I wrote this a couple of years ago.
Vivian and Katie were best friends. They always helped each other in their time of need. They never got into a serious argument until a late Tuesday night. Katie was minding her business when she received a phone call. It was her best friend Vivian. She needed some help with her math homework. After they finished the math homework, Vivian asked Katie what her feelings were towards a guy named Marcus. Marcus was a friend to both Vivian and Katie, but Katie knew him three years longer than Vivian did. Katie never thought about her feelings towards Marcus. After remembering all of the fun and good times she had with Marcus over the years, she came to the conclusion that she liked him.
Unexpectedly, Vivian said Katie couldn’t like him because she (Vivian) liked him. Katie was startled by Vivian’s statement. Then, Vivian told Katie that she was going to hook up with him anyway since they’ve been playing around over the past few days. Her friend, Mitchell, told her that Marcus said he would hook up with her if she asked. Then, Katie asked Vivian why she would ask for her feelings towards Marcus when she (Vivian) was going to hook up with him the next day. Vivian answered by saying she never viewed Katie as someone who can fall in love with someone and wanted to have some fun with her. Katie was surprised at Vivian’s answer, and hung up the phone. She couldn’t believe her best friend would do that to her.
The next day at school, Katie didn’t feel like talking to anybody. Throughout the day, she witnessed the hugging and kissing of Marcus and Vivian directly in front of her. Katie knows that Vivian is doing all of that in front of her on purpose just to make her mad. Katie learned that Vivian wasn’t a good friend. Vivian was just using Katie to increase her chances at getting with Marcus. Katie knows now that she has to choose her friends wisely.

You should continue the story, but change the name of the dude. Marcus makes me think of that guy that was on KMC sending naked pics of himself to underage kids.

Dang, I forgot all about him.
Anyway, I might add on to the story when I feel like it.

Markus or Marcus? I just wanted to make sure I was talking about the same person. He must of thought he was really sexy.

Markus Corvinus was a sock account on KMC, and his name is "Joker" on this forum.
Anyway, none of the characters in the story were named after somebody. I just used random names that came to my mind.

Woah wait what, he's on here!?! Glad I demodded him then...
Yea I remember he's only 14, not as bad but still. I was under the impression he changed his age or something so I decided to look into it.
Not to derail this too much, but how was he found out?

Faking ages seems to be the trend among kids nowadays. I think they do it so they could be treated "more like an adult" on Internet sites. Seriously, I bet there are a bunch of little kids who fake their age on MySpace, Facebook, and/or other popular social sites.
Well, his "Markus Corvinus" account got banned since Steverules reported him for admitting to having other sock accounts from the past (His first account was UltimateHulk22). Magic said that Markus would send weird kind of pictures and videos to other people, Fortunately, I didn't see any of them, so you'll have to ask Magic for more information on that.

Well, he was 11 when he first registered on KMC, so he was already underaged. What's worse is that he had a gutter mouth and a bad habit of sending offensive PMs to people. Some of them were even death threats.
By the way, what happened to him? I haven't seen him around here for a while..

He hasnt been on here in a while. The other day someone made an acct with the name of Da Joker again on KMC. He made a few spam threads and was banned relatively quickly. Not sure if it was him though.

I didn't name anybody lolz. I just wish the ones who here would have posted. You helped with the coding and everything. Honestly you can tell who is good mod material and who isn't. Psyquis is excellent provided he wasn't so busy. Guys who beg for a position right when they come generally aren't. Much like anything else.

I agree. People should be promoted because of what they have done, not on what they say they might do.

I agree. People should be promoted because of what they have done, not on what they say they might do. I put that on me for wanting to keep the place up. In the peak of it's time I did it probably once or twice, to keep the posts up. But they all filter out, or want to be a part of something big (not naming names because some might be friends with them). It's the ones that ask "what can *I* do to help make the place I go to better" instead of "can you do this, this, and that" are much better material.

The same goes for similar scenarios in reality. He hasnt been on here in a while. The other day someone made an acct with the name of Da Joker again on KMC. He made a few spam threads and was banned relatively quickly. Not sure if it was him though. I wouldn't be surprised if it was really him. In fact, he might still be there right now.

Ah well that's all him then, he won't be mod here. I demote people who don't show up. Kinda bad for staff not to post, especially when I know they have free time. Exceptions are made for those who are busy. I'm not too strict on it generally, but some will want a promotion then go somewhere else, or not show which makes me do what little job they never did.

Yeah, Markus had tons of free time since he kept socking at KMC. Anyone who keeps doing that should really get a life and do something productive. That goes for all the people who like to make multiple accounts on an Internet forum after being banned several times.
Well, most people want to become a mod just so they could say "I am/was a mod on an Internet forum" to their friends and other people. They have no intentions of during their mod duties and/or depend on other mods to do their duties for them. I'm sure there are Internet forums in which people who beg to have a mod positions get them eventually, while other Internet forums would let you become a mod just by sucking up alot. It would be better to become a mod the right way, which is by your qualifications and attitude.

