Meitenkun can start sleepfighting in his pajamas on April 12th; see the costume trailer here
SNK released a trailer for Kula Diamond’s sundress DLC costume, first revealed following the KOF XIV World Championship. Keeping up the pace, they’ve now done the same for Meitenkun’s pajama costume, which will also be available Tomorrow.
The trailer–which you can see below–shows all 6 color variations (which includes his new cat plushie, that replaces his signature pillow) in addition to a few combos and intros.
Though no pricing details have been announced, Meitenkun’s pajamas, along with Kula’s sundress, will likely share Classic Iori’s price tag of $2.99.

Big bad wolves beware: Sylvie’s new Red Riding Hood costume for The King of Fighters XIV
The King of Fighters XIV is getting a bunch of new DLC costumes today; we’ve already seen the first two of these: Kula Diamond’s sundress and Meitenkun’s pajamas. Now, SNK has dropped a trailer for the third costume.
Newcomer Sylvie gets ready to head to grandma’s house with a new Little Red Riding Hood costume. Of course, fighting game veterans are already aware that little girls in red hoods are big trouble, and with the recent changes brought about by the 2.0 balance patch, Sylvie promises to also be so–as the video below demonstrates.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Make a deal with the devil with Angel’s “Diabla” costume for The King of Fighters XIV
And joining the previously showcased Kula’s sundress, Meitenkun’s pajamas, and Sylvie’s red riding hood costumes is this devilishly sexy outfit for for Angel.
This costume for Angel is an obvious play on her name, with “Diabla” meaning “she devil”–the opposite of an angel, naturally. The costume comes complete with a set of horns on her head and wings on her back. With her dangerously playful and flirtatious personality, this costume seems to be a perfect fit for Angel.

Bug fixes and balance changes abound in The King of Fighters XIV’s version 2.01 patch
SNK’s The King of Fighters XIV has just received a new update on PlayStation 4. The update seems to be a relatively benign one, focused mostly on squashing a few stray bugs for both the game system and the characters. However, it also brings with it a few balance changes for the cast.
A number of the changes revolve mostly around things that could be considered bugs: these include certain backdashes having invulnerability against low attacks, and some overhead attacks not connecting in certain situations. Is Chizuru possibly the first of a second wave of DLC characters for The King of Fighters XIV?
As some of you may know, SNK recently held a press conference in China, where they talked about The King of Fighters XIV. While the biggest bit of news to come from this was the announcement of the PC version, it seems that there the company may have let on more than they were planning to.
As part of a presentation on the game’s upcoming appearance at Evo 2017, they put on a slide showing the characters that are in the game. Among these characters however is one character who isn’t like the rest… As shown in the tweet below from Shiki, a portrait of Chizuru Kagura was seemingly included in the slide.
For those not familiar with the character, Chizuru originally debuted in The King of Fighters ’96 as a mid-boss, before becoming a recurring cast member in later installments. As a member of the Yata family, one of three families who carry the sacred treasures that power the seal that keeps Orochi from our world, she’s a pretty important part of the series’ lore.
As for whether or not this is a hint that she is coming to The King of Fighters XIV, or just an honest mistake on SNK’s part, we have no idea.

King of Fighters XIV Adding New Character & Stage Based on Middle East Written By: Nyu Nozomi Hyuga Its been awhile since we had some DLC content for KOFXIV, previously we had characters that came from previous KOF entries Whip (KOF99), Yamazaki (KOF97), Vanessa (KOF99 Evolution), & Rock (KOF: Maximum Impact). We also had 2 stages from Transcontinental Railroad (Terry's Fatal Fury 2 Stage) & City Circuit (KOF97 Stage). But as of recently, KOFXIV will be releasing new content down the road. The content was a result of a fanart contest organized by local publisher Manga Productions for residents of a few Middle Eastern countries (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iraq, UAE, Oman, and Others within the continent), which SNK selected over 300 entries. Here is bit of description: "The winning character, designed by Mashael Al-Barrak from Saudi Arabia is a female combatant appearing to come from the Saudi region named Najd. The stage was designed by Zainab Al-Lawaty from Oman, and it produces a vista of Masmak Fort in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia." Mashael Al-Barrak herself as she receives her prize from SNK CEO Zhihui Ge. There is currently no information on when we will be getting our DLC content relating to the Middle East, these artwork would give you an idea on what we might be getting. Source: dualshockers

