www.eventhubs.com/news/2014/may/28/mysterious-mortal-kombat-teaser-poster-hits-web-new-mk-title-horizon/"Updated: Ed Boon has updated his personal Twitter account with the same phrase, "Who's next?" shown in the poster, and also the new MK logo as well.
At this point, a new Mortal Kombat announcement is considered eminent on June 2nd, but the same cannot be said for Injustice: Gods Among Us 2. I don't suppose there's anything I can do to make you think we still MIGHT be announcing Injustice 2 in #five days is there.....?
— Ed Boon (@noobde) May 29, 2014 Earlier today, a poster surfaced over on the Xbox One sub-Reddit that shows a heavily battered spinal cord with the re-stylized Mortal Kombat dragon logo at the bottom. Hit the jump to check it out."

www.eventhubs.com/news/2014/jun/01/mortal-kombat-x-pc-dvd-ps3-ps4-xbox-360-and-xbox-one-product-listings-surface-amazon-uk-slated-2015-release/"Product listings for Mortal Kombat X have surfaced on Amazon UK, eagle-eyed Twitter user lifelower noticed earlier today.
According to the early product listings, Mortal Kombat X is said to be coming out on PC (DVD), PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game is also apparently due to be released sometime in 2015.

Whether or not the listings are true, we'll know at around 6AM PDT tomorrow, or about 19 hours from the time this post was published.
That's when series creator Ed Boon is slated to unveil what this mysterious announce he's been teasing about for the past couple of weeks actually is.

Get Hyped! Can't wait man! I wanna see a trailer myself. And here we go: www.eventhubs.com/news/2014/jun/02/mortal-kombat-x-officially-announced/"Ed Boon announced the 10th installment of Mortal Kombat today, saying the game is officially titled Mortal Kombat X.
NetherRealm Studios also released the announcement trailer for the game which shows Sub-Zero and Scorpion fighting, using x-ray attacks through part of the bout, and their environment to attack each other, then ending with one of the series' signature fatalities.
A release year was confirmed for 2015. Although no platforms were announced at this time, if the Amazon UK listing holds up, it will be available on PC (DVD), PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
Here are a few high resolution images from the video released today."

So, intractables confirmed since they're in the trailer. Yea, they've been doing those for a long time and it makes them different. They wouldn't drop that in this version IMO.

I'm confused though. I've heard some people argue this was gameplay and pre rendered scene. But, it seems like a full pre render.

I see mainly SF fanboys arguing against it at least on Eventhubs lol. They're intimidated by the fact that MK is getting a new sequel so soon while crapcom is just making another version of SF$ I mean SF4 lol. What did you think of the trailer? IMO, it's one of the best MK trailers by far. Reminds me of SF4 first trailer: With the two titular characters fighting.

They're trying to say that MK is just too scrubby. They should be happy that yet another SF4 is coming out... today actually. The trailer had some nice music in it. Pretty cool.

Can't wait for the next SF4 after this one lol. Well, yeah MK has always been for casuals, but it seems to be trying to make things for hardcore crowd too I guess.
I'm interested if this trailer had actually gameplay, though.

I'm interested if this trailer had actually gameplay, though. I think that they are trying to make it deeper. Many SF fanboys were complaining about the block button. I wonder how they'll go with that. I'm almost certain they'll have a balance update with Ultra, but we'll see.

The complaints are more about it being unlike street fighter. Block button apparently ruins jump over cross up mind games. But, what SF fanboys don't realize is block button is necessary because some characters with instant teleports would be broken. Look what happened when Scorpion was in Injustice? That game had back to block like SF and he was near unbeatable all due too being able to cross you up instantaneously with his teleport. So, yeah.

I see mainly SF fanboys arguing against it at least on Eventhubs lol. I've been reading the comments at Eventhubs regarding MKX topics. So far there's been alot of praise and hype combined with scrutiny for things like the trailer music and the animations. The announcement trailer comments mostly focused on it being in a crossover with Street Fighter. Since it's called MK X [like Street Fighter X Tekken]. Even the negative ones showed some interest: "I HATE the MK series, but this looks good even to me!
Also, i like how they only spent a week or 2 teasing it, then showed something substantial in the trailer. It's good to show the goods in a timely manner. Good stuff!"It's being received better than I expected.

I think people are more happy about it after 50 versions of SF4. lol. Yeah, even SF fanboys are getting tired. That's what happens when you slip. Your competition starts to get a foothold. I remember when Eventhubs hated MK back then, now just two games later look what's happening.

I remember when Eventhubs hated MK back then, now just two games later look what's happening. Eventhubs has been giving a lot more attention to other fighters now, which is also nice. Plus it's a new game. If a new SF was out, they'd be in a frenzy. Right now they just complain and buy lol.

Looks like Sonya got got caged. B)
Also, I love how they've brought back styles just like I said. But, you have to choose one before the match. Nice.
Edit: I like the whole MK timeskip thing with a new generation of fighters. Instead of bringing in fan favorites, they added a new generation of fighters. Something Capcom did back in SF3 when they didn't cave in to fan demand. This game is gonna be awesome.

They also lost a lot of sales by not including the old favorites (which is why SF4 has everyone). Timeskips can be a hit or miss IMO. They're great when they work and bad when they don't. It is interesting to me though.

It bombed in the west [In japan it outlasted every other late 90's fighter and is still played in arcades today] Because they wanted fan favorites. I think time skips in games are good, keeps things fresh. MK has tried this since MK4, granted it hasn't worked out but it seems they haven't given up.
