As being reported everywhere, on Yahoo Marvel Studios has stated that they are currently uncertain if TIH will get a sequel. I think it's done really well as far as both the box office & reviews go, so I think we need a sequel. It should surpass the box office of Hulk by next week.

If I remember that on wasn't grand, so I hope it exceeds that!

...No I am pretty sure he meant the new Hulk lol.
The new Hulk was far greater than the 2003 version despite the actual Hulk being weaker.
The sequel's villain would likely be The Leader.

That's not what's important....lol...
You guys should at least see this movie once more so we can be sure of a sequel. I'm confident we'll get one but still, TIH needs all the help it can get to get past $245 million. Marvel Studios will definitely be inclined to do a sequel if their movie makes over $100 million more than what it cost to make it.

I read that wrong, I didn't know he was talking about a sequel. But I can't really predict how well that goes. lol

Man, people need to go see TIH, it needs a sequel. I suppose I could download it again, but I am not sure how that would help Marvel.

It doesn't look good, in my opinion. (The chance for a sequel not the movie that is.)
The movie is still in the red for Marvel. They will have to hope to try and get their money back on DVD, games and figures.
I do hope for another Hulk movie, but I can understand Marvel's thinking.

The movie has already made it's money back & from what I can tell is doing pretty well in merchandising, so I'm sure we'll get some sort of sequel after the Avengers movie is put out.

The 2003 movie doesn't even have anything to do with this movie.

I somewhat did, but it could've been better. This movie was a true Hulk movie & was so much better.

I am not sure what numbers you are looking at, but the Hulk movie still has quite a ways to go to make its money back from the box office. The 2003 movie doesn't even have anything to do with this movie. Huh? So you enjoyed the 2003 version then? It had some good moments, but failed overall.

It took $150 million to make the new Hulk movie, and it's made over $227 million worldwide. It's made it's budget back, especially if you include merchandising such as toys, video games, posters, etc.

It took $150 million to make the new Hulk movie, and it's made over $227 million worldwide. It's made it's budget back, especially if you include merchandising such as toys, video games, posters, etc. That would be fine if Marvel got to keep the movie gross, and not have to pay anyone. The movie did cost $150 million to make, and it did gross more than $227 million worldwide. (Some numbers have it as high as $240 million) BUT... The movie gross gets split up. The cinemas get roughly a 40% cut, and the distributor another 15%. Uncle Sam wants his money as well, so he gets 5% (being gracious there). 40 + 15 + 5= 60. That is 60% of the gross that Marvel will never see. (The old saying is that a movie needs to gross twice what the budget cost for the movie company to break even) SO We will give Hulk the higher figure of $240 million. $240mil X 60%= $144 mil. That is how much of the gross that ISNT Marvels. $240 mil -$144 mil= $96 million. $96 million is a far cry from the $150 million needed to just break even. And that doesn't even figure in the advertising for the movie. Don't worry, we see this all the time on IMDB and it is probably on the other movie forums as well. Those sites post the financial numbers, but never actually explain what they mean.
