My DC collection is beginning to wane so I need to start collecting something.
Most of my collection is just Batman.
What are some things I should look into collecting in the DC universe?
What do you suggest?
Keep in mind that I don't by individual issues anymore. I only by them in Graphic Novel form.

That's probably the best way. I hear Green Lantern is really good right now.

GL?
Okay. That's a starting point. Should I start collecting at Rebirth or go beyond that and work my way up to the Rebirth saga?

I'll have to research that for you my friend. I read randomly and all at once, whatever is out at the store kind of reading.

Any other suggestions in the meanwhile?
Should I pick up 52 or leave it alone?

Ron can answer that better than I can, he reads and downloads everything.

Anything that has Superman Prime in it, cause interesting shit happens when SMP is involved.
You should prolly at least be familiar with the events of Countdown to Final Crisis, to prepare for Final Crisis, and get Final Crisis when it comes out, if it is near as good as the previous two Crisis', it should be good.

SMP...check.
Final Countdown...check
Final Crisis...check
Okay, now I'm prepped for what's ahead but what about what's already been past? What from DC's past is worth collecting?

Crisis on Infinite Earths and Infinite Crisis are two great limited series, I have picked up both at a local Borders.

And is it just me, or did at times Superman look like Beyonder in it? COINCIDENCE!? I think not!

Because they are the same person!!! It is the only logical explanation for why Superman can pull random powers out of his ass!
Anyway, Final Crisis 1 came out on May 28, heard it was good, I gotta pick it up.

I agree with all of V2D's selections of what to read in DC. Those are all the main stories, and if you find a character you like from one of those books- then look to adding that character's book to your collection.
But C is right, I download things I have no plan on even reading. Mostly for future reference if need be, I suppose.

Also, Sinestro Corps. War, it is really good, and has been described as "What World War Hulk should have been" lol.

It was alright, a bit too much PIS though IMO lol.
Matter of fact, you should pick up any Hulk comic as well for your collection. He's so strong he's a Marvel AND DC character!!!

Yea I guess I can see what you mean, that jobber aura was through the roof. It was when he beat Strange that I nearly tore the book. God I need to go pick up Final Crisis.
