I use to played something like that where you had to take care of your pet especially the Chao Garden when you play Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 along with Sonic Advance 1 & 2, Sonic Pinball Party, & Eyetoy Sega Superstars.

Some of the past DoA games definitely had those elements. I like how it's called owner mode.


I wonder if that will be controversial with certain groups.

Here is more information about Owner Mode from Gematsu:

Owner Mode sees players become the owner of Zack Island, and their fate depends on the satisfaction of the girls. You'll maintain favorability with the girls to increase your satisfaction level by working and gaining experience to level up. You'll also unlock owner-exclusive items, features, and other various elements. Owner Mode also has a "Raw Clothes Change" feature where the girls change swimsuits on the spot. But you have to close your eyes! If you open them mid-change (you'll see this in the video when the optional Circle button prompt appears in the lower right corner of the screen), your satisfaction level with the girls will drop.

Picture Taking

Owners can, of course, take gravure photographs, as well as photograph the girls' activities.

Raw Outfit Change

If the girl's "satisfaction level" is high, she may be willing to change her outfit right then and there. But don't peek!

Gravure Paradise

A mode where you can choose and appreciate your favorite gravure. You can, of course, select your favorite swimsuit, and as a new feature, select your gravure's time slot, hairdo, suntan, wetness, and more. There are various customization possibilities.

Once you've chosen your favorite girl, you can choose between all sorts of options for the situation and appearance. Even the same gravure can be fresh with a new setting. Make scenes wet that aren't supposed to be wet, or slip off clothes that aren't supposed to be slipped off during a vacation. Do as you please!

Owner Shop

In the Owner-exclusive shop, you can purchase series' familiar legend swimsuits "Fortune," "Venus," and other special items. The "Fortune" swimsuit is only available in the PlayStation 4 version, and the "Venus" swimsuit is only available in the PS Vita version.

Soft Engine Lite

While Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune for PlayStation 4 uses "Soft Engine 2.0," Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus for PS Vita uses "Soft Engine Lite."

Here are some features:
Flick -- A strange wind is triggered according to the direction and strength of your finger touching the screen, and the girl's hair, outfit, and chest will sway.
Pinch -- When you pinch the screen, the girl's chest squeezes together.
Wetness and Transparency -- When the girl sweats or falls into the pool, for example, she'll get wet. Just like the PlayStation 4 version, the part of her outfit that gets wet will become transparent.

Six minutes of gameplay footage from Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune for PlayStation 4 has come out of the Taipei Game Show 2016 show floor.

The footage shows the game’s “Gravure Paradise” mode with Marie Rose, Honoka, Nyotengu, and Kasumi.

Koei Tecmo debuted a character trailer for Marie Rose and new footage of “Gravure Paradise” mode in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 during Tokaigi 2016.

Gravure Paradise lets players choose a girl, outfit them with their favorite swimsuit, and select a number of elements, including time of day, hairdo, suntan, level of wetness, and more before shooting photographs.

In addition to the top Ayane image that gives us a first look at Dead or Alive Xtreme 3’s pole dancing feature, we get another teaser from this week’s magazine issue, meaning we’ll likely see more screenshots and a trailer in the near future.

The latest issue of tha Japanese magazine Weekly Famitsu had a new article on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, and this time around the game turns up the heat.

We get to check out some sexy dancing with and without a pole, gambling (including Poker, Roulette and Black Jack) and more, on top of some of the sexy “bathroom posters” that will be included in the “strongest package” collector’s edition.

While we wait for the game’s Japanese and Asian release on March 24th, you can check out the gallery below. Just keep in mind that these are magazine scans, so the quality isn’t as good as direct feed screenshots.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Details Its Casino Where You Can Get Lucky With The Ladies

Koei Tecmo shared the latest on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 with details on the game’s “Event Paradise” feature, its casino mini-games that you’ll get to check out during the night, and more.

Owner Mode:

The “Event Paradise” is a feature that lets you view some of your favorite events. While out on vacation, you’ll get to look back at memorable events and happenings through this feature. These will save up different events from the start of the vacation on your arrival to the island to the end of your stay.

Again, similar to the “Gravure Paradise” mode, you’ll be able to select your favorite costumes, fit for a looser appearance, suntan degree, wetness, and hairstyle.

The Owner Shop is exclusive to the Owner, where you’ll get to buy series’ familiar legend swimsuits, such as “Fortune,” “Venus,” and other special items.

Again, if you can get a “Secret Ticket” that is sold to VIPs that play enough at the casino, you’ll get to use it for a “special” dance.

