Its like for the same reason you do not have Star Trek music playing in a Star Wars movie. Plus, the I did not like the animator for that movie. The characters didn't look anything like how they are supposed be, and they were just plain weird looking.

Mortal Kombat is an exception, EVERYTHING sounds good with it.

SF has many different looks, it was better than the other alpha movie. Those characters are more japanese looking, hence the altered looks.
