The competitive scene for MK is bad, yeah. But, it really relys on the casual base.

That's why I left Eventhubs alone. SF is cartoony and has its own artstyle. Everyone has their preference but it doesn't make the game inherently bad. What background are you using now? I wish that Mortal Kombat and SF went the DoA route and made the chicks look good. People just want to whine like the ugly women who complain about my backgrounds, lol. Now we discussed SF's accessibility. I don't like the fake difficulty and the arbitrary 1f links mixed in with things like mashy reversals and stuff like that. I think SF would do better with the tutorials. thacmaster.proboards.com/thread/2025/street-fighter-4-who-appealHere's the one on SF 5. thacmaster.proboards.com/thread/2110/street-fighter-announced-cross-playactually i have no idea on what i want for sf since sf4 is my first sf game lol. EH is a cool place with cool ppl, with lots of trolls too, but i love it because they are trying very hard to put up constant tournaments results and stuffs. the comments section is actually not so bad, i learn alot about chars i don't use there because i would go into training to test if whatever they said is true, that's how i unravel the myth that is ryu have higher damage than akuma and it is the other way round in reality. still using classic at work haha. it would be a heartbreaker if MK made the chicks as good as DOA and KOF with fatality. i certainly won't want my girl mai to be tear up into pieces in MK personaly i hated the 1f links even though i can do it most of the time for ryu, but i understand that some fans love it and they like the superior feeling of been able to do it consistently as compared to other people. i love the mashy stuffs, because i absolutely hate the fake crossups and UB and ambiguous setups is a pain to deal with in SF unlike KOF, which is why i think it's a good thing you can mash after blocking to discourage your opponents from abusing it too much. if they are to remove mashing stuffs, then i hope capcom remove those ambiguous shits too lol shit i just realised i hijacked the MK thread, sorry lol !

I don't think the women need to look like Doa or Kof girls, just inspired by their look. Large sites are full of morons and trolling for me. I've lost interest after doing it for so long. That said Eventhubs is great for news. I won't be posting there though lol. There's a lot of other backgrounds that aren't as sensual lol. I don't like the bogus mixups, but I don't like how the game makes offense really precise but defensive stuff is really mashy. It should be balanced. Not fake hard but not braindead because people get away with silly play too much.

Kitana and Reptile shown today, is Jade fused into one of Kitana's style? www.vg247.com/2015/02/11/mortal-kombat-x-kitana-and-reptile-february-12-twitch-stream-details/Reptile and Kitana will be shown off properly, variations, moves and all, in tomorrow’s Mortal Kombat X Twitch stream.
mortal_kombat_x_kitana Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon dropped the news on Twitter.
The stream will start at 3pm CST tomorrow, February 12 on NetherRealm’s Twitch.
Both Reptile and Kitana received their own reveal trailers, but because Mortal Kombat X offers three different variations for each character, there’s a lot more we need to know about them.

Long stream about the game. On another note, this time around they apparently kept the man face and reduced Kitana breast and butt size.

Seriously though, what is with them and not knowing how to design attractive women. Artists usually like doing hot chicks because it's easier and faster than detailed muscle men or robots.

Now, Kitana's body looks like a little boy.

What's worst is we thought they would get better and they pulled a fast one and got worst. DOA is definelty looking better and even Street Fighter is better. TBH, not just the females but the character designs in this game are a massive step down from the previous game. Everyone looks worst are battered. Scorpion in particular has the worst redesign compared to his MK9 and Injustice form. I'm not sure if it's so much PC but bad BAD character design.

Yea I was beings semi-facetious, but it looked ok with Cassie Cage. I thought they were improving. Did the gameplay look worse to you than before in the long stream? I'm glad they fixed the man parts on Chun Li. DoA, VF, and Soul Calibur can do it. Mk should follow in their design.

Basically, he has a cloud of gas that surrounds his body and if you stand next to him or he's comboing you then you're taking damage. I thought that was cool.

I was under the impression that Cassie was going to be the "new age Sonya".
I wonder how large the cast will be at the end.

Well, they originally claimed only 8 characters from mk 9 would be returning and the rest would be new. But, that isn't the case. We haven't seen muhc new characters and the roster is almost full.

www.gamespot.com/articles/mortal-kombat-x-female-characters-will-be-more-rea/1100-6425276/?ftag=YHRe6a6b70"Mortal Kombat X Female Characters Will Be More Realistically Proportioned" "The mantra for this game has always been realism; heading towards a more realistic look," NetherRealm's production manager Spiro Anagnostakos said. "So the same thing applies to the proportions where we try to bring things back in per se to where they should be."
Another NetherRealm developer said women will look "more like women do" in the game.
"Exactly," Anagnostakos replied.
As evidence of this, Anagnostakos revealed a new character model for the fighter Kitana. As you can see above, she doesn't come across as having overly exaggerated features. By comparison, see the image at left of Mileena from 2011's Mortal Kombat.
Also during the live-stream today, NetherRealm revealed the alternative design for Scorpion (see below), and confirmed that Jade will not appear in the game. We'll have gameplay videos from today's presentation for you later today."

