Well, I have no problem with being patient when playing video games. I've played a bunch of puzzle games before, and some of them require patience and strategy.

Speaking of Battletoads I've recently been playing "ultimate team" crossover. You know the one with the Double Dragons and I have to say that I have a new found respect for Battletoads game engine. Most Beat em' ups I've played revolve around Combo's and/or items. BT games seem to revolve around use of more strats. I had to throw everything I've learned from previous beat em' ups out just to play.

Yeah, I liked the fact that it was different. It mean't I had to learn something new.

Honestly, there needs to be another Battletoads game, preferably an enhanced remake of Super Battletoads, but with less gore and other stuff.
Dang, I forgot all about this game. I might have to find a way to play it.

Are you used to SOR and Final Fight type games? Pretty much and most beat em' ups I play follow that traditional flavor.

No, I haven't. . . How is it like? Considered the hardest game ever, look it up. It is a great game though.

Considered the hardest game ever, look it up. It is a great game though. Nope. Silver Surfer for NES. Look it up. ;D I've done more than looked it up, I've beaten it. And from my experience I died a lot more from Battletoads. SS was harder until you got the upgrades, then everything died really fast. Including bosses, which were the easiest part of the game. When I played through once using savestates I died on SS about 40-50 times, not much for that type of game, especially since I didn't have it memorized. Battletoads on NES literally killed me over 1,000 times memorizing all of that stuff. With savestates (games like these are only really beatable when memorized, so I memorized the levels first). Anybody could beat SS with savestates, because you are just shooting stuff, Battletoads is still unbeatable to most people with savestates or game genie due to the fact if you save at the wrong time (on a lot of the racing levels), you have screwed yourself. That is why these games tend to be able to be beaten "without dying", but that is eventually going to happen when you have to memorize everything. I've beaten Battletoads without dying several times and I haven't played it in a while. Battletoads is a better game than SS, but I didn't think SS was as bad as people made it out to be. The two games are considered the hardest by different people, Battletoads is more widely recognized though. But anybody can make a game with 1hit kills, ever tried "I Wanna Be The Guy"? I hit kills throughout. Most gamers suck though especially these days, so I try to ignore their outtake on difficulty. I don't really play games much anymore (I only started up a bit since my niece and nephew are here) and they aren't that bad. You can turn off gore, it wasn't really a kids game, hence the difficulty. I know, but the developers could still tone it down a bit. I didn't mind it myself, but if they give you the option then that should take care of it. It was funny type violence to me.

I actually got to play Super Battletoads a few months ago and one of my friends' "you-know-what". I gave up on the last level because it was frustrating.

My next great adventure =P How far are you now on the original? Let me know if you need any pointers. I may have to dust off the game and play it again.

Still floating around stage 9. I wanna beat it tonight, but this damn controller issue is bugging me. Now that I've got so far in it it would be a bummer to go back to using the keyboard

I did that to the first one. after the second one killed me a few times I let it come out jumped over and did the same same to the third. So much easier xD

You only have to get the third to turn, then jump over him too.
