So, is Superman really bad or just misunderstood?

Misunderstood.
I'll be honest, I like certain parts of him but I think writer's tend to listen to fans way too much.

He was my very fav character back in classic days. It is sad when a character can't lose anymore because their fans are too spoiled to accept it.

I always liked the idea behind him the problem he became a person who can't loose and when someone never looses everything they stand for seems to take a back seat to what new powers they are gonna get.

Sounds like a few characters.
But there's a reason why Batman outsells him in absolutely every issue. Batman does lose, Superman doesn't. I mean Batman usually beats his opponent but not before his opponent gets away with murder half the time. And Batman has lost his parents, his sidekick (sort of), his first batgirl, his city, his back, his sidekick's parents on three accounts, his best friend's wife, at least 2 of his personal friends turn into his enemies, 2 sidekicks turn into enemies, 1 computer program, do I need to keep going. Batman loses more often than most. This is one of the reasons why is character is more interesting. He ends up being defined by his loss.

That's the thing with Street Levelers though, they stay interesting because they are more realistic and immersive. Making them more ideal to read. There's only so many times you can hear about an omniversal threat before it gets old.

Yeah I know what you mean. How many last second wins can Superman pull out of Arse to save the cosmos before it becomes repititive.
But just for refernce I like Superman and if I ever got to write for comics he and the Juggernaut are the ones I would want to write.

Superman is a love or hate character.
But i love parts and hate parts.
I hate that he never loose, i hate T-Vo.
I love that he is iconic, i love that he was one of the original superheroes.
I love Supergirl.

Are they your two very favorite heroes? Superman isn't one of them but just the like I said the potential that still even after so many decades I would just love to write that.

I love Supergirl too... Does ANYONE like T-Vo? I hated T-Vo stupidest thing ever. Superman is already an unstoppable brawler so now let's give him an unstoppable mystical mental attack as well. It's like Pre-C Supes

I think so in fact I think he has used it twice hasn't he? I don't think we'll see alot of it though hopefully because well it is a cheap way to win every fight he is in.

I wonder what they'll come up with next. Soul Vision....oh wait they all ready did that. To tell you the truth I wouldn't be surprised at all if we learn that the reason why Krypton was destroyed was because eventually all the people would evolve into pure energy God-Like Beings. Basically turning Superman into the Silver Surfer and Gladiator rolled into one

I've always liked Superman, but I would like to see him get knocked around more. I also think T-Vo and soul vision were terrible ideas. I don't think he's the worst character ever though.

I think that Supes is a very complicated yet overhyoed and overrated character. He loses a lot so easily. Even Batman has beat him. He lost to Doomsday with the greatest of ease.

I think that Supes is a very complicated yet overhyoed and overrated character. He loses a lot so easily. Even Batman has beat him. He lost to Doomsday with the greatest of ease. But the writers also cater to him to make him come back and win with ease to please their fanboys, that's what pisses people off.

For the most part I can't stand Superman's books. The guy just doesn't have all that many challenges.

And the opponents he faces are sometimes so tough there shouldn't be a win for him and the fact that he does win is just another sign of someone being entirely too much of a Superman fan.
