Killer Instinct on PC?

"One of the main gripes players have with the third installment in the Killer Instinct series is that the next-gen title is exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox One. Dropping $400+ for a console, a new fightstick, and the game itself is a bit of a tall order, and since the game's release last year, players everywhere have stated that they'd be willing to pick up KI if it were available on other platforms.

It looks like the idea of Killer Instinct branching out of its Xbox One exclusivity may be an actual possibility now. A thread recently went up over on the Ultra-Combo Forum that prompted users to comment on whether or not they'd like to see KI make its way to PC.

Since then, Microsoft Studios' creative director Adam Isgreen has jumped into the thread and confirmed that the MS team has their eye on the community comments regarding a potential PC port.

The Killer Instinct community will surely grow in numbers if a PC port is introduced, especially if Microsoft implements cross play functionality. Needless to say, I'm all for it!

The console fanboys on that thread are stupid. They don't want people getting on the PC because they spent money on some Xbox and don't want people having Killer Instinct on the PC. Most people aren't going to buy a console plus controllers and other nonsense just to play a single niche game. Consoles are just a waste of money. It's just silly how closed minded they are. Especially with crossplay. It's not my fault the console is falling behind. Not only that but they're shooting themselves in the foot by hurting a growing community. Microsoft on KI so it only makes sense and they should have done it years ago. Why wait until SF does it.

Yeah, they're just reacting because they sense the end is nigh. Consoles are screwed, they can't even keep exclusives anymore. Everything keeps getting ported to PC, Nintendo is the only exception to this rule.

Lol, these fanboys are insane. We should have to spend all that money on a console and other nonsense (online subscription, and controller) just to play one game? That makes no sense. It's why consoles are dumb. It's literally about pleasing fanboys because it's just dumb. What other point is there to having an exclusive other than fanboy wars. Consoles lose money on their devices anyways.

They are bitter because PC is getting it. They keep using pirating arguments and other nonsense but the facts are quite clear.

Nintendo might be next so look out. I'd be quite glad if Nintendo released games to PC. I hear that PC emulates Wii quite well though.


One of the reasons is that the consoles now have x86 architecture which is what the PC's use. They are basically crappy PC's. People are dumb to shoot themselves in the foot, Microsoft wants to make money and they're angry over a wasted purchase.

Gotta go one step at a time, lol. And yes for gaming I use 64 bit on both, seeing as I have a lot of ram.

These people are insane saying that PC owners are going to pirate and basically admitting there would be no point to consoles if PC got everything. That's exactly the point! Why have consoles? There is no reason other than fanboyism. I just want good gaming at a good price.

Note: Exclusive comes from the root word 'exclude'. That means people celebrating exclusives are celebrating the fact that others are excluded from the same entertainment experience that they are enjoying.

Pretty lame. I'd like to see KI3 on PC, it's always nice to have more options to all consumers.

Like I said before it's going to be handhelds and PC's. Casuals will play on tablets and things like that while heavy gaming will be on PC's.

Ehh. Ignorance is what kept / is keeping consoles alive. Many people don't even realize that a PC can be used as a gaming machine. Many people genuinelly think that console features like voice chat, online multiplayer, etc are console inventions, etc. 

As long as ignorance like this is around, consoles will continue to thrive.

One guy even admitted consoles were scams but he just doesn't care. Stupidity at its finest.

Not to mention if someone thinks that PC's can't game, they're dumb. Consoles are computers just like phones are. They do like to say you need $2k to buy a rig and play on it along with the usual pirating argument. People are just too dumb and lazy period.

I was reading that thread about SF being "in its own league" they try to justify SF selling less than SSB and MK. They just want it to be the best, "just because".

They basically jump the fence to whatever benefits them. Quality is quality regardless of sales. If they want to argue that SF is influential that's one thing. But it's not the best. SF4 never had the impact of SF2 anyways.
