It might just be true. A PC release that is. www.dsogaming.com/news/dead-or-alive-5-last-round-listed-by-esrb-for-the-pc/"A couple of days ago, we informed you about the appearance of a Dead or Alive 5: Last Round for the PC on Play-Asia. Back then, we wondered whether that was a mere mistake by the online retailer or not. And today, we bring new more evidence to back up the existence of this rumored PC version for the latest part in the Dead or Alive fighting series.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round PC was listed by ESRB, making it almost official. As always – and since Tecmo Koei has still not revealed anything about a PC version for its fighting game – we suggest taking it with a grain of salt.
In case ESRB removes the PC platform from the game’s listing, we went ahead and captured a screenshot from it.
Kudos to our reader ‘Halil Ra’ for informing us!

What do you guys think of the latest version of the game? Some people are frustrated that the PC version is getting delayed, but what about the new characters?

It's essentially an easier Virtua Fighter. 3d fighters have a lot more to memorize but it's not as execution focused, so it's different. Are you good at mindgames?

Are they against PC mods, or are they saying something else? www.mcvuk.com/special-features/read/the-big-game-dead-or-alive-5-last-round/0165As well as marking DoA’s debut on PS4 and Xbox One, Last Round is also the very first entry in the series to make it to PC, via Steam.
Asked why the series has waited almost two decades to make the move, Shimbori highlights the growing acceptance of PC as a mainstream platform.
“The adoption rate of high-spec PCs and related peripheral devices has traditionally been lower than consoles,” he comments. “But these days, the perspective of PC gaming has changed drastically and we expect more fighting games will be released for PC users.”
Despite this, he warns that one of the PC’s most active scenes – the modding community – should be careful not to turn off publishers looking to make their debut.
“We have to deal with mod issues from an IP holder perspective,” he explains.
“We would like to ask PC users to play our game in good moral and manner. Otherwise, we won’t be able to release a title for PC again.”

Looks like the Playstation 3 Version is pushed back as well. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/feb/13/dead-or-alive-5-last-round-release-date-pushed-back-playstation-3-users-teamninja-offers-sexy-bonus-beach-costume-bundle/We're just four days away from the newest Dead or Alive title... that is, unless you're a PlayStation 3 user.
Team Ninja has made an announcement on their website stating:
"We have been informed that due to unexpected issues the PlayStation Store release date for Dead or Alive 5 Last round on PlayStation 3 in North and South America has been moved from February 17 to February 24. We are working closely with Sony Computer Entertainment America to meet this revised release date. A bonus costume bundle (Beach Party Set) will be available for download for the first four weeks after launch."
Here are the bonus beach costumes referenced in the announcement.

Apparently there are a ton of bugs. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/feb/18/doa5lr-known-issues-roundup-hayate-and-phase-4-wont-fight-same-team-xb1-ver-freezing-mad-catz-razer-fight-stick-incompatibility/Koei Tecmo Games's Dead or Alive 5 Last Round has finally hit store shelves in North America. Unfortunately, since the game's release, there have been numerous reports of users encountering game crashes and other sorts odd glitches that have had a negative impact on their experience with the game on launch day.
What sort of odd glitches, you ask? Well, for instance, in the PS3 version of DOA5LR, if you were to go into a tag match and select Hayate and Phase 4 to have them fight on the same team, the game will simply not allow you to proceed with the match. That's kind of creepy -- it's almost as if the characters have a mind of their own.
Fortunately, this is not a bizarre case of artificial intelligence gone rogue, but merely one of two known issues Team Ninja Studio have identified on their official FAQ, which covers many of the things DOA5LR customers should know about their game. Click image for larger version
And that's just the beginning.
Read on to find out more about what other issues DOA5LR players are having with the game, and what you can do to potentially circumvent the problems. Xbox One game crashes
A number of users on the Xbox One version of DOA5LR are reporting an unusually high rate of crashes with their copy of the game.
Fortunately, the good folks over at /r/DeadOrAlive have figured out that you can prevent the game from crashing or freezing so often by simply disabling the "throwdown" functionality, which seems to be what's causing the problem.
X360 version: download these mandatory DLC catalogs to avoid save data loss
Earlier this morning, Team Ninja issued on Twitter an important warning for DOA5LR players running the X360 version of the game.
For users launching up the game for the first time after the February 17 title update, it is important to note that launching the game without DOA5U costume catalogs 4, 9, 11, 14, 17 and DOA5LR costume catalog 2 can lead to the game being unplayable, and your save data getting deleted.
The easiest way to tell if your copy of the game suffers from this issue is to check if this image is what your game screen looks up when you boot into the main menu:
If you see this screen, do not press the A button -- doing so could wipe your save data.
Instead, boot out to your Xbox home screen, go to the Xbox Games Store, and download all of the required packs mentioned above.
Xbox One fight stick incompatibility
There have also been many reports (via IGN and SRK) of Mad Catz and Razer fight sticks not working as intended in the Xbox One version of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.
Currently, it appears that this issue only affects XB1 users -- there have no reports of fight stick incompatibility issues on the PS3, PS4 and X360 versions.
Team Ninja is currently speaking to the fight stick makers to root out the problem.
And finally, apart from all of the above known issues, Team Ninja also has some very important information about DLC and game save transfers to disseminate to DOA5LR users.
You can find a full list of that information in their FAQ over here.

