if Capcom EVER came out and officially stated that "Ryu is gay".... how would the FGC or the public at large would react to it exactly??? Based on some of the posts from that thread... its not completely impossible for such a thing to happen (though I myself feel it will never happen and like Ryu as he is... a man who only loves/lives for the fight).

But if Capcom did do that.... would more accept it since it came from Capcom...?

OR would many more never accept such a thing EVEN if its directly from Capcom...?

Ryu is a wandering ascetic and is as asexual as you can get. What I find interesting is that he has to be gay and how being gay or trans is the new in thing. What about asexuals or pansexuals? Well Ryu has female characters who like him but he just likes his fighting. I think it's something similar with Sensui. He never showed any affection to anybody himself but Itsuki liked him so everyone said "he's gay". These people are quick to label anything.

Many Japanese characters show no real attraction to anybody and just want to fight. I like that it's a break from the norm. Don't show dem hoes no love.

You're right about many of the heroes in Japanese media care about their duty than having sex. Even the bad ass characters. While western characters define themselves often by how much sex they have.

No, clearly not.

Again no old school fighter had perfect balance. There was no online updating. Everything was as it was. The depth of the games more than made up for it. Maybe CvS2 was too complex for it's own good for some, but there will never be anything like it.

48 characters with 6 grooves. It gave you a bunch of depth and tech that you'll never see in a 2d fighter again. There were techniques to go against the top tier A groove stuff. Roll canceling actually made the weaker characters viable so it's not what he says.

I think they just copy paste stuff. How does removing options make a game deeper? Turning it from chess to checkers is depth?