Here’s a look at some of the casino games that you’ll get to play:

Blackjack:

The familiar card game with the goal of getting 21 or as close as possible. Split and Insurance are some of the rules that are used here.

Poker:

With a flush, straight, or other types of hands, your goal is to have a better hand than your opponent. When you have a good hand, you’ll put in more money, and drop if it’s weak. However, keep in mind that the girls will begin to notice if you start raising each time you have a good hand, and they’ll also have their own characteristics that you’ll be able to figure out for yourself.

Roulette:

This uses the basic “00” from the rules of “American Roulette.” Beginners can also go with even, odd, red, or black as their choices, too.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Gets Plenty Of Footage For Its PS Vita Version

Koei Tecmo recently showed off the latest on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus, the PlayStation Vita version of the game, during a NicoNico Live stream with Producer Yosuke Hayashi. [Thanks, DualShockers.]

The above videos give us a look at the PlayStation Vita version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, which does not include some of the visual features of the Soft Engine 2.0 that you see on the PS4 version, but it’ll instead have some dedicated touch controls, which you get to see in the above video.



This touch feature will let you control a “mysterious wind” that interacts with the girl’s body. Again, keep in mind that the videos are from a NicoNico Live recording, so we’ll probably get some higher quality gameplay footage sometime in the near future.

Hayashi Yosuke Interview Reveals new Details about Dead or Alive Xtreme 3

In an interview in Famitsu producer at Koei Techmo Hayashi Yosuke of Team Ninja released some very interesting details about the release of the third title in the Dead or Alive Xtreme series. Showing that Team Ninja were listening to their fans, Hayashi states that production of DoA Xtreme 3 was started after an influx of messages from gamers stating they wanted a new Xtreme game featuring Dead or Alive 5: Last Round’s infamous soft engine, an engine which improves breast physics. Team Ninja have continued to work on this engine and have stated that vast improvements have been made for the new release.


“The PS4 and Xbox One versions of DOA 5, equipped with the “Soft Engine” were well received, and almost every day someone opined, “We want to play Xtreme with the Soft Engine.”

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will be released for both the PS4 and Vita though Hayashi admitted there will be differences between the titles. The Vita will utilize the gyroscope and the touch screen though admitted that that graphical capabilities would be limited.

Most disappointingly perhaps was his admission that the game may not see a Western release, but rather Team Ninja will gauge the popularity of the Japanese release first.

“The fighting games are overwhelmingly more popular internationally, but in the case of Xtreme, the fans are very numerous domestically. We’ve been perplexed by this as of late, so we decided to release Xtreme 3 in the Japanese and Asian regions. But, if demand is high, we might develop a version adjusted for North America and Europe.”

Hayashi was also tight lipped as to what the new game would include. He hinted that the camera function and reward systems would remain as well as several new features. Instead of needing to play as all characters to unlock all the costumes he said now that it would be possible to unlock them all simply playing with your favorite. He also talked about the tanning system which the development team are currently working on. It will be possible for the girls to tan showing tan lines dependant on the bikini they wear. However, they are still working on how the system will work.


“To begin with in terms of the appeal of sun tanning, we’re considering the boundary between what places need to be tanned and what don’t.” “The method of the previous games was, when you changed swimsuits, you could see the tan lines of the previous swimsuit, but we feel that’s a bit insufficient. In this game, because skin has a realistic feel, we’ve powered up the appearance of tanning quite a bit. It’s still being tested,”

Finally Hayashi spoke about which girls would be included in this game. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round saw the number of female characters in the Dead or Alive series bumped up to 15. As Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3 is based on interactions between characters Team Ninja have decided to keep the number of characters down to 9. What is most interesting about this is that gamers will be able to choose which characters make it into the game. As of August 20th gamers were invited to download custom Dead or Alive themes from the Playstation Store. The girls whose themes have the most downloads will make it into the new release. Hayashi even stated that no girl is safe. If Kasumi, the main character of the Dead or Alive series doesn’t make it into the top 9 then she won’t be featured. Hayashi also stated that the top rated characters will likely come with exclusive costumes, and that characters who do not make it into the top 9 will not be released later as DLC.


“Starting today, from 8/20, custom themes are available on the Playstation Store. From those download numbers, we’ll invite the top 9 characters onto the stage.” “It will be decided on genuine popularity. The images of Kasumi in this article are purely from development. If Kasumi isn’t selected, she really won’t appear.”

They won’t be available as DLC later?

“If we do that, then the election wouldn’t have any meaning, so we don’t plan on making them available via DLC.”

Hayashi ended the interview by announcing that a new character for the Dead or Alive series will be revealed in March. Stating that the character has gone in a “different direction”.