People are like that though, and it isn't even about friends. Sometimes having friends as staff isn't bad if you know how reliable and fair they are. Don't get friends who do the same thing guys like him do though. That's where problems start.

Well, at least we don't have to worry about it anymore since he may have lost interest in this forum.
Also, I just remembered that he sent me three PMs on this forum during the "discussion" we had in the fitness thread. Since I, along with a bunch of other people, had previous experiences with his habit of sending threatening PMs, I never read them. Judging by the title of the PMs, I doubt they're friendly.

Now that I think about it, I did a favor for another member a while back and I had to get onto an account and he sent someone a threatening pm about them saying something about how bad the Batman movie was. I'm glad my place doesn't keep them for long. I know judge and whirly (who actually was a good friend of mine) came by, judge said something about the feelings of KMC on here and criticized it, but he never bombed the hell out of the forum like he did some of the other smaller ones.

To be honest, I'm sure that most of the "famous" socks and/or trolls of KMC are pretty good guys if you get to know them. I remember one of my friends on KMC said that he used to be friends with the Judge, and he was a pretty good guy. The same could be said for a person named "InnerRise". I don't know if you knew him or not, but he was a great guy once you got to know him. Unfortunately, most people didn't because they were too busy trying to make him the center of attention since he liked to put a Japanese phrase in all of posts. He would always have to defend himself since people would always gang up on him in almost every thread in which he expressed his opinions about something. He got permabanned for doing something that everyone else does, which is expressing their interest in an upcoming music album, but the global mods thought he was doing that just to be annoying. Fortunately, I still talk to him on Yahoo.

Fortunately, I still talk to him on Yahoo. He might have been cool in personal conversation but he used to annoy the hell out of a lot of people. I remember watching people post and he'd come behind them insulting them and saying "Is it comprehensible". "Ana na " whatever he said, he did it to me once to, but I shut him up. But he probably shouldn't have been perm-banned. It's dumb because the mods play favorites and won't ban people who have been trouble for ages.

I admit that he had a smart mouth and was clever with his insults, but he was just doing what you said you did in that other thread. He was mostly just dishing out what other people were doing to him since they always brought him out for having that Japanese phrase in all of his posts. It was pretty obvious that some of the mods didn't like him, but I won't go there...
I agree that he shouldn't have been permaban, but you can't blame some of the mods for being biased. They're human, so that automatically makes them disqualified for the title of "Perfect Moderator". There are some people who are much worse than him, but they're still there because they're either friends with the moderators or because they sucked up to them to the point where they could get away with almost anything.

Oh I don't think he should have been permbanned I know he got into some fights though. Permbanned is pushing it when much more members get away with less. I had so many stupid "final" warnings (which never got processed) by some idiot fanboy who got mad and probably socked their accounts. I was pulling the most reports in a day at one time, up to a hundred. Not to mention Cresh was testing his theory of how mods respond to reports, they eventually just ignored him lol. They wouldn't even get on anybody else. They just ignored them and warned me, even if they didn't start it. Yet there are very stupid people who cuss someone out regularly and have for years and nobody cares. It's an outside looking in thing.

Well, I'm not the only person who thinks his permaban was unfair. I know about 7 other people who thought his permaban was uncalled for, and some of them weren't even friends with him. I guess people who are disliked by mods have a much better chance of getting banned than the people who're friends with them, which is undeniably true.
I'm not sure if I ever received a warning since I don't get into trouble that much. I know I dealt with some bothersome people in the past, but I'm completely clueless if I have an official warning or not. Honestly, each poster should be able to check how many warnings they have without the need to ask a moderator. A person should be able to click a private area in their profile and check all of their past bans and warnings, but I don't think that'll ever happen.
My guess is because they only warn the person/people who are causing the most trouble in a conflict. The people who tease "Member A" won't get warned, but "Member A's" response to getting tease may get him warned since it might include insults and profanity. It doesn't matter who started the conflicts, but it's the person/people who retaliates and/or defends himself that'll get in trouble, which isn't fair. I used to always deal with people who'll say all kinds of mean/nasty things and over-react frequently, but nothing happens to them when I reported them.

I'd hate to know how chaotic and rebellious some of the KMC members were before the ban notes were implemented. Without knowing how a person got banned, there would be all kinds of controversy and drama.
I really don't trust the whole "warning via PM" thing. If someone gets permabanned, how are the other posters suppose to know if the member actually "received several warnings before getting banned" if the warnings were sent via PM? We'd have to take the mod's word for it, but anything could've been twisted...
