The main characters are from another world trying to retrieve an item called "The throne of Yord" on earth. It's a 5 episode ova, the story is not really fleshed out. But, I love the "feel" of it. Watched it 4 times already. |

Just one of those things that appeal to you? It has a very jrpg type feel to it. Plus I love the soundtrack. IT's one of those shows I've come to love after being an anime fan for so long. DBZ in particular became less and less enjoyable as it went on just like it's counterparts. I got tired of those types of shows. Only one I like now is Hunter X Hunter. Since it's well done, but it will probably be my last show of that genre. |

I remember when DBZ was cool to everyone, but it receives a lot of flack now. I watched Yu Yu Hakusho last year and actually liked it a lot due to character development. |

HXH can be over talkative and dialogue heavy despite being an action series. What did it in for you with DBZ? What ultimately did it in for me was I got tired of the genre. Specifically, the power level system where all goku had to do was do 100 push ups and he could destroy a planet 100 times bigger than the last one he could destroy. Or the badguy was 55,000 times more powerful than the last one and the last plot device transformation the hero got becomes useless, etc. It was stupid. |

I think Dragonball was fine and DBZ was solid early on, but then it just got out of hand. Super Sayian 1 and watching Gohan beat Cell was still entertaining, by the Buu saga it was just a real mess. You can tell the creator lost interest at that point. |
