I mean it hurts after a certain point. www.gamefaqs.com/boards/722788-ultra-street-fighter-iv/69859669I love the logic that an attacker should have to hit 1 frame links constantly with no error but you should be able to mash on the defensive end. No wonder the community is garbage. So much to quote but I just don't know where to start.

Should we merge this with my angry SF4 rant thread to avoid any more needless ranting?
Also, yeah. I prefer being able to block ONLY when you hold back. If you're not holding back, you're not committed to blocking, so you don't deserve to block incoming attacks.
People say that frame traps in SF4 are really good and important to the game, but they're only so important because of how easy it to reversal and how much you get rewarded for hitting a FADC forwarded reversal.
Also, I'd say you should just expect the worst whenever you go into a comment section for anything. That way they can't disappoint you TOO much (hopefully)

That way they can't disappoint you TOO much (hopefully) Being able to mindlessly mash with no huge risk is a reason the game is such bs. Frame traps are important because you have no other way to really open anybody up. You don't even have to worry about FADC forwarded stuff alone. Mashed legs, ultras, and a host of other things makes attacking and pressure not rewarding. What about the invincible backdashes. I don't post, my friend was posting and I just browsed it. I know those places are garbage which is why I don't post. I shouldn't have read either, I almost went comatose lol.

It doesn't matter what Crapcom does. Idiots will always justify it. This is why they release such awful games that were half assed.

They USED to make awesome games. Look at CVS2 and 3rd Strike.

Yes the Capcom before the 09 SF4 phase was a different animal. Look at the quality of what they release now. Idiots take what they can get I suppose.

This version was done by someone else actually.

I think it was dimps that gave us SF4 -> AE2012, and USF4 was done by Capcom.

So it was a small in house team for most of it. I recall hearing some other company did it, but nobody is refuting that. So Capcom is really that incompetent.

Yep. Welcome to the future of Capcom fighting games. Do you think that Capcom will be making games in their current capacity in the next decade or so?

I'll wait until SF5 to judge them, but I don't really like what they've been doing so far. Apparently SF5 is going to be more casual than SF4. Why not just make a deep game and include an in-depth tutorial instead? That way, people will actually learn how to play the game.
In all honesty though, I don't really get Capcom. So many teasers about Mega Man, but they give the fans nothing. Fans who are more than willing to give them money for a new Mega Man. Yet they have financial problems now. Not saying that Mega Man sales will solve everything, but why not take what you can get? Also, it's the same with all the R.Mika and Alex teasers in SF4 and XTekken. Why?

They screwed up their other franchises. I shudder at the thought of an even more casual SF. They don't want to make a quality game with a tutorial because that takes work. It's too easy just to release casual garbage. I think I've just about had my fill of SF. From one of the greatest franchises of all time to garbage. Just sad.

I'm still interested in what SF5 will turn out. But, it's not high priority in my list. I think Tekken 7 or the new KOF are more up there in my interest.

Anyways, there'll be people who defend ANYTHING. People who will label character specific combos as 'depth'. Unintuitive juggle properties as 'hardcore'. These are people who are trying to justify their purchase to themselves, at least that's what I think about the most vocal fanboys of anything. At the end of the day, video games, movies, etc are just that. No need to have such an attachment that you're willing to outright attack others who think differently.

These fools hurt the gaming industry and won't give any other game credit for being even decent and they have sheer double standards. It's ok for SF4 to have a ton of issues, but if another game has a very mild or superficial problem it's WW3. They're just over emotional and religious like overzealous over a game, they usually haven't tried anything else so they can't be rational or objective in the least.

A reboot eh? What characters will be left? I was only joking, but what I'd like to see and I know it won't happen is the sequel to Street Fighter 3 I've been praying for. With a new cast plus old favorites from SF2 and SF3. I think we'll see more of the same characters, but a bit "older" with slightly new moves.

What kinds of mechanics (old or new) would you like to see? Would you like to see a guard bar? Would you like to see any new meters or a return to a multistocked super meter? Do you think stuns need to return?

Fans need to be able to look at a game objectively and give constructive criticism in order to improve their games. As long as fanboys are in the majority, companies will continue to make the same mistakes / shoddy business practises.

No ultras, no stupid reversal window, no crouch teching, guard bar, faster speed, no safe reversals, no stupid lenient inputs and option selects, multiple supers, many different modes, stun is fine either way, don't really care. Wouldn't mind a bar. I could go on and on.

Stun Meter Guard meter and guard crush Just Defend style mechanic vs Parry or Focus UOH Ex moves [ a given] Super Jumping like in third strike Projectiles stun and take large damage Small but varies cast [unlikely cause fanboys] No Auto correct.

Then how do you suppose they'll FURTHER concede to the casuals? 1]Universal foward moving attacks with invincibility frames 2]Auto-correct guard [just incase you forget to block 3]Hit confirms off of every other attack 4]Desperation Ultra that's completely invincible and mashable. 90% damage with two button inputs.