Are the male characters still going to be super buff? Who are they trying to cater to by making women look like boys with manfaces?

Will we have Spawn? www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/feb/17/spawn-mortal-kombat-x-todd-mcfarlane-has-given-netherrealm-permission-use-his-character/In an interview with GamerFitnation, the creator of Spawn -- Todd McFarlane -- discussed a topic that many fans have been clamoring about for some time.
According to the comic book/figure creator, NetherRealm Studios currently has permission to use his character in some of their upcoming games. They don't have forever, though, as McFarlane explains that the window is limited.
"They have access to be able to use the character [Spawn] in a couple of their games, if they want to," said McFarlane. "It's up to their discretion. I gave them a window of time, and so I'll just leave it to them to be able to do what it is that they want."
McFarlane continued, "eventually they will phone me and say 'Hey, we want to use him here. Is that OK?' Technically, it's OK, because we already said yes, they are just letting us know. I don't know if they're ever going to use it, they just might squat on it."
We will be seeing guest characters appear in Mortal Kombat X, and considering the fact that Spawn would fit in perfectly with the MK crew, there's a chance we'll be seeing him make an appearance come April.
Check out the interview below.

The Predator? www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/feb/18/rumor-predator-and-carl-weathers-be-playable-mortal-kombat-x/According to a recent report, Predator and Colonel Al Dillon (played by Carl Weathers in the Predator movie series) will appear in Mortal Kombat X.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com, an unnamed source says that the two will be joining MKX in a June DLC pack. While it does say that Predator will be playable, the report did not specify whether or not Colonel Al Dillon would be added to the roster as well.
According to the same report, Carl Weathers has given permission for his likeness to be used in the upcoming fighting game.
We've seen series creator Ed Boon hint at the potential inclusion of Predator in the next Mortal Kombat game over on Twitter, but rumblings of the Colonel being added in as well are brand new. Personally, I think the chances of Spawn being playable are far more likely, but hey, that's just me.
As with all rumors, please take this with a grain of salt.
But if Colonel Al Dillon is indeed in Mortal Kombat X, all I can say is... "baby, we got a stew goin'!"

www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/mar/11/mileena-and-johnny-cage-are-playable-characters-mortal-kombat-x-outed-amazon-listing/Johnny Cage and Mileena are playable. We previously caught a glimpse of both Johnny Cage and Mileena in the story trailer for Mortal Kombat X. But as the trailer did not depict either of them fighting, it was hard to tell if they would be making non-playable appearances in NetherRealm Studios's next-gen fighter, or if they were indeed part of the playable roster.
If you're a fan of either fighter, today we've got some very good news for you: wonder no more if Mileena or Johnny Cage would be playable or not!
A listing on Amazon for Mortal Kombat X has revealed that both fighters will indeed be playable.
Update: Apart from the artwork for Mileena and Johnny Cage, new hi-res character artwork for eight other fighters were also released, which we've included in the gallery below. Click images for larger versions
Although nowhere in the text does it suggest that Mileena and Johnny Cage would be playable, the fact that the two characters have official artwork done in the same style as the other playable fighters pretty much confirms that they are indeed part of the roster -- non-playable characters in these types of games usually do not get the same treatment.
Shortly after the images and information for Mileena and Johnny Cage were listed on Amazon, Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon had this to say:

The game is region locked on the Playstation: www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/mar/14/mortal-kombat-xs-online-play-will-be-region-locked-just-injustice-and-mk9/Update: EventHubs reader Juanito Calvicie notified us that the region locks for only play only apply to gamers on the PlayStation 3 versions of NetherRealm Studios fighting games; online play for Mortal Kombat 9 and Injustice is region-free on the Xbox 360 version.
Earlier: The online play in Mortal Kombat X will be region-locked, just like it was in Injustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat 9, NetherRealm Studios's Studio Head Shaun Himmerick confirmed today via a tweet.
@bcharred @resh_aykut region locks will be the same as injustice and MK9 were.

This means that the online servers you'll play on in Mortal Kombat X will depend on if you purchased a North American edition of the game, or a European one -- there are separate servers for US and Europe. Edit: This is only true for the PlayStation versions of the game.
And until further notice, players on the US server will not be able to play with those on the EU server, and vice-versa.
Generally speaking, this isn't a big problem, unless you have friends from across the ocean that you'd like to play with (in which case you may want to think about importing the game), or if you live outside of the United States and Europe, like I do. In Singapore (where I live), depending on the game store you go to, you may be able to find only the North American or European version of a certain game -- or sometimes, both.
The version of the game officially distributed over here by Warner Bros. is the North American version, but many stores had also imported the European version of the game, which they could sell at a slightly cheaper price.
And what ended up happening was that a lot of fighting game fans in Singapore picked up the European version instead, not knowing that they would not be able to play with some of their friends, who were on the American version.
So if you're reading this from outside of US and Europe, and you and your friends -- or the entire scene in your country, even -- plan on jumping on the Mortal Kombat X bandwagon, now might be a good time to have a discussion about which version you'd like to grab; ideally this should be the version that most of the players in your country will be getting, too.