The Social Justice Warriors are at it again. Ban the costumes at tournaments? When will it stop? www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/feb/28/dead-or-alive-community-aims-ban-over-120-overly-sexualized-costumes-dead-or-alive-5-last-round/The latest iteration of Dead or Alive has been out for a few weeks now, and the overall reception seems to be rather positive.
As with the introduction of any new title, we expect to see a surge in tournament frequency and attendance. With the coming flux of attention, the community has decided to put a soft ban on no less than 129 costumes that have been deemed too revealing for general audiences.
The Dead or Alive franchise has been known for its highly-sexualized portrayal of women in clothing that leaves little to the imagination.
Acknowledging that some of the game's content may be unsuitable for the more professional atmosphere they'd like to promote at tournaments, some members of the community have come together to regulate what is acceptable and what is not. Below is a quote from Free Step Dodge, DOA's go-to forum site. "This is a movement that was discussed by several members of the community to try and help turn around the image that has plagued the franchise. DOA has always been known for its over-sexualized females and just that alone has pushed people away from even trying the game. Sex Appeal in the DOA franchise will never go away but we, the community, want people to take it seriously and started the costume ban at offline tournaments to force people to focus more on the game play aspect of the game. This is a soft ban and is at the discretion of the tournament organizer (TO) running the game at the event. However we HIGHLY encourage people to not use the suggested costumes on stream for something like Top 8."
Hit the jump to see what costumes are banned and hear what one Free Step Dodge administrative representative has to say on the subject.
'The HuBBs,' one of Free Step Dodge's administrators and an active member in the community, has posted a general, recommended list of tournament rules.
We reached out to The HuBBs, asking to what extent these rules will likely be enforced. His response:
"The rules posted in the tournament section are just a suggested guideline that can be applied by any TO. The idea was discussed by several members at a recent event and it was proposed that we soft ban the over-sexualized costumes for mainly streams to try and negate most of the negative criticisms of the game to get people interested in the actual game play itself."
A tip of the hat to the DOA community for making a conscious effort to keep things respectful and classy. It is something of a subjective issue which could be argued in either direction, but it is good to see they are aware of potential negativity in their game and are willing to do something about it.

SJW man, when are gonna get PC tournaments so this garbage can end? Do you see the dumb arguments they're making there. Stuff like men walking around shirtless is empowering, yet shameful for women, all while complaining about the double standard. If you said that women should be covered up and respect themselves you'd be a sexist for that. The other idiot says something about asking your mother what she thinks. Yea, like chicks are honest about what they want in men. Why do they spend so much time on their appearance?

I still want to understand why attractive women dressed in bikinis is bad. They're not nude. #1. If the women were ugly nobody could care, or fat for that matter. Or old. #2. For some reason violence is ok in this country with crap like Hatred. What about Mortal Kombat? #3. Why did the men stuff stay with all of their fanservice. This is the same dumb crap that broad here was spouting.

Speaking of Mortal Kombat if Women had their way we would probably get female models like we have in the new MK: Is that a man or a female gorilla?

