I think in still shots of a higher res game they look "hotter" but in motion they're less sexy and their bodies are worse. Maybe you just like the smaller and younger look? I'm not sure. Do you think they look hotter than SF or DoA girls? I know Netherrealm said they are going for a realistic look but you've got to look at what realism is, Netherrealm's take on realism and SJW's version of realism. This is just Netherrealm grounding themselves, if they were really trying to appease SJW crowds then there would be no scantily clad outfits and sexy characters. It wasn't like SFV when they decided towards the end of development to start censoring the game to get SJW's. I was worried when Netherrealm said they were going realistic, I was following the videos they were releasing and I started to worry thinking SJW's have got into Mortal Kombat but then I saw Kitana and Mileena and I was like "Whoa they made them even hotter! Haha MKX! Suck it SJW's!" I think MKX wanted realism the same way Dark Knight made everything go "dark and realistic" the same way Tomb Raider 2013 did it. It wasn't a "Think of the women and SJW's!" it was a "What can we do to mix it up and try and get more people to buy it? We'll go realistic because people love that!" Do I think they're hotter than SF or DoA girls? That's a case by case basis. First off without the masks they look butt ugly in MK9, I have a weird taste in women but I can also identify the hotness of other women and why men think they're hot but with the MK9 babes outside of Jade, Mileena and Scarlet I don't understand why people think they're hot. I mean just at Kitana in MKX she's way hotter. Do I prefer smaller frames? Jade is the hottest and thank God she's dead. I would not want to see here in MKX. You thought she was hot and wanted her dead? Yea she was a bit of a copycat character but so were all of the ninjas. The game is still fantasy with a variety of over the top elements and the game was always over the top. Hell the game looked more realistic when they were using ACTUAL digital actors the first 3 games. When a company flat out says what they're doing I call them out on it but I feel you are being biased when you completely deny it because you happen to like this game. When Capcom censors something an apologists go "well it's not ACTUALLY censorship it's an edit" I call them out on it. From what I understand they didn't immediately have this approach but they considered it later, but even then pandering is pandering and MKX did a lot of it. The outfits are far less revealing and far less sexy and I pointed that out in the videos I posted. Not a single female in the game looks as sexy as they did before. They didn't go to the absolute extreme and make them all ugly or fat because they still realize sex sells but to say they did the same thing is silly. Also they all look ugly without their maks in both games because they still have man faces. Look at the Kitana video I posted where she had her mask off. She still had a man face, and Jacqui especially does. I just can't believe you think that they made Kitana and Mileena look more sexy when they covered them up and reduced their proportions. Mileena had an extra outfit which had her in bandages FFS. They were the most changed women of all and you're telling me they made her more sexy. That's like saying you think they made Samus less sexy in Smash because you hate her heels. There's no "suck it SJW's" in their design. It's "we're catering to diversity". Everything about MKX screams catering to diversity and political correctness except the extreme violence which I guess is politically correct in America. MKX was like an old school game with new elements. The roster and everything about it screamed old school Mortal Kombat and 90's over the top characters. The modern look is like what they did to modern comics in many respects. They started toning stuff down to pander to SJW's. As far as Tomb Raider goes, of course they made her more "realistic" by making her less attractive. She's not "ugly" but she's not the super bombshell she was before. A part of that was catering to the modern demographic who would whine about stuff like that. I also don't agree about the women in Dark Knight being hotter. They do look more like actual people though so that's more of a design change. I absolutely disagree here. The MK women could be that hot in design but the man faces just make them look ugly. You think characters like Mileena look better than charactes like Laura? Absolutely not. Despite the censorship Capcom and Doa have had much hotter females and the MK women have never been as hot in game because of the man face design. Even with the hot body the face is still bad so it throws it off. They don't look better than any DoA women because DoA women have actual female faces and look closer to real women. They look more "realistic" despite having a fantasy approach. MKX's women look largely like men. Cassie's the hottest but still has the short hair. They have flat hips and square jaws. Look at Cammy's face compared to theirs. She has roudnder eyes, a softer face, larger breasts, hips, and she still looks more fit. That's what makes women attractive. Not the boy look they gave the females. By the way Smash is the "children's game and Samus and Bayonetta look way hotter than anything they've ever done. Smash was toned up in sex appeal and MKX's was toned down. That's a fact. Only character I find overrated in SF is Chun Li because I find her proportions in her legs to look ridiculous in 4 and 5. I think people just find her iconic and like that fanservice dress she has. She's still hotter than MKX characters though, especially in the face. If you think Mileena is actually more empirically attractive I don't know what's wrong with you. |

