Here’s Who Will Be Playable in The King of Fighters XIV’s Latest Public Build
As we reported earlier, SNK will be debuting a new public build of The King of Fighters XIV with 36 playable characters. While this build isn’t supposed to be revealed until the the 28th, the folks over at Orochinagi have been able to get a screenshot of the character select screen from the new build.
Now let’s get straight to the point, the new 36 character public build of The King of Fighters XIV doesn’t feature some of the fighters shown off in the latest trailers. So anyone looking for footage of Mature is out of luck. That said, it still features a good number of characters who weren’t in any previous builds such as Joe Higashi, Mui Mui, Nakoruru, Hein and new protagonist Shun’ei.
For those who aren’t familiar with the characters in the above select screen are (starting from the upper left):
•Kyo Kusanagi •Benimaru Nikaido •Goro Daimon •Nelson •Bandeiras Hattori •Chang Koehan •Choi Bounge •Sylvie Paula Paula •Kukri •Iori Yagami •Vice •King of Dinosaurs •K’ •Kula Diamond •Maxima •Terry Bogard •Andy Bogard •Joe Higashi •Ryo Sakazaki •Robert Garcia •Yuri Sakazaki •Ralph Jones •Clark Still •Leona Heidern •Shun’ei •Tung Fu Rue •King •Mai Shiranui •Athena Asamiya •Chin Gentsai •Nakoruru •Mui Mui •Kim Kaphwan •Luong •Billy Kane •Hein
This new build is making its debut on April 28, this Saturday, and will be making appearances in games centers around Japan throughout the month of June.

In game footage of latest King of Fighters 14 build shows off Hein, Shun' ei, Mui Mui, Kukri, Yuri and more
No less than four game play videos of the latest King of Fighters 14 build have made their way up onto the FRZ_FGC YouTube page.
This latest build features 36 fighters, and in these videos we see glimpses of Hein, Kukri, Yuri, Maxima, Ralph, Mui Mui, Shun' ei and Chin in action. We have yet to see many of these fighters beyond trailers, Here's a quick sequence featuring Hein and Kukri and then another of Kukri's Ultimate:

www.eventhubs.com/images/2016/may/28/kukri-ult/
We just recently caught our first glimpse of Yuri in KOF 14, and though she's in one of the videos here, we don't see a whole lot of offense from her. Still we do get to observe a few attacks and some in-game movement.

Check Out Shun’ei, Hein, Yuri, and Kukri’s Climax Moves from the Latest King of Fighters XIV Build
The latest public build of The King of Fighters XIV was shown off recently at Akihabara in Tokyo, Japan. As previously reported, this new build features a bunch of characters who have never been playable before.
While footage from these events in Japan tends to be hard to come by, some players were able to sneak out some off-screen video. Specifically, videos of the Climax moves of some of the newly playable characters have been shared online.
Makky_CYS and Bignog shared footage of Yuri Sakazaki and Kukri’s Climaxes on Twitter, and the folks at Orochinagi have compiled them into a single video.
Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super has posted videos of the Climaxes of Geese’ butler Hein, and new protagonist Shun’ei.

Check Out Some King of Fighters XIV Exhibition Footage from Combo Breaker
The King of Fighters XIV was at the recently concluded Combo Breaker 2016 event in St. Charles, Illinois. While the build shown by SNK was still the older, 24-character build of the game (and not the newer build being shown in Japan), it still represented the first time said build was playable in North America.
With this in mind, more than a few players were on hand to try the game out and play some matches. Players such as Bzerk, Kenshiro, James Jr, KCopedro, JDR, Terry, and more took place on some exhibition matches on the stream.
For those who missed it, Khaos Gaming has uploaded the footage of these matches onto YouTube. Check them out below.

Relive the clutch reads, blowups, and more in Combo Breaker's King of Fighters 14 exhibition
SNK brought King of Fighters 14 to Combo Breaker this past weekend, and several top players put on quite the exhibition to show off the game.
This marks the first time the 24 character build of King of Fighters 14 was playable stateside, and the exhibition offers us a great look at new and old characters alike.
The King of Dinosaurs may be fearsome, but Flanagan's Clark shows him that Ikari Warriors know no fear. Bzerk may have had control for most of the round, but just one opening suddenly left him with not much more than the magic pixel.

Series poster boy Kyo seems to be quite dangerous when he's sitting on a lot of meter. He also remains true to form, as shown by Unwieldly catching Robert sleeping.

The King of Fighters XIV Will Be Playable at Sony’s E3 Booth
While The King of Fighters XIV was just available to play at Combo Breaker, it looks like (some) North American fans of the series won’t have to wait long to give it another go. Sony recently revealed a partial list of games that will be playable at their booth at the West Hall of the LA Convention center at E3, and among the games is none other than SNK’s upcoming fighter.
Before any Angelenos start making plans of actually attending, it’s important to note that E3 is still mostly an industry-only event with the only portion open to the public being the separate E3 Live 2016 event taking place at L.A. Live. That said, companies do sometimes invite top players to their booth to play their games, so if we’re lucky, we’ll get some quality impressions and footage from the event.

