Brief Synopsis – A Japanese super soldier deals with a complicated situation
Art – Although some of the characters look pretty fantastic for the most part I found this show to be lacking in any particular art department. Nothing to sing about.
Animation – Smooth and detailed. You don’t miss much of the action which is important to me.
Script – For a movie that could have focused very easily on simple merc run and gun tactics they complicated this movie a bit too much. It ends up taking a very predictable spacey turn. It’s not terrible mind you just kind of spacey.
Character – I imagine the manga (if there is one) goes into more detail on the characters but what characters there are in this movie practically shine. They’re great but I wanted more.
Music – Top notch movie quality music. For me that poses a problem. I’m looking for something special and unfortunately it didn’t grip me like I’d hoped.
Grip – Hopefully this movie grips you somewhat. If found it very easy to start and finish.
Like – The action was awesome and the plot really wasn’t bad despite what I said about it being spacey.
Dislikes – I want more.

Final Thoughts: Well I wasn’t moved by this movie but I cannot deny that it’s a top notch action movie and if you’re looking for something to satisfy that action junky inside you I would highly recommend this movie. Let’s face it, the first thing about anime that grabbed your attention was either the art or action of it so a part of you at least likes this stuff. Just watch it. It doesn’t hurt and it’s worth your while even if it didn’t get a 4.5 – 5.