You keep using this argument that just because they don't ALL look like a certain character then it's not SJW when it's a strawman argument. Even games that cater to SJW's can have their fanservice. Borderlands has lots of gay and lesbian characters and clearly has some PC stuff in it but they still have Moxxi, who is also bisexual. Hell all the women in Borderlands are gay/bisexual except for Lilith.
The women in MKX are also more covered up, to look less like "strippers and porn stars" which is a common SJW argument.
Mortal Kombat has tons of violence and violence does not set off political correctness, Mortal Kombat had that problem in the 90's. This is not the 90's, it's 2016 where pulling out your stomach through your mouth is ok but big boobs aren't. You already know all of this. I feel you're justifying it because you like the game. You pound the table about SJW's more than anybody I know and you're always talking about it so I have to call you out on it when you defend it in a game that blatantly does it and you say they made the women look more sexual. I just don't see the SJW changes outside of sudden appearance of gay characters (out of the closet gay) and outfit removals. Well Street Fighter catered at the end of development by censoring stuff. I don't think MK had this design decision from day one, but even then they are catering. One game censored but so what? The women in SF aren't fat and ugly so clearly they aren't pandering by your logic. I don't like restricting artistic impression for pandering. I don't care who does it. I don't see what I'm being called out on, MKX has toned down women but the women in MK9 were ugly, they were all tall with ugly muscles and man faces. Again you're confusing a like of design choices with pandering. Like I said MK has always been terrible about women's faces since they lost the digital actors. That's why for me the women just don't look as appealing as DoA, SF, or Soul Calibur women because they look like men. The females in MK9 did have hotter bodies and dressed in a hotter way. You mean you really can't see it from the gameplay footage I posted? If MK9 was on the same system as MKX the difference would be even larger. Speaking of SF. I didn't like SF4's design very much. The guys looked exaggerated and the women have man hands and feet, but they were all equally silly. They fixed most of this in SF5 so I'm being completely impartial on my criticism of both. When you have a developer explicitly say "We want women to look more realistic." and you see that they made women have more boyish figures and covered up more while leaving the men ridiculous looking and don't see it then I have to say you have a bias because you like the game. Injustice had the same problem as MK, they suck at developing the faces for women. NRS was just more up front about their pandering. Who were the majority of people that hated the designs for the MK9 women? I don't buy that for a second. They had the manface problem which NRS did not fix, but they didn't say they wanted the women to be dressed in a less sexual way with boys bodies. Totally different issue. I've seen more complaining about the design in MKX's women, I never heard many people complain about MK9 outside of the manface problem. You're trying to make it seem like they toned up the sex appeal which is just confusing to me. I mean you can like the boyish design but to say they just ignored SJW's and cranked it up when the game is more PC than ever and catered is just baffling to me. Mortal Kombat is more PC than ever before, and it'll likely continue in that way. I'm not picking on you, just keeping you honest.  |

Mika got an ass smack, we had jiggling breast and the works. They just cranked it down a notch because they were scared of the backlash. But, even with the censorship they are far more raunchy than in previous games.
Nrs on the otherhand has had a manface issue for a while. But, the bodies were great. Now they have manfaces and shit bodies. So, it's a lose lose when before it was a lose win.

We're talking about the censorship being pandering in SFV, which is why it was a surprise because they seemed to not care until then. Everything else they've been fine. I'm not sure they're all around more raunchy because they had Poison in SF4 who was more over the top than anything in SFV. Cammy still had ass shots and the screen started with one. You also had more panty shots with Sakura. I just think SFV has a darker feel to it with better graphics. They also improved upon the ugly art style. Now Samus is a great example of a character who was sexed up in more recent games. Cammy's breasts were made larger too though but her ass was larger in old games. They've always had bouncing breasts. R. Mika's ass smack was censored and that's a taunt in Japan. Dan did it and Soul Calibur had ass smacks as well. Poison's Ultra 2 takes the cake for suggestive.  |