'I don't care about graphics, for me, gameplay is most important' - Xian discusses why he's excited for King of Fighters 14
King of Fighters 14 was playable at Stunfest this year, and famed fighting game player RZR|Xian was able to get some hands on time with it.
Xian granted an interview with Looping Showgames to give his initial reactions to the upcoming SNK title.
It seems Xian's biggest note was the simplicity of KOF 14's gameplay. He even notes "This game is a lot more interesting because it's simpler and the combos are easier." He predicts newer players will have an easier time getting into this KOF, which will be good for the game's overall popularity.
One of the major talking points in the KOF community has been KOF 14's initial visual appearance. Many community members have been quite vocal about the lack of quality graphics in the game, but Xian feels that actual gameplay is much more important.

Wednesday Night Fights to Host The King of Fighters XIV on June 15
While the King of Fighters XIV will be playable at E3 next week, the event isn’t exactly the best place for the public to get some hands-on time with the game. Luckily, for those in Southern California looking for a chance to try the game, it’s also going to be playable at another venue.
Level Up’s Alex Valle has just announced over Twitter that the King of Fighters XIV will be making a stop on Wednesday Night Fights on June 15–the same week as E3.
Whether or not this will be the same 36-character build that SNK has been touring around Japan is unknown. That said, Valle has stated that more details about the game’s appearance at WNF will be revealed soon.

Check Out Over Half an Hour of Gameplay from The King of Fighters XIV
With SNK currently touring the latest build of the King of Fighters XIV around Japan, we’re slowly getting to see more of the game in action.
Hot on the heels of the footage we shared yesterday, we have this new video from keykakko with over half an hour of King of Fighters XIV gameplay. With this amount of footage, we get to see more of what the cast can do as players try to figure out their moves, Desperation moves, combos and more.
Though this footage wasn’t recorded directly from a stream, the video does come with the added bonus of being shot at 60 frames per second.

Deep Silver Discusses Bringing King of Fighters XIV to Europe, Keeping it Close to its Roots, eSports and More
When Deep Silver announced that it was bringing The King of Fighters XIV to Europe last month, fans breathed a sigh of relief as it meant that, unlike some other games, they would be getting KoF XIV at the same time as other regions.
Deep Silver’s Production Chief, Julien En Rab, recently spoke to Gamelove about various topic regarding the latest iteration of the game.
Regarding bringing the game to Europe, En Rab confirmed that they talked directly to SNK, without going through Atlus. He also states that, alongside bringing the game at the same time as other regions, any future updates to the game will also come at the same time.
As for localization, he confirmed that all of the text–barring special move names–will be translated, but the voices will remain in Japanese.
He goes on to mention that the game is a return to the series’ roots, focusing more on fundamentals in a way that fans of KoF 98 and 2002 will find familiar, while adding in mechanics that bring in new fans. The idea is to “get back” the fans of the older games while still cultivating new blood.
As for competition and eSports, he states that SNK is coming from an arcade background and, like a lot of companies, it’s still new to this whole eSports thing. That said, he stated that SNK has allowed them to bring the game to events such as Stunfest, and the upcoming Japan Expo in Paris. However, he notes that, for them to create an international, pro-level competition, they would have to work closely with SNK.

King of Fighters XIV Screenshot Reveals First Glimpse of New Character Love Heart
Atlus has recently updated their official North American site for the King of Fighters XIV with a bunch of new screenshots. While most of these are just the same shots that SNK has been sharing over Twitter, one of them is a new shot that gives a glimpse of a character that we’ve yet to see anywhere else.
The screenshot in question shows us our first glimpse of newcomer Love Heart. Hailing from the Sky Love pachi-slot game, Love Heart represents the third and final member of the Another World team alongside Nakoruru and Mui Mui.
In addition to this, the screenshot also gives a slight hint at her fighting style, showing that she wields a sort of energy blade.

Xanadu is easily the creepiest KoF character yet... The King of Fighters 14 Villains trailer shows off the game's baddies and a new stage
Another King of Fighters 14 team just got their own trailer, and this time it's the game's combative convicts that are getting the spotlight.
We see highlights for Chang, Choi and Xanadu, off whom show off their moves in a brand new underground prison stage. Xanadu is a brand new character to the KoF franchise, and brings the creepy in no small way.
Little is known about him at this point, but he appears to have some mommy issues. One of his moves sees him throwing a toddler-like tantrum, while another sees him cradle his foe as if they were his child... you know... before slamming them into the ground.