Oswald is King of Fighters 14's newest DLC character SNK introduces Oswald, the game's newest DLC fighter. Oswald is an older gentleman who fights using playing cards. He has large slash attacks that utilize cards, and can create a ring of them around him while attacking. He made his first appearance in King of Fighters 11 as an original character for the installment. Oswald was a part of the year's Hero Team, joined by Ash Crimson and Shen Woo. Back in December, SNK released a tweet saying that a new King of Fighters 14 character would be playable at EVO Japan -- which is taking place this weekend. The only hint we got at who the new character might be was an image of a Joker playing card that came along with the tweet. www.eventhubs.com/news/2017/dec/18/new-king-fighters-14-character-be-playable-evo-japan/At this time, it does not appear that a release date for Oswald has been divulged. We might be seeing that announcement during the event this weekend. www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2018/jan/25/oswald-king-fighters-14/2/Below you will find Oswald's official move list in King of Fighters 14, courtesy of SNK. Four DLC characters confirmed for King of Fighters 14, set for April release date
During the concluding ceremonies for EVO Japan, SNK revealed that there would be a total of four new King of Fighters 14 characters joining the roster.
It was back in November of last year that we learned a new female Saudi Arabian character would eventually make her way into King of Fighters 14.
Just a few days ago, we learned that Oswald would also be making his way into the game.
While we do have the basic concept art for the new Saudi character, which you saw in the banner, we have not seen her in-game model yet.
Just in case you haven't seen them yet, you can view the full images for the Saudi character and stage as well as Oswald's reveal trailer after the jump.
You'll see the DLC silhouettes (with Oswald already revealed) thanks to the tweet from Chigesoku included below. After you check out the media, let us know who your KOF hopefuls are for the two unrevealed newcomers.

Heidern revealed as King of Fighters 14's next DLC character Another big fighting game reveal today as SNK has released a trailer for King of Fighters 14's next DLC character. Spoiler alert: it's Heidern. The showcase gives us a look at what this warrior can do in the latest installment in the series. Heidern made his playable debut back in The King of Fighters '94 as part of Team Brazil -- which later came to be known as the Ikari Team. He is the commander of the Ikari Warriors and adoptive father to Leona, who happens to be one of his best soldiers. In King of Fighters 14, Heidern stands tall and fights with long limbs. He has a projectile and slash attacks similar to Leona, and has a super that sees him toss out a spinning wheel of energy that hits multiple times. images: www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2018/feb/22/heidern-king-fighters-14/1/Source: eventhubs

Patch Ver. 3.00 The 3.0 patch introduces a number of character balance changes, as well as adds new characters, stages, and functionality improvements. Players can get their hands on returning fighters Blue Mary, Oswald, and Heidern as DLC. Najd, a brand new character to the series, also sees her release today. The 3.0 update comes in at a 1.280 GB file size. Along with the aforementioned additions, this patch also brings about several bug fixes. The new DLC characters are available on the PS Store now. Blue Mary, Oswald, Heidern, and Najd come with a price tag of $5.99. To save a bit of money, you can also opt to get bundle 2 for $19.99, which includes all four of the new fighters. www.snk-corp.co.jp/us/games/kof-xiv/news/KOF-XIV_patch_ver.3.00_en.pdf------------------------------------------------------------------------------ King of Fighters 14 new patch comes with odd distortion bug when Robert lands one attack in particular A Twitter user by the name of GJbu_man has uploaded some footage of a newly discovered visual bug in King of Fighters 14. Said bug involves Robert as he lands his Hien Senpuu Kyaku attack, which sees him smack his foe with a machine gun barrage of kicks. When this happens, certain characters become warped in appearance, either stretching out to Pumpkinhead-like status or becoming smashed down as though they were a humanoid accordion. It seems as though this bug came along with the recent patch update that included both balance changes and new DLC characters. It doesn't appear as though this will affect too much in the way of gameplay, but could definitely use a hot fix for presentation's sake. Here are a pair of stills showing how Nakoruru and Chang become warped when hit by Robert's Hien Senpuu Kyaku technique, and the third one is a video clip so you can see it in action. www.eventhubs.com/imagegallery/2018/apr/13/king-buggers-14/1/Source: eventhubs
