Heres a look at Desperations & Climax Moves from shoryuken:
Check Out Some Desperation and Climax Moves from the Current Build of The King of Fighters XIV
SNK pioneered the concept of super moves with the introduction of Desperation Moves in the original Art of Fighting. As such, they’ve been an integral part of almost every SNK fighter since, including the storied King of Fighters series.
For The King of Fighters XIV, SNK is using a refined version of the system where each character has normal and EX versions of their Desparation Moves, as well powerful Climax moves that are similar to NeoMaxes from the previous game.
Now for those wondering how these moves look like in KOFXIV, GamesTenKO Master took the time to record nearly all the Desperation Moves and Climaxes from Monday’s King of Fighters XIV Experience stream. These include both classic Desperation Moves as well as new ones from newcomers and veterans alike, which you can see in the video below.

I like that they are quick and not overly cinematic. Takes too long.

Heres an interview of Neo_G from eventhubs:
Neo_G is King of Fighters 14's lead game designer, talks about what he actually handles at SNK after joining in January
Earlier this month we learned that Hidetoshi "Neo_G" Ishizawa, formerly a Capcom employee and the Battle Director for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, was now working at SNK. He's been there since January this year.
Given his background in fighting games development, it's natural to assume that he's been involved with the development work for King of Fighters 14 since joining SNK. But with so much of the game already done by the time he's joined the company, what does Neo_G actually do? More importantly, what else will he be working on after KoF 14?
4Gamer recently caught up with Neo_G (pictured fourth from the left in the banner above) as well as the KoF 14 Producer Yasuyuki Oda (second from the left) for a brief chat, following the announcement of the game's release date, in which the answers for these questions were revealed.
4Gamer: Tell us a little about what you've been working on as a member of the King of Fighters 14 development team after joining SNK.
Hidetoshi Ishizawa (Neo_G): [As Lead Game Designer] I'm in charge of adjusting and fine tuning gameplay on this title. So what I do is go to KoF 14 game designer Watanabe (third from the left in the banner) with ideas like "if we could implement such-and-such thing in this manner, the game will be more interesting." And then Watanabe is the one who'll incorporate that.
Outside of fine tuning gameplay, I also work on adjustments for the new characters. For these characters, what I'd do is suggest play elements that would be fun for fighting game fans. And then similarly, Watanabe would take those ideas, and realize them in a manner that fits the KoF flavor.
4Gamer: As the illustrious Neo_G, from here on out, will you also be working on fighting games other than KoF 14 down the pipeline at SNK?
Hidetoshi Ishizawa (Neo_G): This time around, it just so happened that the title I've been working on is KoF 14. But outside of this title, I think I'm probably going to be working on action game titles.
4Gamer: You mean games like Metal Slug, or Flying Power Disc (a Neo Geo title made by Data East), I suppose? Well, Flying Power Disc isn't owned by SNK, but you catch my drift -- you'll be working on more Neo Geo games?
Hidetoshi Ishizawa (Neo_G): Ah, you could put it that way, I suppose (laughs). Of course, originally my handle name "Neo_G" was derived from SNK's "Neo Geo" platform. With that said, I never thought I'd actually be working on SNK games one day. As we plan on reviving the old SNK namesake, from here on out there's really a lot we'd like to work on. Please look forward to great things from us.
4Gamer: What about you, Oda (KoF14 producer Yasuyuki Oda)? What kinds of requests did you ask of Ishizawa when he joined the development team?
Yasuyuki Oda: Although Ishizawa only joined the team from February of this year, I asked for him to give the game a little extra kick in the fine tuning phase.
4Gamer: Now that you're able to finally announce a release date for KoF 14, is there anything you'd like to say to the readers and fans who're eagerly waiting for the game's release?
Yasuyuki Oda: As it's been a while since the last time we've launched a new game under the SNK brand, right now our number one focus is on servicing our fans and meeting their expectations. From here on out we also plan to work on plenty of stuff that we hope everyone will find fascinating.
4Gamer: [As traditionally each chapter in the KoF saga has been told over three games] Of course, we can expect a KoF 15 and 16 in the future, right?
Yasuyuki Oda: We don't know for sure if that will happen yet (laughs). But with that said, the team absolutely wants to make them.
4Gamer: What about other SNK fighting game franchises like The Last Blade and Fatal Fury?
Yasuyuki Oda: We would absolutely love to make them as well (laughs). Please look forward to our other titles in the future. Try as they might to pry, it seems like 4Gamer wasn't able to get Neo_G and Oda to tip their hand and give us a peek into their post-KoF 14 development plans.
The future for SNK fighting games certainly seems bright -- but did they really expect us to believe that they hired Neo_G just so they could use his expertise on action games instead of fighters?
Take a look at Neo_G's history over at Capcom (which is in Japanese). Outside of Devil May Cry 2 and 4 and a Spawn title, everything else he's been credited for are fighting games.