The Big Daddy C-Master I don't know... Maybe I'm also biased because I love Mortal Kombat but you know me, you know how much I hate SJW's... I love the characters of Street Fighter and I think I own like 4 copies of Street Fighter IV, me making the decision not to buy SFV is a big deal, while I hate SJW's more now than I did back in April, if for a second I thought that Mortal Kombat was pandering to SJW's I would've took the game off my buy list. MKX is certainly trying to be a lot of things SJW's want but at the same time so is Game of Thrones and nobody calls that show SJW pandering. Game of Thrones has the hot women, the violence and sometimes the sexy outfits, but it also has lots of Gay characters, diverse women (body and race) and strong female characters. MKX literally does the same thing. I could be biased, sometimes you can't tell the difference between bias but I for me, they made the women hotter, they are more unrealistic now because Sonya Blade is so small and skinny which is Ironic because they wanted to go realistic... If we didn't have this conversation and you asked me "What's SJW about MKX?" I would've said "No more big boobs, gay characters and less sexy outfits." The female characters just don't come across as SJW pandering to me. I'm hyped for Mirror's Edge 2, but that game is full of SJW pandering and as a result I need to so the game out in the wild before I can make a decision to buy it. Everyone has different opinions, I'm not denying that MKX is trying to be more diverse or that some changes have probably been influenced by SJW's. I just don't believe that the game is SJW pandering. As for the male characters not changing, they're still incredibly buff, I think Johnny Cage is the only one that was toned down. At the same time, I play characters that I like the look of, Bo Rai Cho is a funny character but I'll never play him and the same goes for Rufus in SF4. I want to play as someone that looks cool like Ryu or Scorpion and if they Scorpion skinny to more resemble an actual Ninja he wouldn't have that Badass feel anymore. MKX isn't the series to strive for realism whether that's a diversity thing or a Dark Knight thing, it's disappointing that the women have been made more realistic instead of like their male counterparts, I would love for Kitana to be running around in a skimpy outfit with a slightly more curvy body, but we didn't get that but what we did get was the sexiest MK women yet (Yes I know you think I'm crazy but I'm actually in the majority on this.) And I just don't understand why I would complain about something that is better. I hate SJW's I absolutely hate them. That's all I have to say, I'm not doing this double standards thing, I look at SFV and I'm like "Awesome sexiest women yet." then I hear it's being censored because of SJW's "Now I can't buy it." MKX I heard the female characters were being toned down I was like "Don't you dare go SJW on me." Then I see Kitana "Ok she has more clothes but damn look how hot she is, and her outfit is still sexy." Mileena shows up "Okay these chicks are hot. Thank you Netherrealm!" That's literally just my thoughts. I really don't think this is a double standards case. I'm not denying it's been toned down but at the same time I just don't think it's SJW pandering. (I'm in the majority because in MK vs DC and MK9 all you would hear is how Wonder Woman is ugly, Sonya is ugly, Kitana is ugly and so on but when Kitana in MKX was revealed there was so many comments like "Woah, they made her hotter.")

Game of Thrones has lots of hot women and nude/sex scenes that people also whine about too. So it gets a pass since they complain about it.
My point was that liking it doesn't mean no pandering.
Let me give you an example. I like the Simpsons overall. Yes they've gotten worse over time (naturally) but I still like the show. Now there are times in these comedy shows where they make men look stupid and make women look good for political correctness reasons. Even in Season One they did this with the finale. Personally I *hate* when they do this, but it doesn't take away my enjoyment from the show entirely. I can acknowledge it and enjoy the show. Don't think liking a game that pandered overall makes you a hypocrite or anything if you acknowledge it. I like some of the things that MKX did better but I feel MK9 still captures the old school essence a bit better, but MKX got better reception than SC5 did about jumping a generation.
Kim Possible is also one of my favorite shows and Kim was good at everything while Ron was the guy and was bad at most things. He still had his strengths and he made up for it in the season finale when he was the strongest character. I acknowledge it and I still like the show. It's no big deal. I think you at least agree that they toned down the women and not the men (Johnny Cage looks the most "realistic") and that's fine. MK is not a "realistic" series. When I saw they toned down the women and not the men I wasn't a fan.
They censored SFV but the women still look attractive and sexier than ever in their 3d model form, so I can at least give them that.
We don't have to agree on the hotness. I think we do agree on the manface problem overall and I hope they fix that in the next game.

Because outside of the Sex Scenes that a part of the story there is no focus on them and the only reason they get attention is because of nudity. In Far Cry 3 I dunno, there's one where it's kinda sex but you're drugged up and then the real sex one is kinda fucked up because you kill your friends and then get stabbed after it... Did I think they were graphic? Not really. If Far Cry 3 came out today I think SJW's will be attacking left right and centre, some attacked Far Cry 4 because of the sexy Chinese(?) woman who drugs you up and tries to seduce you. |
