I don't know. Off topic, but I do know that playing fighting games tends to rub certain religious groups the wrong way. Not that it matters to me whatsoever.

I wonder how these guys will react if I suddenly just brought some of my friends to one of these overly religious centers and put on some DOA5LR and then picked Kasumi's Aloha Getaway costumes with a CPU Hitomi wearing the Aloha Getaway costume... in the Danger Zone with all kinds of crazy explosions... on the biggest television I can find. I'd probably get crucified for it. ... DOA5LR at a movie theatre...? Now I did play in a handful of FG tournament at movie theatre's once upon a time... Imagine yourself playing DOA5LR on the biggest television screen you could find. Eeeeh... Sorry for going too far off topic here.

I know many of them had Halo parties back in the day though where I went.

Haven't been in this thread for a while. Back when I was going through crap in my life I was really religious. These days, not so much if not at all. No, I don't think God exsist or at least there's no proof that God exsist. Burden of proof is on the theist.

So you've gotten it out of your system then? I remember a couple of years back we argued about it big time lol.
I think most people use it like that. I have people I know who continue to do the same thing and hope that God will fix their problems for them only to find it doesn't work.
What exactly was going on then (you don't have to get too personal if you don't want) but was it family oriented? Other life stuff?

It's not too personal.
I used to be one of those "nice guys" and I wanted to be "good" was really altruistic and had a hard time squaring it with how the world really as. Once I found out it was all BS I spent my time trying to make sense of the world. What got it out of my system was when I realized that morality was pure BS used to control others. The rules are made by those who have power and never apply to those who make them just sheep. That's when I was done. Once you decide to stop being a sucker you can't fall for bait. I just wanna be me and do my thing.

Yea no sense in pushing others further ahead when you can make your own life better. I've had my own things to overcome and when I was religious I did used to pray, but it was a waste of time. Funny looking back at the things I write down when I was going through them then compared to how I think now.

Praying helped me cope, but it never actually solved the problem. One thing about religion that is similar if not the same as poverty is most of your energy is spent coping not solving your problems. Definitely no point in helping others period, at least I don't care to. I just want to live my life however I choose.

You can help others in a way that benefits you. That's how others get rich. Making products and services that fulfill others and by doing so make their own lives better.
People could be coping by exercising, eating better, getting out, working on things, socializing more, etc. Or actually fixing their life. I guess it's easier to have a crutch for many people.

That's more give and take for me. It's bargaining and exchanging which I have no qualms with, but sticking my neck out for people? No thank you.
I'm in the philosophy of live and let live. How people cope is none of my concern.

Right seek to make mutually beneficial exchanges versus just losing for someone else's gain. Losers and corrupt people like that system because it benefits them.

Right, fraud and corruption kill the golden goose. So, it's beneficial if people in a given system abstain from it. That's about as moral as I can get anymore lol.

That's as moral as it gets. People are honest about fulfilling themselves too. Not sure why so many people feel the need to lie about it.

They lie so they can take advantage of you. It's like how women lie and say they just want a good guy when what they really mean is they want a sucker who will wine and dine them while they differ sex to some alpha bad boy.

Well people do what's in their own self interest. Many of these females come around when they're older and can't find a man lol.
