That would be bad. Instead of spending their money on the latest trends that'll eventually be a thing of the past, they should use it for buying other things that are actually helpful and appropriate.
It's already bad that teens are buying expensive items just because of the brand and labels, but it's bad when little kids are able to convince their parents to buy these items for them. Hecks, some of the kids are spoiled rotten and could get whatever they want just buy telling their mother and/or father to get it for them.

The funny part is I looked up the reviews and mine is actually considered better anyways by the users who have used it and the technicians despite the ipod fanboyism (so much for the "better" theory),. Now that Ipod touch had a bigger screen and all (which is why it cost more) but it didn't sound as good, but it was a 64 gb (i think) and the superior machine overall, but overpriced.
I actually am taking mine back to get the 8gb and to be done with it because I'm a tech whore. Fortunately it doesn't cost much more so it's no problem. It's 50% cheaper than an 8gb ipod with less features and worse sound... and no color media screen and is larger... why would I want it again? It also scratches up easier. Like I said though I didn't want to be the grinch and tell the young children that, because it would hurt their feelings, I talked about it to the older kids though about 12 and up.

You should tell that to the young children so you can save them from dealing with that problem. I rather someone tell me all the bad stuff about something expensive so I won't be tempted to buy it.

Yea I told them briefly, but they'd look like I told them santa didn't exist and then the parents would be mad at me. Now if they were boastful about it I'd definitely put them in their place.

Please, I wouldn't be afraid to tell the kids the truth about all that expensive stuff. It's already bad enough that parents are usually the ones who pressure the kids to follow the trends to be accepted, but I won't say anything else about that.
By the way, I'm listening to my SSBB CD.

True, I tell them in general you just don't want to seem like you're bitter with the young ones for something their parents bought them, I'm of course not talking about the sheep or the ones who parents told them to get it to fit in, that's stupid.

That usually happens when the parents want to make sure that their child have friends. The best way to make friends is to talk to people with similar interests, so following the current trends might be the easiest way to do that.

Or you have the parents who just want to show their kids off, or give their kids what they didn't have.

It's a sad thing when parents brag and/or show off their kids. I can understand if they need to tell someone else all the accomplishments that their kids made, but it's unnecessary to rub it in their faces.

I agree with that statement, and I'm glad my parents aren't like that.
Then again, I'm not a bad child.

Unfortunately, some of them are bad because of negative influences.
I'm listening to "Hanamaru Sensation" by Little Non right now. It's so catchy...

I luv that song. "I like SF2 but I really hate Zangief, I like Ken and Ryu but find it hard to beat Blanka." That song D-scribes me perfectly. Almost.