Here are some high level KOF XIV from eventhubs:
First look at high level King of Fighters 14 play - KSB 2016 Top 8 replays
Thanks to SNK, we got our first look at high level King of Fighters 14 play this past weekend at KSB 2016. This tournament's build sported 24 characters, many of whom we haven't seen before.
Returning characters like Ryo, Vice and Kim felt very true to their previous counterparts, while having a few new tweaks. Others like Iori felt like a blend of different iterations from previous games.
Iori especially stood out when it came to character selection in this top 8; Jamuwo was the only player that did not have him on his team.
In spite of early mixed reviews for the series' new look, each time we see the game in action things do start to look better and better. The action in the game is fast paced, and mechanics like Just Defend and Maxmode fall in line with what we're used to seeing out of the series.

Here details about KOF XIV speed comparison from shoryuken:
The King of Fighters XIV Moves Just as Fast as Older Games
One major discussion point regarding SNK’s upcoming King of Fighters XIV is on the speed of the game. While those who’ve played it say the speed is fine, more than a few players have stated that they think that the game looks slow.
To settle the issue, Orpheus Santos has made this comparison video, taking bits of footage from KOFXIV and recreating these situations in King of Fighters 2002 and King of Fighters XIII. As a bonus, they’ve also done comparisons with KOF fangame King of Fighters WING.
The results are actually quite surprising. Despite what some have claimed, the King of Fighters XIV’s gameplay moves just as fast as older games. The only thing that makes some combos take longer in KOFXIV is the extra cinematic starter animation, everything else moves just as fast.
These findings, while surprising to some, seem to jive with observations made by other players. In Shoryuken’s own forums, John Xuandou has made a comparison of the speed of hops and jumps KOFXIV compared to KOF98 noting that they are generally the same give or take a few frames.
While these sources don’t tell the whole story about the game’s speed, they do give us insight into how our memories and biases may prevent us from fairly comparing a game to its predecessors at first glance.
John Xuandou's/JohnGrimm comment:
Slowly collecting info on jumps just to see how things have changed.
Iori hop / jump
XIV: 28 / 34? 98: 26 / 34
Kim back jump? I wasn't aware that jumping forward and backward had different lengths.
XIV: 37 98: 35
98 forward jump is 34 frames. Didn't get a chance to record a raw forward jump or hop that wasn't cancelled into something for XIV.
Leona hop / jump
XIV: 29 / 40 98: 31 / 40
Clark jump
XIV: 40 98: 35
Now obviously these comparisons are only with 98 and things might have changed in 02 and almost certainly were different in XIII, but it definitely seems like a mixed bag. Some are slower, some are faster, some are the same. Overall so far I am still inclined to say that jumps are not nerfed or floatier than they should be, but rather balance decisions were made that were different than the ones in older games.

Heres a demo being playable in Combo Breaker from eventhubs:
The King of Fighters XIV Demo to be Playable at Combo Breaker
If the pot bonuses at Combo Breaker aren’t enough of an incentive to head out to Illinois at the end of May, perhaps this new piece of information will be. Late yesterday, tournament organizers announced that they will be hosting a playable demo of The King of Fighters XIV at the event.
shoryuken.com/2016/05/06/thousands-of-dollars-in-pot-bonuses-up-for-grabs-at-this-months-combo-breaker/ The much anticipated next gen title, courtesy of ATLUS and SNK, isn’t the only King of Fighters game to be present. KOFXIV actually brings the number of playable titles from the franchise held at Combo Breaker to 3, including it’s predecessors The King of Fighter XIII, and 2002.
While it’s not going to be a tournament game, this is still a great opportunity to get your hands on the title earlier than everyone else. Assuming you’re there, be aware that it will not be available at all hours, unlike every other game at the 24 hour venue, so be sure to play it when you get the chance.
Combo Breaker 2016 is happening May 27-29 in St. Charles, Illinois. More information can be found on their official website.

