understand why they didn't say he was captured and surgically implanted with the gear enraging him) or something like that.

Hmm... Without Shin's later feats I can say Cyber wins this with consumate ease...
I thought that Cyber Gouki was a clone...
However, SF3 Shin and the CVS versions both will win after titanic clashes with the Cyber terror.

You know, technically all it takes to be cybernetic is to wear clothes. So really they're both cyber... sorry, just thought I'd throw that in there. And you and Joe were saying I didn't put useful content into my posts. Anyways he is powerful, I just doubt he is as powerful as current Gouki. I thought he used the tech to become more powerful, which killed my suspension of disbelief. |

I would also say Cyber Akuma.
Although as far as which one I'd rather fight in a game... I'd rather fight Shin Gouki.
Supposedly Shin Gouki would be weaker but in a game I have a much harder time taking him on.

My only quiff is that Cyber Akuma is a much older version, and even though Akuma isn't the one to use tech in the first place, the current Akuma is just stronger to me.
Isn't capcom using the Orochi Akuma model as the current, as well as everyone else?

That's interesting. If we refer to Shin Akuma from SFIII vs Cyber Akuma then that's a horse of a different color.
Normal Akuma sank a nuclear sub in SFIII so that's a pretty good showing.
I'm not certain who wins in that situation. I lean towards Shin Akuma though.

S Gouki in CFE was fighting Darkstalkers characters, he even showed up after Pyron, so gameplay isn't always the way to go in that instance.

I see what your saying, since current Gouki has developed some new powerful techniques: Kongo-Kokuretsuzan[9:20 into the vid] , Tenshou Kaireki Jin and not too mention Misogi. Furthermore, he's been stated by Capcom to have reached a level where he's capable of performing inhuman feats such as survivng in the depths of the ocean. But, do you think Tech can make up the difference in power and technique? |

For the most part I do think tech can make up for that in a comic book sense but not always.
I think that sense Gouki's powers are directly related to his fighting ability I would say that tech would count against him.

I dunno fellas, Apocs tech is WAY out there... it's been known to do some really crazy shite...
And I think Dope said it best, that tech enabled him to compete against... even surpass guys like Hulk, Shuma Gorath, and Blackheart...
