My team vs your old team (Heh)

Now this is going back almost 2 years (Back when i first started posting at KMC) I entered a thread started by C Master and some of his friends.

Back then he made a thread where he put together a 4 man team, and asked other posters to develop a team that could beat them fairly.

Their team consisted of:

Dante with his max potential unlocked and all his weapons.

Ryu with his maximum potential unlocked

Shin Akuma with max potential unlocked

and M. Bison at his strongest point (Shin Bison with the Psycho Drive.

So I developed a team of my own


Onslaught (Fully upgraded)


Cyber Akuma


Gill


And Orochi

I am bringing this up because i wish to see just how much our oppinions have changed in two years...

Edit: I just realised, 3 of my 4 team members are all glowy flashy sorta characters... *Stares mesmerised*

So you want a new team created, or did you want to compare the two?

If I remember correctly, Onslaught was just broken...

Cyber Gouki, that's 1 cool underrated version of Gouki. So like what are the limits to the characters we can use? Cuz I could just assemble some Darkstalkers that can pretty much wipe them out. Or...

Apocolypse can possibly take Onslaught.

Thanos can probally take Cyber Gouki

A serious Oro could take Gill, most likely.

Ash Crimson when he takes all the powers of the Sacred treasures can take Orochi.

Onslaugh would most likely beat Apoc IMO, a better match would be Thanos vs. him.

You maybe right cause it took the X-Men, the Hulk, Fantastic 4, and like 10 other people to beat him even some of the bad guys had to help, It was like Marvel VS Onslaught. IMO, Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet would crush Onslaught.

I think the limits where no Ungodly characters to the scale of Galactus or Thanos or DBZ characters if I remember right...

I think that C masta here was trying to get a good SF/KOF level of characters going, and since they used fully unlocked Shin Akuma and Ryu, I decided to pull out the stopps and develop a powerful team of fighting game characters myself, Onslaught was my favourite boss on the MVC series so I threw him in, and since Akuma is my alltime fave fighting game character, and they where already using him, I threw in my lot to Cyber Akuma.

Gill and Orochi where good backup choices since they where as powerful as any character they had on their roster.

In my mind at the time, there where not alot of choices... I could have mixed in elements from my later team, like mana beast, or Omega Weapon, or Sin. But I wanted that fighting game feel

Besides, at the time, wasn't Full Potential Ryu considered Godly?

I just don't know what any of them would do against Onslaught... he's well in the Darkstalkers level.

We tried to keep them a certain level.

Onslaught was of course more balanced in the actual game.

I meant the comic version, maybe that's the confusion.

Well, onslaughts ability to transform, is likened to that oif Dante, or Ryu to Evil Ryu.

At the time, the hype was rampant about Ryu's unlockable potential, thats the primary reason I chose Onslaught, However, other factors included Dante with all his stuff fully unlocked... thosetwo, along with Shin Akuma was pushing the limits pretty high.

Outside of Onslaught, I don't think I picked anyone overly powerful (Even though Cyber Akuma brought back many nightmares...)

I'd give Max Ryu City Bursting power at most, or mountain busting, but not reality altering. But it depends on the media...

Well then he could be that bad... SF'ers do get more powerful on a very linear level afterall. One part they're sorry kids getting whooped by Guile, 2 weeks later they're breaking tidal waves...

And at the time Ryu at full potential unlocked was considered Uber Godlike, however, I think that that part was overhype to the max.

I think people considered it slightly above what Akuma was at his max, which I think is fine. Not sure if it would be a Darkstalker character though.
