You know you're popular. Looking like you do... Congratulations!!! This thread is off topic by your first reply!! #clapping4hq# I'm going to have to say his comment was the first off topic one because it had nothing to do with the game, mine was a reply off of his off topic comment. Bad children! #bottom# All of you! Sinstrous for saying there's a reason to get the wii, Squid for starting to go off topic, and Garyuu for antagonizing me. Strongbad is funny.

so because someone started talking offtopic, and because it was realized and brought up, we were thrust away from that topic, onto my secondary question in the thread, and now we're off 3-4 topics, which one are we gonna follow now?

so because someone started talking offtopic, and because it was realized and brought up, we were thrust away from that topic, onto my secondary question in the thread, and now we're off 3-4 topics, which one are we gonna follow now? This is exactly my point, I was never bothered with your comment to start with squid . I don't care much if we go off topic some. If it becomes a serious problem for a significant amount of members then I'll address it, but otherwise complaining about something as petty as being slightly off topic when we all have done it before just makes people frustrated and brings it more off topic. It's almost as pointless, hypocritical, and counterproductive as someone saying, "Will you stop all of that fuc*ing cussing?!" Because you just did what you accused someone else of doing. It's like a classroom, I don't mind the goofing off here and there as long as it doesn't upset most of the people or deteriorate the whole point. If I have to start cracking down with silly rules in a forum this small it'll only take away from it and drive people away more than it will help. And if we are going to request a thread be brought back on topic, let's do it by asking nicely "Can we try to keep this relatively on topic?" Or something like that instead of replying with sarcasm. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Let this be the last of this discussion, seriously. And everybody try (including me) to be reasonably on topic but have fun as well. So when did you get into Homestar Runner, much less play its game?

So when did you get into Homestar Runner, much less play its game? We should leave it to TC to decide that kind of thing. Just my humble opinion. Being off topic is not a bad thing a lot of the time. But for people who are interested in reading about a topic titled 'X,' I'm sure they'd be a little disappointed to find that this thread is more of a personal conversation than an interesting discussion about X. But more importantly, when you're a TC, it can be very irritating to start a thread, leave it running for a little while, and come back only to find that a few people out of many have even commented on the topic. So, while I have no problem with being off topic, mainly when a thread's been worn out or something, I think authority should go to the topic creator. Fighting off topic conversation is a very uphill battle on this forum, but I would appreciate if it was regulated at least a little. And I'm sure there are others who agree. anyway, Stong Bad's game isn't actually out yet is it? does anyone know how many points it costs/will cost?

I have low expectations for this game. It will probably be like all of the other games that are based off of movies/series, complete trash.

And I'm sure there are others who agree. anyway, Stong Bad's game isn't actually out yet is it? does anyone know how many points it costs/will cost? Thread creator, the person moderating, and ultimately me if it gets that bad. Which it shouldn't. I've noticed no complaining except from the same people anyways and some of it seems like passive aggressive attack than anything. This forum is hardly THAT off topic, there is far worse just about anywhere else. Forums who are too strict over things so minor really just become not fun, I'm sure everyone agrees on that. But the bottom line is, complaining about something and making it off topic is as bad as making it off topic, and I know the people who make the allegations have done it themselves numerous times. I see it both ways. And like I said, if we need to complain, all we should say is, "Can we try to keep this on topic?" Anything sarcastic or condescending (or mutual backpatting) just makes it worse, and it's not like it was a flame war or anything serious. I haven't had severe discipline problems here (except for Sarah) and it should stay that way since we are all good people. I mean we can make it stricter, but it would be less fun, and that isn't necessary for a place so small so like I said, everyone make a conscious effort to be on topic, and to also be considerate with our complaints and keep them minimal. And important. The game will likely blow like the ATHF game did, they usually do.

Glad to see you modified the post. If you didn't, it would have been off topic... again.
The game just looks so boring. It might be a little funny, but that won't make it good.

Glad to see you modified the post. If you didn't, it would have been off topic... again. Da Masta and I both did, but of course you weren't going to mention that part. I generally edit to add a bit or piece here and there, I'm obsessive with what I write like that. That action is probably better than leaving it there while accusing someone of doing it. The game just looks so boring. It might be a little funny, but that won't make it good. These types of games are meant to make money off of the character's popularity and nothing else.

I find it unfortunate, and probably a bit hasty that this mild disagreement led to another person leaving temporarily or permenantly. This is why I generally like to just end these quickly and hold my tongue about many things. This person is a good member and I have no problem against him whatsoever, but if he decides this is the best move for him I won't stop him or dissuade him.
I'm leaving everything on here for all to see for themselves, but I'm locking it to prevent heated arguments on this thread. Any (polite) questions or comments can be directed at me via pm as I'm sure there may be one or two.
