I saw this site on the Comic Book Resources forum, and I decided to revive the forum for this site. The rules are simple: anyone who has made an appearance in Japanese (or Chinese) manga or an anime is eligible for entry. You must complete a profile and a set of moves for your character, as well as Special intros for said fighter. Endings are welcome and are recommended.
The final boss of this tournament is Akira (of the namesake anime and manga). However, if the character makes it to the final boss without losing a single round, then the final boss is Unsealed Belldandy. Upon defeating U. Belldandy (who is on a SNK Boss Syndrome/Capcom Final Boss power trip), the character’s true ending is revealed.
Since I started this thread, I will go first:
Ryu Hayabusa
Anime: Ninja Ryukenden (the anime was crap)
Stage: The Tower of Lahja – Apex. Designed by the mad architects of Chaos, with stairs leading to nowhere, Ryu fights on the top floor. Storm clouds are evident as Funky Dynamite (the area’s boss from Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos), along with the Evil Tengu, flies in the background. Watching the fight are a collection of characters from the Original Trilogy (Irene Lew, Bloody Malth, the Jaquio) and from Ryu’s most recent adventures (Kureha, Momiji, Murai and his father) are watching the battle in the background.
Fight Intro: Ryu jumps straight down. He is dressed in his classic Ryukenden costume, but unmasked.
Special Moves:
1. Dragon Sword Combos: Like Kyo’s Wild Bite combos, Ryu can perform a variety of deadly sword combinations with his Dragon Sword
2. Art of the Fire Wheel: Ryu's anti-air move. Ryu blasts three rings of fire skyward.
3. Izuna Drop: Ryu's trademark air throw. The superninja punts the opponent into the air, teleports after them and slams them to the ground, headfirst.
4. Art of the Ice Storm: Ryu fires shards of ice at the enemy, which encases them in a block of ice if connects.
5. Art of the Inazuma: Ryu unleashes a torrent of electricity at the opponent, which fries them to a crisp.
Super Moves:
1. Art of the Inferno: Ryu ultimate ninpo technique. He fires a massive ball of fire at the opponent, which does serious damage if it connects.
2. Storm of the Heavenly Dragon (verison 1): Ryu performs this move the same way as he does in the updated Ninja Gaiden series. He knocks the opponent into the air, which is followed by a series of rapid teleport/slashes with his Dragon Sword before slashing them to the ground.
3. Storm of the Heavenly Dragon (version 2) Ryu's Level 3 move. Ryu performs the move the same way as above, only this time, Ayane and Rachel are seen doing damage to the opponent, which concludes with Ryu, Ayane and Rachel slamming the opponent back to the ground.
Special Intros:
vs. Darth Vader: Vader is seen Force-Choking one of three people at random (Ashtar, Doku or Team Ninja boss Itagaki) before throwing their body off-screen and drawing his lightsaber.
Vs. Kyo Kusanagi: In a reference to the Chun Li-Mai special intro from CvSNK, Ryu is dressed in the tattered white gi of his Capcom counterpart before changing back into his Ryukenden uniform. Kyo is shocked, but quickly shakes it off before going into his stance.
vs. Ryu: The two Ryus face each other in a stare-down.
Ryu: You're the one who shares the same name as I, right?
Ryu H.: I've heard about you. Care for a match?
Ryu: (goes into his stance)
vs. Guy: Guy destroys several barrels with his Bushin Hurricane Kick while Ryu cleaves them with his sword.
Ryu: Your reputation proceeds you, master of the Bushin style.
Guy: As does yours. Ready?
Jill Valentine
Manga: Biohazard 3 - Last Escape
Stage: Raccoon City, St. Michael's Clock Tower Courtyard. Location of where Jill had her first decisive battle against the Nemesis. This time, several members of the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service and several of Raccoon's locals (Kevin Ryman, Alyssa Ashcroft, Ben Bertolucci) are watching this match. A chopper is flying in the air.
Intro: Jill is dressed in her S.T.A.R.S. uniform. She sheds it for her RE3 clothes (tubetop, skirt with shirt tied at the waist, boots)
Special Moves:
Jill fights a lot like her MvC2 version, but with one small difference.
Grenade Launcher: Jill fires either Flame or Ice Rounds. Can be done in the air.
Super Moves:
1. Firing Squad: Taking a page out of B.B. Hood's book, Jill - now armed with an assault rifle - calls in both Mikhail Victor and Carlos Oliveira and the trio unload on the poor opponent.
