Tatsunoko costumes for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round now available

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round has just received some spiffy new costumes.

As of today, players in Japan can pick up these alternate outfits based on popular characters from the Japanese anime company, Tatsunoko. There are 16 in total, and some retain the destructible functionality.

In order to access these costumes, you must have the following:

The latest update installed before using this costume.
Purchase the characters before using this content.
Free Costume Catalog LR23 is required


The Tatsunoko costumes are currently available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

These are some pretty cool looking costumes, My only disappointment is that there is no Gatchman costumes. My personal ultimate favorite costume is Honoka as Komugi (Nurse Witch Komugi), when I saw Nurse Witch Komugi costumes I really love it and was one I did expected for it to appear. Koei Tecmo announced that Naotora Ii from the Samurai Warriors series will be joining Dead or Alive 5: Last Round as a guest character on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and arcade. Famitsu provides us with a first look.

While not much has been revealed as far as how Naotora Ii from Samurai Warriors will play in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Koei Tecmo will reveal some footage in an upcoming Tokaigi TV live stream on NicoNico Live on February 25, 2016 at 8:00PM JST.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Footage Shows Off Guest Character Naotora Ii

Koei Tecmo recently gave us a first look at Dead or Alive 5: Last Round’s guest character Naotora Ii from Samurai Warriors, and we got a closer look in a recent NicoNico Live gameplay footage. [Thanks, DualShockers.]

According to Koei Tecmo, Naotora will fight similarly to the way she does in Samurai Warriors, with a specialty in kick moves. While she is indeed speedy, they’ve adjusted her to work with the others in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will add Naotora Ii in March. She’ll also be added to the Steam version of the game.

In anticipation of the upcoming launch of strategy epic Samurai Warriors 4 Empires, KOEI TECMO and Team Ninja are thrilled to announce a set of exciting new additions headed to DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round this March!



Fan-favourite Samurai Warriors 4 character Naotora Ii joins the battle alongside the triumphant return of the Azuchi stage from DEAD OR ALIVE 3 on 17th March, and a brand new set of Samurai Warriors-inspired DLC costumes will become available for purchase on 29th March. Fans who purchased the game’s Season Pass 3 will automatically receive all of the Samurai Warriors-inspired content.



Dragged into a mysterious portal by-way-of a M.I.S.T. time-travelling experiment, the ruler of Japan’s Warring States era Ii Clan, Naotora Ii, emerges in present-day next to a competitor of the DEAD OR ALIVE fighting tournament. Given no other choice but to fight for her life, and keeping her family motto of ‘once on the battlefield, one must face the enemy head on’ in mind, a determined Naotora sets out to emerge victorious from this strange new challenge. Specialising in kick-based attacks, Naotora developed her signature ‘Ii Style Leg Strikes’ fighting style after serving under Yoshimoto Imagawa, who based his techniques on his mastery of the traditional Japanese ball game “kemari.” The quick and powerful strikes from her long legs make her a formidable rival to anyone who steps into the ring!



Naotora Ii will be available to download for €5.99. Fans can purchase her debut costume pack for €7.99, or alternatively as a bundle including new character Naotora Ii for €11.99 on 17th March for DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round on PlayStation®4 and Xbox One, and on March 29 for PC via Steam. To whet players’ appetites in the meantime, Team Ninja has shared a variety of images and screenshots of Naotora Ii in action.



March 17 will also see the release of a returning stage that players of DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round can enjoy on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One free of charge. Not seen since DEAD OR ALIVE DIMENSIONS, the beautiful Azuchi stage makes its triumphant return looking better than ever! Dropping competitors into the great hall of Nobunaga Oda's famous residence, players can break through the walls and continue brawling on its rooftops beneath a full moon. In this three-tier stage the fight can also lead to the ground, where a gorgeous cherry blossom tree overlooks the traditional building lit by torchlight.



Finally, on 29th March, Team Ninja will release a collection of outfits inspired by KOEI TECMO’s celebrated Samurai Warriors series for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

KOEI Tecmo America has announced a number of great deals for Dead or Alive 5 Last Round and its free-to-play Core Fighters variation on PlayStation Network.

First up, Jann Lee is now available to download for free in the PlayStation 4 version of Core Fighters. While the title’s available characters rotates on a regular basis, downloading Jann Lee will leave him permanently unlocked. Additionally, anyone who wants to simply unlock every character can now grab the full set for only $35.69, 30% off the regular price of $50.99.

If costumes are more your style, both versions have seen discounts on the Fighter Force and Deception costume packs. The former, which re-imagines the characters as superheroes, is available for only $16.99 (down from $22.99), while the latter has been priced at $23.79 (down from $33.99).

Interested fans can head on over to the PlayStation Store to check out these deals before they disappear on March 23.

The Dead or Alive 5 series has been going on since the release of the core title back in 2012, and the ride is still not over.

Today, owners of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can become the proud owners of the game's latest fighter, guest character from Samurai Warriors, Naotora Ii.

If you happen to own Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on PC, you'll unfortunately have to wait a while longer. She becomes available for Steam purchase on March 29th.
