What about this one? It would be funny verbally, but the brutality kills it. They should do a "make me a sandwich" one. Have you seen the jailbait one? No I haven't.

Superman certainly isn't the worst character ever, but I do think they could tweak his character. For one, make him less powerful....he should run into trouble more often than he does. Take away him being able to get thousands of miles into space from his home in one second....take away him being able to pick up a building. Make him superhuman but overpowered.

Moving fast is ok, but not faster than everyone. Picking up buildings isn't the problem, it's the planets and solar systems that are. Superman is probably the king of feats, so if someone knows something shouldn't be done, it's hard to argue because fanboys will pull bad feats anyways.

Well, it's cool if he can make quick swipes to grab up criminals, but he shouldn't be lightspeed. I know about him lifting planets (can't lift a solar system, lol) years before, but even now I kind of feel he's a bit overpowered, even though writers claim for him to be underpowered.

Superman has moved a Solar System before, albeit a fledgling system. It can be argued whether or not he "lifted" it, but it is still a remarkable feat nevertheless.

You are thinking or Pre-Crisis Superboy I believe, who tugged a galaxy's worth of planets on a chain.
Current Superman however moved the Mageddon Wheel, which is Solar System sized.

To avoid confusion let me rephrase it then, Current Superman has moved a Solar System before, albeit a fledgling system. It can be argued whether or not he actually "lifted" it, but it is still a remarkable feat nevertheless.

I think most know what I'm talking about. As far as moving planets with force that would require tacticle telekinesis anyways I'd imagine, you can't really "push" atmosphere.

Well there are a plethora of characters who can challenge Superman pretty easily.
I don't know why writers have him face pussies honestly...

Right now he is battling Braniac, but I agree. Most of his fights are against people that would be beneath his level of power.

Wheels as big as a solar system being pushed by him alone. That's like a pre-crisis feat and he was said not to b that strong which is obviously not true.

Can we blame them when writers make whatever they want up? At one point I heard supes could gain whatever power he wanted as long as he had sunlight.

I think a lot of it has to do with today's idea of what a hero should be vs. Supes origin.

Also, the way he's handles factors in as well. I'd like to see a less serious superman, sorta more cartoonish one with wacky toon physics. He'd be much more of a fun character IMO.

They tried something colorful with all-star superman. However, he just came off as overpowered rather than charming.