2. The Nemesis: Replacing the Tyrant as her super move, Jill hops back as the Nemesis appears in the same way as his predecessor. This time, Nemmy ensnares the opponent with the tentacles, slams them repeatedly, which is followed by Nemmy impaling them with the tentacle before slamming them to the ground.
3. Rocket Launcher: Replacing the bulky anti-tank launcher with the one used by Nemesis, Jill fires off a volley of anti-air rockets at the enemy.
Special Intros:
vs Chris Redfield: Back-to-back, Chris and Jill blast several Zombies, Zombie Dogs and Hunters.
vs. Seres Victoria: Jill hits the deck as Seres blasts several zombies with her oversized cannon.
vs. Revy: Jill and Revy have their guns drawn.
Revy: You're a cop?
Jill: Former cop. Let me pass, Two-Hands. I got no quarrel with you.
Revy: Forget it. I hate cops.
Chris Redfield
Manga: Resident Evil - Code Veronica
Stage: Raccoon City, Raccoon Police Department - Courtyard. Formerly an art museum, this gray building houses not only Raccoon City's finest, but is also the home of the Special Tactics and Rescue Service. Watching this fight is several RPD officers, including Marvin Branagh, Brian Irons and Robert Kendo, the gun dealer.
Intro: Chris cracks his knuckles and pops his neck, ala Paul Phoenix. "Let's rock and roll," he says before going into his stance. His sister Claire is there whenver he fights, cheering him on.
Special Moves:
1. Emergency Dodge A (Crimson Head): To match Jill's own move, Chris sidesteps in order to avoid the mutated version of the Zombie.
2. Emergency Dodge B (Hunter): Chris ducks in order to avoid the Hunter's lunging slash. The attack does good damage.
3. Tackle: Chris bumrushes the opponent and pounds their face with several punches.
4. Grenade Launcher: Unlike Jill, Chris uses Burst Rounds. He can fire it straight, at a vertical angle, or in midair.
Super Moves:
1. Alexia Ashford: Just like Jill's Nemesis summon, Chris calls the insane female Ashford. In her first mutated form, Alexia lambastes the opponent in ways that would put Kyo and Iori to shame.
2. Linear Launcher: Instead of a Rocket Launcher, Chris uses the same weapon used to kill Alexia in CV, only instead of plasma bursts, the Launcher unleashes a beam of energy.
3. One Dangerous Zombie: Chris' Level 3 move. Chris stuns the opponent and pushes them into the waiting arms of the zombified Forest Speyer, who is loaded down with grenades. Once Forest grabs them...BOOM.
Special Intros:
vs. Jill: see above
vs. Guile or Charlie Nash: Chris, being a former Air Force pilot, salutes the older men. Guile/Charlie salutes them back.
Ranma Saotome
Anime/Manga: Ranma 1/2
Stage: Tendou Home, Backyard. The walled backyard is where Ranma fights his opponents. Kasumi Tendou, her sister Nabiki are watching, as is Soun Tendou and Ranma's father, Genma Saotome (in his cursed form)
Note: Pressing any punch button chooses Ranma-kun (male form) while pressing any kick button chooses Ranma-chan/Onna-Ranma (female form)
Intro: Ranma stands in his cocky, confident pose. If the player chooses his female form, he is in the confident pose before getting splashed with water off-screen.
Special Moves:
1. Mokou Takabisha: Ranma fires off a blast of confident blue ki energy. Can be done in the air.
2. Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken: Ranma lashes out with both hands in rapid-fire succesion.
3. Umseiken: Ranma uses the 'silent thief' technique to appear behind the opponent.
Super Moves:
1. Hiryu Shouten Ha: Ranma spins around the opponent until he is at their back, then punches skyward, unleashing the twister of ki energy.
2. Hiryu Korin Dan: From the air, Ranma blasts the opponent with a tornado of scorching ki. Can only be done in the air.
3. Double Hiryu Shouten Ha: Ranma creates two twisters using both his hands, ala Joe Higashi's Double cyclone super move.
Special Intros:
vs. Akuma: Akuma comes down on the chimeralike form of Pantyhose Tarou by using the Misogi. Taro is KO'ed and punted off screen.
vs. Ryu: Ranma and Ryu perform a series of aerial combos on one another, then jump back.
vs Chun Li: Ranma does the Kachu Tenshin Amaguriken while Chun Li performs the Hykaretsu Kyaku. After a moment, the two leap back.
Chun Li: Not bad. Care for a little fisticuffs?
Ranma: You bet!
vs. Akane Tendou: Ranma dodges Akane’s mallet swing while making a face at her. She dumes but goes into her stance.