This game will be out in few weeks from now, I already pre-purchased this game when it first came to "Upcoming" section as an appreciation for fighting games coming to steam. I noticed that this thread is old and you guys saw it coming and probably know the game better. For those who knows the game, I just want to ask the basic mechanics of the game as I've never played any of the series before. maybe comparison, is this like tekken? how about the input commands? Of course I made a little research before posting but I still need someone to break it down for me. that would be cool, Thanks.

DoA is more comparable to Virtua Fighter which is what inspured it's creation and you have a rock-paper-scissors system of strike, counter, and throw. www.doaworld.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3590-doa5-basics-guide/

Wow, the first video helps a lot. just what I need. Thank you. it really is different from any fighting games I've played. I'm not really good with fighting games, I bought KOF XIII to improve my reaction, I say it's awesome. I liked fighting games since then.
Yes. I check upcoming everyday or alternately, when I first saw it this past January, I grabbed it instantly. other than boobies and asses, I'm glad they are coming to steam. it's just, it was supposed to be released mid February, but I don't know what happened, now it's 30th of march.

Hopefully we'll see Tekken, Soul Calibur, and Virtua Fighter on here as well. There's also a link with basics as well.

So the PC version is lacking. I knew about the online and this morning I read about it being between the PS3 and PS4 on the Steam forums, they finally release specs like a week and a half before release. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/mar/18/dead-or-alive-5-last-round-pc-minimum-specs-revealed-no-online-3-months-lacks-certain-features-ps4-version-soft-engine-etc/Now that the PC version of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round (DOA5LR) is just two weeks away from its March 30, 2015 release date, Team Ninja has released some very important information that gamers should be aware of before making their purchases: minimum and recommended PC specifications, as well as some additional product specs comparing the PC port to the PS3 and PS4 versions of the same game.
Before we get into the minimum and recommended PC specs, it's important to note that although the Steam PC version of DOA5LR will support resolutions of up to Ultra High Definition/4K (if your PC will run it), in terms of the game's effects and features the PC port is actually somewhere in between its PS3 and PS4 cousins.
Here's a helpful chart that Team Ninja put together that highlights the differences between the PC port, and the PS3/PS4 ones: Click image for translated product specifications
In summary, the PC port is equivalent to that of the PS3 version, with a few (but not all) PS4 bells and whistles added -- shadows, character selection IU (for selecting hairstyles, etc) -- and the ability to display up to UHD/4K resolution.
Read on for the minimum and recommended PC specs for the game. To be able to run Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for the PC on its minimum graphics settings, you will need at least the following specs:
OS: Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 (32bit/64bit) CPU: Core i7 870 and above RAM: 2GB and above HDD space: 10.0GB and above Display: Capable of at least 1280×720 pixels Video card: has a minimum of 1GB VRAM, and supports、DirecX9.0c or above Sound board: Compliant with DirectX 9.0c and above
For good performance, however, Team Ninja suggests that the PC you run Dead or Alive 5 Last Round on should ideally meet the following recommended requirements:
OS: Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 (32bit/64bit) CPU: Core i7 2600 and above RAM: 4GB and above HDD space: 10.0GB and above Display: Capable of at least 1920×1080 pixels, with support for True Color Video card: has a minimum of 1.5GB VRAM, and supports、DirecX9.0c or above Sound board: Compliant with DirectX 9.0c and above
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for PC will be released on Steam on March 30. You can pre-order the game now to save 10% off Steam's price here.

In retrospect, I usually end up going for characters that generally hit hard or reinforce the fighting game concepts depending on the title. Or, I just play characters that I like and then try to go from their to create additional options, emphasizing on other characters. For example, in DOA - I figure that Mila was a good choice for me... but bonus points sense I actually do like the character. Then I also play characters such as Leon, Helena, Miss Tengu, Phase 4, Hayabusa, Pai, Tina or Jacky to keep my options open... in a way, I may vary it to a degree. Also... I hope you guys enjoyed Final Round! The Danger Zone, as well as many other matches had gotten a lot of people hype! And, now we also have new costumes for DLC:

I probably start out with a well rounded character and then move on from there. Sometimes I'll play characters who are good in one area though. Do you play Virtua Fighter at all? Looking forward to the PC release somewhat even though they've cut out features unfortunately. There's only a few more days left.
