Goin for Obama. Ron Paul's okay, too. Just somethin about that dude seems "off". Reminds me of my boss.
Honestly tho, I don't wanna vote, but like my old professor said, if you don't vote, you have no right to complain. Just wish Obeezy wasn't so bitch-made most of the time. Then again, it doesn't really matter. The country will be how ever it will be, this election, like all the others is just a puppet show.

Obama is a socialist and has done nothing. I'd go for Paul. Obama sounded ok four years ago, but he himself said he was the president of the many at the expense of the few. Also, Ron Paul has been legit for 3 decades, long before many of us were born.

Once I see the word "socialist", I stop readin. I'm just gonna be honest. It's true though. He explicitly said said capitalism doesn't work and he's the president of the many at the expense of the few. He wants to tax people who have businesses more, while giving handouts to people who didn't earn them. He has taken out more money than any president in history and he keeps subsidizing things with the government he can't afford. Pretty socialist to me. Obama is lousy and hasn't done anything he promised, nothing significant anyways. This is from a person who though the seemed decent a few years back. Poorer people and black people tend to love him because they want handouts. The thing is we can't afford it. He's definitely socialist, the government has gotten larger and more powerful than it was ever intended, we have less freedoms, the government can throw you in jail with no trial and they even go to other countries arresting people over a website?

I myself am black, and yes black people and poor people love him. Because they get something for free. Sure there are exceptions like myself (when it comes to being black), but why bother? Though less black people are backing him this time around. Btw, saying I generalize everything is a generalization. Obama is a joke, it's just the truth. I tell it like it is. My mindset is to have a successful country with freedom like we were meant to have, not have the socialist "utopia" that he wants.

That's the real truth that's too heavy to carry for everyone in the world today.

We're talking about a country with hundreds of millions of people, generalizations will have to be made. Just like political parties. People don't generally (there's that word again) agree with *everything* a politician says or a party believes, but they like most of it. So they lump then together in certain groups. People generalize and discriminate all of the time, life would be way more difficult if you didn't.

Well I don't agree on makin generalizations about serious stuff. Everyone's in the game for different reasons, when you ask me. I'll say "some" or "a few", but not everyone. I can agree with that, however, clearly there is a time and place to make general statements about an entire group of people. Anyone who comes across this thread might get the wrong idea at any point about any of us. I always speak with an open mind and be careful about the statements I make, cuz I'm cool. I don't want anybody to be like, he's this or that.

Anyone who comes across reads this thread might get the wrong idea at any point about any of us. I always speak with an open mind and be careful about the statements I make, cuz I'm cool. But it's a fact when the generalization is generally true. That's the difference. Saying for instance that certain demographics are in prison more or take welfare is a fact, it's also a generalization but it's also generally true. Saying men make the most income in most households is a generalization, but that's fine because it's generally true. I'm not talking about personal relationships. I'm talking about a large demographic of people so it's only convenient. It's categorically impossible to list every exception. Saying people are fat because they eat too much is a generalization. That's generally true. Yes there are exceptions to everything, the exception proves the rule. People are fat the vast majority of time because they over eat just like people are generally in debt because they overspend. It's just a simple fact. Yes there are people who get into a bad accident or have expensive surgery or something like that, but generally people spend to damn much. I'm very open minded, way open minded than most, it's why I like creating things and stepping out of the box. But we are talking about facts here, things that can be proven by numbers and statistics. Being open minded to the extreme makes discussions impossible. Nobody would ever have a concrete point.

Screw the labels, socialist or capitalist or libertarian. Politicians are all just different sides of the same coin. I'm not saying they cannot make a difference, because any citizen in America can point to stupid, or even unconstitutional laws. I'm saying they have only one agenda, and that is to stay in office, and thus have power. They do NOT want to solve the problems of this country, because that would mean they're not needed anymore.
Now, I'll admit this is my own, carefully considered, opinion. America is headed for some very serious adjustment of economic and social realities. It may be accompanied by violence, or it might not, I just do not know. Politicians fear only one thing, and that is the awakening of Americas' consciousness in regards to how bad things actually are. Obama is not really any worse or any better than Ron Paul, or any of the other Republican candidates. It's just the same coin, but turned over so that a different face is showing. I'll probably vote for Paul, only because his stance on certain issues is closer to my own, but I'm in no way under any illusions that Paul is going to solve any of the problems now facing America.
Sooner or later, as the survivalists and 'preppers' say, The Shit Will Hit The Fan (SHTF), or The End Of The World As We Know It (TEOTWAWKI) will hit. This isn't an economic collapse of currency, but more like a breakdown of society itself. It may take years, or it may take months, but most anyone with an ounce of brains knows that we cannot keep printing currency and raising the federal debt ceiling forever. Eventually investors will realize that Facebook does NOT have 50 or 100 billions of dollars in assets. If half the advertisers on Facebook stopped advertising, Facebook would file Chapter 11 in weeks. Sure, I sound like some sort of apocalyptic bullshitter, but the fact is, so do half the brokers on Wall Street, and a couple million regular citizens who are worried about the future. And most of those people also agree that we cannot change the course of the American ship enough to prevent such an outcome. We might reduce the impact, or spread the damage across several years, but that would entail some very hard sacrifices on the part of all Americans, that most won't agree to. So, all anyone can do is prepare for it somewhat. I don't personally subscribe to the theories that Dec 21, 2012 will be the End... but I would not be surprised to see many people claim it was the beginning of the End... and they'll make that claim sometime in the 2020s.

Well yea, in terms of politicians labels aren't as important since they are almost all the same. But since I'm categorizing beliefs I use those terms. I see Ron Paul as our best bet, but I can't say he'll be magic. He's the only one who has been consistent and told the truth about what we need to do and that there will pain, like a drug addict being taken off of drugs. This is why I plan on getting out of here soon. I don't know if the world will *end*, but it will be a bunch of dark times. Women and losers and whomever who have had a free ride will be getting a dose of reality and things will get ugly. The people who have the brains are slowly brain draining the country and going elsewhere.

Once I see the word "socialist", I stop readin. I'm just gonna be honest. He has taken out more money than any president in history and he keeps subsidizing things with the government he can't afford. Pretty socialist to me. Was'nt some of that money going towards for trying to save your countries economy?.........i'm pretty sure the financial crisis is still not over with what is happening in europe.

Then again, it doesn't really matter. The country will be how ever it will be, this election, like all the others is just a puppet show. This statement makes me believe you're playing Devil's Advocate with these issues. And I agree, that's why I care very little for politics. At the end of the day none of it matters in the least. Republican, democrat, independent, and God knows what else is all just an elaborate front by the group of billionaires and CEOs with all the same agenda. It doesn't matter who wins an election, the mission is the same. Don't be fooled into thinking that any of these presidents, from here to the past, and well into the future are any better than the other. They're all being told what to do. Rats in a maze, most Americans are. You'll stop being a rat when you realize that you have to change your life and help others do the same. No president or party can truly help you with that. People have stop listening to partisan wackos and make their own decisions.

All presidents are only following a plan put forth for them. If a president did do better, it's just due to coinsidence at some point in time.
