You aren't lying, they are funny, but from what I've seen not *too* offensive. Have to strike a balance.

Well hey, I said it was the best, not that it was particularly "balanced". What do you mean by offensive anyway, jew jokes or something?

Well some comics think that by being offensive that they are good, but it takes good timing and talent to be funny. Off color jokes don't kill me, but they really aren't necessary either.

Okay, then what did you mean by this comment:
I really can't figure out where you're coming from when you say this and follow that up with "off colour comments don't kill you but they really aren't necessary". They seem to contradict each other from my interpretation.

I'm saying that off color humor can be funny here and then, but to use it all the time for shock value gets old, and unnecessary. I didn't say the comic was offensive David, the opposite actually.

I understood that. What I don't understand is what you mean by the whole 'have to strike a balance between offensive and humorous' thing.

I understood that. What I don't understand is what you mean by the whole 'have to strike a balance between offensive and humorous' thing. What I mean is not to rely on it and think it's funny. Because shock humor gets dull fast. Many funny things rely on stereotypes and whatnot to be humorous. But there's a difference between that and shock humor. You are familiar with shock humor aren't you?

Personally, I tend to find jokes that rely on stereotypes and the like to mostly be cheap, redundant and only appropriate among friends and such where creativity in jokes isn't really that important. Shock humor is just a greater evil if you will.
That's one of the reasons why this comic rules. There's no holier-than-thou tirade of enlightened Mother Theresa's ranting away or any of those cliches and plagiarisms, it's just original humor with a nice, morbid point of view.