Daimon featured in new King of Fighters 14 team gameplay trailer
SNK released a new King of Fighters 14 trailer this evening, it's a team gameplay trailer featuring Goro Daimon.
He's the final member of team Japan, and appears to be a grappling character. We see a few combos, specials and his Desperation Attack in the trailer.
Daimon is teamed up with Kyo and Benimaru who are also showcased heavily in this clip.
We're surprised to see Daimon open his eyes during his super animation.

Playable King of Fighters XIV Demo Making a Stop at Community Effort Orlando 2016 A playable demo of The King of Fighters XIV has been making it’s way around the global tournament circuit, with new planned stops popping up regularly. We recently learned that CEO 2016–which takes place just two months before the launch of the game–now counts itself among the growing list of upcoming events to host a playable version of the title. If you live in the US and weren’t able to make PAX East or won’t be attending Combo Breaker, this might be one of your only chances to learn the game before the rest of the competition. ceogaming.org/kofxivceo2016While the demo will not be a tournament title, it has been confirmed that CEOtaku in October will be one of the earliest major events to carry the game. Be sure to register and book your stay early, if that interests you. Community Effort Orlando 2016 is happening June 24-26 in Orlando, Florida. More information can be found here. CEOtaku takes place October 1st-2nd in Orlando as well. Get a head start on preparing for that event here. ceogaming.org/ceo2016

The King of Fighters XIV Coming to Europe on August 26 Care Of Deep Silver
Europe tends to occasionally be left out when it comes to release dates for some fighting games. As such, whenever a game’s release date is given for Japan and North America, but not for Europe, as was the case for the King of Fighters XIV, fans in the region tend to worry.
Well, here’s some great news then for King of Fighters fans in Europe: Deep Silver have not only announced that they will be bringing the game to the region, but that it will be coming out on August 26, just a day or two behind the releases in other regions.
Regarding this, Klemenz Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media–the company that owns the Deep Silver label–stated that “[We] are looking forward to adding The King of Fighters XIV to Deep Silver’s portfolio.” He also added that “Publishing the next installment of such an iconic fighting series in Europe, the first time on PS4, supplements our roster of Deep Silver games nicely.”
As part of the announcement, they also released the following European trailer for the game. (Same as the US Trailer)

See How The King of Fighters XIV’s Jumps Compare to those in The King of Fighters XIII
Some time back, we published a story about comparisons of the speed of SNK’s upcoming King of Fighters XIV versus some older games in the franchise. As part of this, we included some observations on the speed of the game’s jumps.
Post: May 4, 2016 at 9:24pm by NyuNozomiHyuga Despite this however, there still seems to be some misconception about the game’s jumps supposedly being “floaty.” To put these concerns to rest, ATRyoSakazaki has put together a new video–using footage from Ken Bogard’s stream–that directly compares the speed of the jumps in The King of Fighters XIV with those from its immediate predecessor, The King of Fighters XIII.
As the video below demonstrates, there’s very little difference in the speed of the jumps between these games. In fact, there are times when the jumps in KoFXIV are clearly faster than those in its predecessor.

Check Out Even More King of Fighters XIV Play from Stunfest
The King of Fighters XIV saw a lot of traffic at Stunfest thanks to eager folks wanting to get their hands on the game early. This also meant those not able to attend the event got a chance to experience the game vicariously through streamed footage.
For those who didn’t catch it live, there was plenty of impressive play from players like Frionel, Piccolo San, and Qanba|Xiaohai. You can see some of those replays below.
Despite the fact that the game isn’t out yet, Grave Lee was able to put together a quick combo video highlighting it. Granted, this combo video is simply comprised of cool combos from the play at Stunfest, but it’s still worth checking out. Roughly half of the characters available in the Stunfest demo are shown off here, so it’s a pretty good chance to take a peak at what characters are capable of in the upcoming title.

SNK to Show Off New King of Fighters XIV Build with 36 Playable Characters on May 28
Lately, it seems that we’ve been spoiled when it comes to King of Fighters XIV content. Aside from the latest 24 character public build of the game, SNK has also been putting up trailers almost every week, and screenshots almost every single day.
Well, it seems that this flood of information isn’t going to turn into a trickle anytime soon. SNK have just announced that they will be debuting a brand new public build of the game with 36 playable characters on May 28 in Japan.
This new build represents a chance for fans to get a glimpse at characters who we’ve yet to see in action, as well as some like King and Angel, who were noticeably missing from the 24 character build, despite being playable in earlier ones.
In addition to this, SNK will be taking said 36 character build to different locations all over Japan in the weeks following its debut.
