Hm, I feel this is kinda overstated. DC in terms of characters with a human feel has stepped up their game: Batman, ION, and Batgirl pre-OYL, For me it can't be used as anymore, though I respect your opinion. That's what I mean, look at Spiderman, his life sucks in a day to day sense, easily one of the most relateable superheroes out there.
I guess that's where we diverge, I enjoy reading about classics. Hell, reading classic characters with classic style of writing is great even in modern times for me. I guess that's why I can enjoy: Popeye, Peanuts, and more even now. To me classic characters can be updated in terms of animation, but I'm fine keeping everything else the same.  [/I][/quote] I love the classics to, that's everything from Manga, to comics, to Garfield. I simply meant the setting is more of current times versus old times, the characters tend to deal with more day to day issues, or in a day to day way. I just nowadays pick up a comic and read it, I generally enjoy what I find. I was reading a good Blade comic yesterday.

Secret Wars was probably my favorite Marvel events, it introduced something to me that was unheard of, a LIKEABLe omnipotent character.

How often do you get comics? I used to get them all the time, stopped for awhile, but am getting back into comics and try to get them as often as I can. I still haven't gotten the friggin Countdown comic where SMP and Monarch fight.  |

Supes is not the worst, but he's far from the best. Jubilee sux pretty hard. Her real name is Jubilation Lee for crying out loud. Hyperion from Supreme Power is waaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than Supes
